Incredibly happy with the Service and all what they do make your stay comfortable. Abraham, Brenda, Cyprian and all in the main house and even the rooms people that we didn’t interact that much were all so amazing. I had a group of 14 people and we all felt at home.

An unforgettable hotel and experience. The luxury private lodges in the most stunning location amongst Bwindi’s forests. The staff were unbelievably attentive and friendly. There were lots of tiny extras that really make this an exceptional unique hotel - I’ll leave you to be surprised!

Unfortunately I have to say this is the worst value place I have ever stayed! Seems like the old manager and chef have left and it's really not at all like the website or other reviews anymore. The food was pretty bad, and the décor and rooms tired and seriously in need of renovation. The current manager was unhelpful and most often found in reception watching films. The owner was kind and gave us a night free because of the experience and we are grateful for that. But I would really discourage people from staying here.

Our time at Mahogany Springs was incredible! My husband and I stayed at this resort for two nights during our time in Bwindi. This lodge is so gorgeous. The grounds are lovely and the wildlife in and around the lodge is fantastic. We stayed in the bird view room and my husband’s favorite photos of birds from the whole trip were from the balcony of this room! The service was amazing. They did our laundry, walked us to our room in the evenings when it was dark, had incredible turn down service, and always had hot tea available to us! The food was amazing. We ate so well here! The two people tending to us here, Abraham and Cyprian, were lovely. They took great care of us! My husband had a cough just from traveling (no COVID here!), and Abraham made him hot lemon water with honey and told him to try it, and my husband felt so much better! The manager was also very attentive and gave us two sweet gorilla keychains as we left. We also adored the resort’s friendly cats, Diana and Bill. An excellent resort to stay in while you’re enjoying the gorillas and local people in Bwinidi!!

The staff, (Abraham, Cyprian, Brenda) the front desk, the location in Bwindi is all top notch. They go above and beyond superb service. The girl at the front desk made me a bracelet and repaired one that broke, the bartender Abraham is so funny and personable, Cyprian in the restaurant was so catering and very sweet. They even come and get your boots to clean them after gorilla trekking!

Mahogany Springs was our third stop on a 2 week visit to Uganda. We stayed for 3 nights and had an excellent time. The room accommodations were beautiful, clean, and spacious located in a very peaceful location amongst trees. The breakfast and dinners were perfect. There were always options of traditional Ugandan dishes as well as other options for breakfast and dinner. However, the best part about our Mahogany Springs stay was the staff. A small tight knit crew is the reason I wanted to leave this review. The manager/chef, Subedi, greeted us upon arrival and prepared wonderful meals throughout our stay. David and Abraham lead the restaurant and were amazing. They were always available with a huge smile and made sure we had everything we needed before even asking. Moses in housekeeping kept our rooms perfectly clean with turn down service and laundry preparing us for the next day. I cant say enough about our visit here. Highly recommended. - Chris

A beautiful off the beaten path lodge. The staff offered excellent service. There seemed to be nothing they would/could do for us. If you are in the Bwindi area of Uganda to go gorilla tracking make this your PLACE to stay. You won't be sorry.

I read the reviews... 🙄🤔 This place is in Bwindi !!! Please tell me if I am wrong and if so, why the location indicated is in Kampala?

LOVED every minute of my stay here! The staff is warm, welcoming and friendly. Some members of our tour group had been stuck out in the pitch black because their car broke down on the way over, so the atmosphere was kind of tense, and it was thanks to our server (omgosh i'm so sorry i forgot your names :( ) cracking jokes that the mood lightened up slightly. There's barely any wifi at this lodge (you can sit at the main building to use it, but don't expect to be downloading any photos or videos) and there's no TV in your room. But do those really matter when you're out here trekking gorillas? :)

Impeccable! Such a delight from start to finish. We were greeted with warm smiles, laughter and friendship with all of the staff the entire stay. They were flexible and accommodating when we wanted to explore and change plans. The room was great, the food was delicious, and the location is perfect to go gorilla trekking. I would also highly recommend the community tour with Apophia, and be sure to visit the Bwindi local school. Thank you, Mahogany Springs!! You made our time there feel like home, and we can’t wait to return some day!

Mahogany Springs is a beautiful lodge, located incredibly close for those going gorilla trekking yet still surrounded by gorgeous views. Service was outstanding throughout and highly attentive - Abraham was very friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious every meal, they even baked us a cake for our honeymoon. It made our night! Lastly, we enjoyed massages at our room and they were outstanding. Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer! *Side note that we recommend visiting Ride 4 a Woman, the women's center located very close. They have an incredible mission and a beautiful shop filled with handmade goods.

We had a wonderful time at Mahogany Springs Lodge! Everyone was so kind and professional and helpful! Most especially Fred at the front desk and Brenda in the dining room were exceptional--they both went above and beyond with personal touches to enhance our epic gorilla trekking adventure. The rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the entire staff was so gracious. Thank you Fred and Brenda and everyone else at Mahogany Springs!!! ❤️

If you're in buhoma, this should be your first choice of lodge. Well located not far from the gorillas? The rooms are quite the thing you dont expect in those parts of the world and the food is great.
