DO NOT GET COVID TESTED HERE. They are physically abusive on the procedure and have a scam network going. Our driver took us here after saying we were going to another testing facility, and gave some kind of hand signal to the staff just prior to the procedure. The results were delivered after 4 1/2 hours instead of the promised 2 hours. One of our people received a false positive test and had to rearrange flight plans. When testing back at the hotel hours later, the results were negative. Do not walk away from here....RUN away and get tested elsewhere.

Very nice hospital but they need some training about follow up after visiting doctor

First of all I am giving this hospital 1 star only because there isn’t a “0” star. My late mother was brought to this hospital 2 weeks ago. It was about 1am or past Uganda time. After taking her vitals the doctor recommended ICU, Mark you the only reason mom ended up here was because there was no ICU bed available that night in most Kampala hospitals all were full to capacity; however the finance lady Emily told my sister and her husband that she couldn’t accept admission without 15m deposit.Meanwhile my mother was running short of oxygen. I was on the phone the whole time pleading for them to admit my mother promising them I would send the money first thing in the morning. I don’t live in Uganda and honestly banks were closed in most parts of the world at that hour. Finally the Dr on duty pleaded for my mother’s life but that lady wasn’t taking any of it. I remembered I could use world remit but the problem was the money doesn’t get there instantly. Long story short my mother was admitted, they retained my sister and asked her husband to go bring his log book. For the few days my was there it has hard to get access to speak to a doctor to know her condition, the customer service ladies are extremely rude ! How do you slam a phone in a client’s ears that is paying such hefty bills to ensure you have a salary. I was left in the dilemma of worrying deeply about my sick mother and the pressure those Pakistani men put on you to pay the bill with the worst customer service. I finally managed to transfer my mother once an ICU bed became available at another hospital. My mom wasn’t well, but I can tell you that I got a peace of mind transferring her to Platinum medical. The doctors were very empathetic until her passing. Ugandan hospitals should stop exploiting the whole Covid situation. My final bill for 6 days was 43million ugx!

Hospital is okey, clean, Not well organised though they are trying but I will not say it could be affordable to everyone . Kindly make sure you have a good budget when you enter here..Parking is very big problem here..If your patient is badly off you might loose him or her as you are looking for parking ,Especially during day in rush hours.

I flew into the country with negative test results had a flight to take the next day I paid my money and fyl the way they conducted the test was so unprofessional I was then sent results stating I was positive with Covid I went to another facility to get a second opinion and sure enough I was negative these guys are the biggest Scammers I have ever met I demand my 150 ugx be returned back to me And I would suggest that who ever has gone to this facility get a second opinion these folks are playing with people s lives I

Good and professional treatment, but very disappointing follow up. They were supposed to email me the doctors report, but they never did. I am not in the country anymore, so I cannot follow up in person. Their number is not going through and their email is bouncing. Need to improve here if they want to reach international standard.

So disappointing, No communication at all concerning visiting hours and people just keep being bounced after arrival. This needs to be clearly addressed coz ts so frustrating ?

The best Hospital of Kampala / Uganda

Very unpleasant experience and disappointed with the Service of MIH staff person ROGES/ROGERS , went to hospital yesterday with my wife and 2 kids for my thumb joint treatment with Jubliee Insurance card, once done with the treatment, went to ROGES to pick the card , but it was missing, then he kept me waiting and waiting and then says you must have picked it, I said NO, then he checked again and says " ANOTHER PATIENT MUST HAVE GONE WITH YOUR CARD BY MISTAKENLY" , I asked how can it be a mistake of the patient ??,he said its NOT MY RESPONSIBLITY to check whether its belongs to that very patience or not,i asked what's the way forward he said please be patience i will tell you, he kept me waiting for like 10 mins but was doing his other workers without making any attempt to contact the patient who wrongly picked my card. There are hardly 15 cards with him, of which only 3-4 cards are of JUBILEE, he could have simply called them and request to check their card and return it back, but despite of doing this he kept me waiting and waiting, and he was very rude, this also effected the other guy, who needs to return the card. mistakes happen but handling the situation matters, rest of the staff are very humble and polite but this guy was very arrogant and rude and this will damage the trust and reputation of the whole hospital. Dear MIH we trust and believe you will make necessary actions and improvise your services.

TBH,I do not think much of the hospital which I had regarded highly in the recent past.My late mother was in ICU close to 2 weeks and I am told Sundays are for the junior doctors. Why they choose to proceed with a sensitive procedure with Junior doctors?I will never know.Its so hard to get a doctor to attend to your everyday needs because they "always have an emergency to attend to." I still believe,had the doctors given more in terms of time and information,the outcome to the situation would have been better.
