The audacity of this company’s policy to only supply its services to “white people only” IN AFRICA. Do not use. Extremely poor customer service and outdated services.

Thank you for a nice service and a good car in a competitive rental rate. No problems at pick up and collection time at my hotel. Everything stress-free and on time with a good communication (email and phone). A week driving on various roads plus a few police road checkpoints and no single problem with the car. Will use your service again.

I rented a car from self drive Uganda recently. A Rave 4x4 was brought to my residence. The gentlemen were so polite and professional. I used the car for several days at a good price compared to all other rental companies which wanted to ripe me off. It is the only company that l felt trusted you with the car . On the last day l couldn't drop the car to them as l was running but they were so understanding . I really recommend this company for the good customer service that was offered to me and l will use them again.

Whenever my family and I are in Uganda we rent our car from Self Drive in Uganda, the company is so reliable and their cars are always in good mechanical condition and professionally maintained for their clients. We have never been disappointed whether we are on a long safari up country or just on short city tours. Their cars always meet our expectations and theirs prices so far are the best compared to what others offer.

I was given a car that clearly had not been vetted or maintained, through a third party. The vehicle broke down. Luckily I have lived in UG and was able to sort myself out, but they tried to blame me for their car breaking down, stuck me with the mechanic bill, and offered no solutions to get me home. No accountability or refund was given. If you use this company you are taking a big gamble, and they are no cheaper than honest companies. Horrible service and will not return my calls - taking my money and running. At least don’t prepay and give yourself some insurance. You’ll likely need it.

We rented a Toyota Land Cruiser and Camping gears for a 15 days safari in Uganda. The pick up and drop off were both at the airport making it smooth with no extra charges and really friendly staff. I left my art and crafts saddles which i had bought on the safari in the car and on my return home, I received an email from them to say they had found them in the car and would post them out to me the same day. Fantastic service, best price in Uganda and they made our trip even better! Will definitely be using you again on our next visit.

We have rent a car with Uganda Self Drive. The communication was perfect so the organisation of our trip was a bit easier. As offered they brought the car to our accomodation in Entebbe (and took it back at the aeroport) for fee of 20 dollars each. But they were on time, they came up exactly at 9:00 am. The car was comfortable and perfect for local roads and national parks. The pop-up roof was a big plus which allowed us to enjoy every moment of the safari drive and take wonderful pictures. An advantage was also a big boot where we were able to put all our stuff - tent, backbacks and all stuff for camping. We were really satisfied with our choice and we can just recommend this agency.
