It's an amazing hostel for ease to access any University within Kampala & neighbouring Sub-Urban areas, businesses, market places, leisure, etcetera. Your definite resting place to retire after a long day.

Nice place to be in

Nice hostel.. sitting toilet a little small space just enough for introverts 😌

I lived at Kalmax for about a year. The rooms are small, but it is clean, secure and very convenient!

Its more than a hostel. There shops dealing in a range of products like spare parts shops, car accessories shops like rims, tyres and all kinds of car beautifers, there florists, a money lending institution there, a clinic. To call it a hostel would deny its multipurposeness so alot of businesses go down there. Enough parking though its hard to access during super peak hours in evennings.

It's not easy to locate the washrooms. For the number of times I have visited, I have had to keep my stuff with me till I left. Parking is not enough and not easy to access or exit

Good restaurant on building, fair prices for accommodation given its location along the main road

It's a hostel located in a secure are in Kampala opposite wandegea police station. It's a walking distance to Kampala city center and if u prefer using taxi it's roughly 500-1000 shilling.

Very good hostel

It's a good place for a hostel except what I hate with it is that it doesn't have a backup generator. When electricity is off, no life at Kalmax

Not so clean, though good location

No wheelchair access. Security is great though
