Kyambogo university is a government institute offering various courses. Among many courses, it it best in engineering ( civil and building, mechanical, architecture, electrical. Biomedical, telecom, chemical, industrial,..... e.t.c.) and also education. Kyambogo is located between nakawa industrial area, banda, kiwatule and ntinda. Aside education, Kyambogo university is also a spiritual place, with a mosque, st. Kakumba chapel (C.O.U), All saints chapel (Roman Catholic), and an SDA chapel. Kyambogo is a home of wonders. It's an amazing experience to visit this institution, one of the best engineering public universities in the state. It offers both science and art courses at certificate, Diploma, Bachelor degree and Master Programs in most of the courses. It's really a great experience to be here most especially in the Technical part, it gives a more conducive environment for practice in their equipped workshops. Being a student here is a great opportunity no one should miss because KYU is a great ideal place to be for your after high school.

My experience here was a good one. My BAF classes were so hands-on. The lecturers do incredible work .. Highly Recommended for Business and Engineering courses.

I stay around Kyambogo and I have been there for many activities. It's a conducive environment for learning. It a number of new nice looking structures and nice roads. It produces good quality graduates who are doing productive things.

Started in 1928 as a small technical school on the Makerere Hill and was transferred to Kyambogo Hill in 1958 as Kampala Technical Institute. It was renamed Uganda Technical College and finally Uganda Polytechnic, Kyambogo (UPK).It was merged with Institute of teacher education into Kyambogo University with a strong bias for science and technology
