Looks like a typical village roundabout πŸ˜… well, maybe because of the few buildings. But they have a lot of food at really good prices. A good place to shop groceries.

It's a busy remote working area with most businesses around it. (Business lyk: road side vendors, vegetable sells, local restaurants , and boda boda rides. And more. The place has alot of human and vehicle jam.

Definitely in Kampala different markets are popular for different items. So in Busega Round About you will find all the different species of fish from Lake Victoria. Smoked and Fresh are all there. You won't be disappointed.

Spacious and compared to city round abouts, this one is good. Police in place so it is secure. Traffic is sometimes jammed so be ready to spend a few minutes waiting. There are vendors around so if you're travelling far, you can restock here.

The busiest, traffic jam, since it serves 3 roads out of Kampala i.e masaka, mityana, nothern bypass. Note think UNRA needs to replan this busega junction coz the traffic jam is due to poor planning since the roads after the junction towards mityana, entering the express interchange to Entebbe kajansi are always empty but after you have crossed this busega junction, traffic is always blocked by cars moving to masaka road.

One of the most busy areas on Masaka road with a variety of businesses for both products and services. Shell busega brings to you the best quality fuel (both petrol and diesel) and the best quality gas to make your cooking experience. Vehicle and motorcycle repairs and wheel alignment . Vehicle and motorcycle washing services also available. There is a local market with everything you need for your day to day home shopping from groceries, fish , clothings and others. Dino track services and tractors also available There is also a masjid in the nearby to catch up your five daily prayers. There is a taxi parking and other transportation services. All the businesses compiled in one place.

That round about especially in the morning hours is a messed up road. It will be corked to an extent that one can easily take an hour before making a round. It caught me as I was driving to the airport but thank God that the person I was to pick had a delay and also I was early enough otherwise, never use that round especially when you are against time.

So much a congested roundabout by today 13/09/2023. It connects three major roads to the city center, i.e Masaka road, Mityana - Mubende Fort portal, and then the Northern bypass.

The roundabout is usually crowded as there is a lot of traffic jam usually because of the heavy traffic heading to Masaka. However there are plenty of shops around there for local supplies and groceries as well as a market.

During the grasshopper season in Uganda. This place is filled with hundreds of people sitting down on the ground, plucking wings and legs off the grasshoppers to prepare them for sale. Grasshoppers are a delicacy in Uganda. They are either fried in oil or roasted in a pan. They’re not cheap either. There are two seasons of grasshoppers annually. That is April - May and September - November. This place would interest a tourist visiting Kampala during the grasshopper season. It’s interesting to see and experience the mass plucking of wings and legs off grasshoppers! I also offer walking tours to this place in Kampala.

One of the areas where traffic flow is really slow. You'll find yourself drive 1 meter per 2 minutes. Again, if your are not careful, you could be stolen of your valuables especially when the window glasses are kept low. However, you could do business especially if you are going to Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale or Rwanda- by getting passengers to travel with you and they pay you some money. Caution should be taken, as some of the people you carry can turn out to be robbers. It's one of the biggest entry and exit points to and fro Kampala. It's along the 2 great Highways. 1. The Trans Africa Highway (Mombasa- Dakar) and 2. The Cairo - Natal Highway

  • 5/5 Brian A. 1 year ago on Google
No traffic jam and the place is convenient for shopping all of the essential goods

  • 2/5 Adriano Allan M. 1 year ago on Google
It's an extremely busy roundabout. So many boda bodas (motorcycles) who for the most part don't understand the rules of the road. I bet that'll explain why there's a police post just underneath the expressway. It's so crowded making it difficult for pedestrians to even cross the road. On the Eastern side towards Supreme wheat industry, the market is so filthy with fish stench "hoovering" all over. It's easy to find vehicles exiting to go to Entebbe and Kajjansi though if you want to avoid the long wait of sitting in a taxi park for passengers to fill a cab before taking you to your destination.

Busega roundabout is a busy place. Lots of things going on. The fish market....well, there's fish and its smell too. 🀣 But all is bearable with a mask. Public taxis: 6, 10 and 14 seaters, are available to transport people via the expressway so that saves a lot of time. All in all, good place to connect to different places.

Everything was fine, busy place where you fine people doing different businesses ie; market dues, street vending, taxi park which transport people to different routes. All in all when it comes to traffic jam at both morning andevening, u can't imagine. NB traffic officers are available all the time for guidance
