It's looks historic from the outside. On the inside the study/reading area is quite crammed with shelves and tables where you can read or use your laptop on. The collection of books to choose from is quite small and antiquated but can prove useful for older references. However, you cannot borrow-out books and have to use them from there. Fortunately, membership is quite reasonable starting at 2,000 shillings for a day with monthly and annual being cheaper. There are also computers which one can use as well as free WiFi.

Nice place, with a conducive reading environment. They also have a rich collection on Uganda, that dates back to pre-independence.

The place is well managed, and is being improved. They have a yearly program with Book Aid where they give out free books. Here is one i got in April 2019.

It's a good enough place. Quite packed, but good enough.
