There is only one thing in our lives worth all attention; building one's self-esteem. You will never know how important it is or how bad it can affect your life before you need it. From the way you act, to dressing, to presenting yourself before people and so on. My own self-esteem was like in negatives, and I thought how does one get better? I have PCOS and it caused me to have a lot of hair on my body specifically my legs, this is in past tense because its no more. I couldn't let no body see so it was from jeans, to slacks, to denims and leggings, and if it is a dress or skirt it had to be to my toes, "don't let them see". Some people who knew this didn't see a problem with a bit of hairy legs for a woman, but as a person I knew how much this costed my esteem most times. I visited this website looked around, no particular evidence that this works, this is when I promised myself and Dr. Hema if it ever did work for me, I will tell a story here, guess now you know why am here, because it worked!!! Omg there is no greater feeling than I have now. That money is worth it, I am still going with the sessions because it is supposed to be a complete cycle but I already feel this is more than enough for results. By the way I came in with a target of just a bit less hair will be okay and I got 4× my target. I am writing this to encourage someone especially ladies out there with a problem and wondering how they should go about it, some of you have it worse than mine in places you can't hide like the chin and you keep shaving and damaging your skin only to hide it under layers of make-up, you know it has damaged your life in many ways especially your self-esteem, go talk to this nice lady, Dr. Hema, (thank you Doc) she is a mother, she makes it seem very okay and with love she will receive you. I cannot recommend this clinic enough. I went for a PRP for hormonal hair loss, and the results are phenomenal. To give you some added context: I have fine, Caucasian hair and reactive Caucasian skin. I had stopped taking birth control (Diane 35) and stopped Rogain (Minoxidil) in June 2022. I took both for the purpose of hair growth, but then decided I did not want to take pills for life, so I quit both, and a huge hair loss ensued. The Doctor was so sympathetic to my issue and very professional. She believes in holistic approaches, meaning that on top of the PRP, she will also discuss with you possible root causes so we may tackle those as well. She understood my wish to stick to natural alternatives, and immediately suggested all these herbal supplements and where to get them. I googled them all and she was absolutely on spot, which further shows how knowledgeable she is of alternative medicine. This procedure with micro-needling is not at all invasive, it’s virtually painless (if you follow the instructions closely, such as not drinking any alcohol 48 hours before the procedure, having a good breakfast, and being well hydrated). It’s not a sharp pain, more like a dull one. Like someone is scratching your scalp. I was recommended 3 sessions (which is the standard), each one month apart. My hair loss started drastically reducing after the 2nd session. I have now just come back from the 3d session, and the added volume and hair growth is very visible. Note that before the first procedure, I did have a glass of alcohol, and it made my scalp a bit more bleeding and the procedure a bit more painful. I was careful to follow her instructions for the 2nd session, and it was so painless that I was just on Instagram on my phone the whole time and I was close to falling asleep. So make sure you follow her instructions, she knows what she is talking about! The science she uses (the PRP technique with microneedling) is backed by an incredible amount of data, it is honestly one of the best solutions out there and it is 100% worth your money. The longer the wait, the more chances you have of your follicles dying out before they can be revived by PRP so if you have hair loss issues, go there NOW. Here are the complete steps: -When you arrive, a kind nurse will take your blood. He will then bring it to a lab that is right up the street to put it in a centrifuge. The blood will be spun around until the plasma is separated from the red stuff. He will then bring it back to the clinic. Don’t worry about the cold chain, plasma can stay in room-temperature environment for a long time so it’s no issue. -The doctor will then clean your scalp with alcohol and a cotton swab -She will microneedle your scalp (or the specific areas you want. I wanted to whole scalp). Then she will put droplets of the plasma on your scalp and spread it out. It feels very soothing and cool. And then she will micro needling again to make sure the plasma is absorbed well -For the last step she combed my hair with special comb (I cant remember if it was infrared or electro magnetic or something). You don’t feel it at all. I also googled it and it is very recommended. Things you need to do to prepare well: no alcohol for 48 hours, hydrate reaaally well for 24 hours before, eat really well. This is something I found online and I think it makes sense: the healthier you eat, the healthier your blood, and the more potent your plasma. After the procedure: your scalp may be a tiny bit sore (like of like if you had combed it too hard or if you had a little sunburn) but I only noticed it for a few hours and then it was gone. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment!
