[sibeh holiao] 1) Overall - hawker stalls, plenty of local food selection, open air environment for Pusat Penjaja Kampar 2) Chee cheong fun was one of the best I have ever eaten so far, the noodle soaked in the signature curry sauce, it was silky smooth, it literally slipped through your throat. Best! highly recommended. 3) 糯米飯 glutinous rice was packed with great taste. the rice was cooked semi-hard and top with char siew and peanuts. If you are having there, you could opt for curry sauce, the combo was the best. However, if you are doing a takeaway, do remind them to separate the curry sauce for you.

Kampar Food Center offer wide variety of Chinese hawker stall in kampar. It operates from day to night with different hawker stores. This is what we tried so far: 12a char kuew tuew - not bad, its has strong fried flavor to it 36 chu cheong fun - not bad, the curry sauce is not bad and the noodle is soft n silky Prawn frittles - it smells good but a bit too hard Wanted to try the yu tiao but it was finished at 11am 🥲

Locals love to have breakfast at market food courts. Normally cheap and nice food. Quite a big food court with more stalls by the road side at the entrances. Dining area are located in between stalls. Crowded at 8am Sunday morning but we managed to find seats. Spoilt for choice here as everything looked good. Stall no. 32: Curry chee cheong fun (roll rice noodles with curry) with beancurd and fried pork rind. There were 2 choices of noodles...plain or with bits of spring onions rolled inside, I think. Soft and nice. The pork rind was well cooked in the curry. The Best! Curry not very thick but flavourful. No wonder a long queue. Stall no. 44: Traditional method of coffee making...strong and nice coffee. 1 cup was definitely not enough. Stall no. 42: The pulut (glutinous rice) with char siu and peanut toppings was unusual but nice. Can add curry sauce but diluted. Small portion though. The yam cake was okay but not the short flour noodles that was fried with long beans. Tasted weird and sourish. Maybe a hakka dish. Lovely pandan and gula melaka flavoured kuih kosui from stall no. 26B. Fried radish cake was very nice with all the right ingredients. The preserved radish is a must. Chinese pancake was too sweet but nice to eat once a while. Its those thick pancake with tons of sugar and grounded peanuts. Popular stall as long queue too. The Indian pancake was not crispy as it had been made earlier and stored in a container. It was a lovely 'buffet breakfast'. All the stall owners were polite and gave good service. There is a nice and well maintained washrooms across the food court. 30 cents per entrance.

This place is NOISY, CHAOTIC but FUN! If you are ever in the vicinity, it is an ideal visit with friends for a good old fashioned #STREETFOOD Hunt! They have really underrated good eats here, and most importantly cheap, and therefore made affordable to #INDULGE the palate. If you want to know what are the best eats here, just check out the stalls with the craziest longest lines. Pro Tip: Car pool here and once inside, find a vacant table. Then park your group here and take turns to go hunting for food! Just remember the number on a nearby pillar, some stall fellas will send it to you unerringly. if you did not opt to take it away yourself. Be warned there is some waiting time for the more popular stalls, but for good reason.

Curry chee cheong fun was delicious. Curry was smooth, not spicy and great compliment with yong tau fu. I liked its pork skin and pork ball which was wonderfully done. 4 stars Clear soup noodle with yong tau fu also so nice. In fact it's ingredients almost the same as Curry chee cheong fun. Just the soup base and noodle was different. 4 stars Cha siew glutinous rice was delicious. 3 stars Ham chim peng also nice to eat especially the one with tausar filling. 3 stars

Sorry to say nothing is good here. The famous ice blended? Omg. It costs us RM 14. I was shocked with their charges. I don’t mind paying extra for the taste but it wasn’t worth! Won’t be visiting this place anymore in future.

Many people during public holidays. Most of the sellers seems so angry because the business too good. Really cannot understand 😔. The most recommended are the kopi, teh panas and cham.

Came on Winter Solstice day. Some stalls closed. Did not get to try the "char kue teow" because needs to wait for 45 min. Taste is just average to me but for those who wanted to taste local Kampar food this would be a place.

You have to come here to experience Kampar and its delicious food. The food centre has been around for more than 20+ years and it’s a popular hangout for locals and tourists alike. Must try foods are the chee cheong fun, loh mai kai, fishball noddles and char kuay teow. For drinks stall I recommend visiting stall no.28, they serve the best ice coffee & tea Kampar has to offer. Don’t forget to get Sat Kei Ma - the Kam Wai brand is the best in Kampar and also try the Chicken biscuits from Jin Man Tang trading.

The food serve here are average, it has been better days before. During weekend, there is even worse. The reason to serve as much as possible customers. I think this place is overated by day time tourists. Kampar has more places that really serve nice food.

The cheecheongfun and popiah were so delicious! I definitely will visit later for the fried prawn cracker and the char siew glutinous rice too🤤 Actually the char siew glutinous rice impressed me a lot as it after taste are strong, you should enjoy it slowly 😌 The charkueyteow not really my cup of tea but it’s worthy to try for your first visit, so do the huge Iceberg Ipoh White Coffee. (maybe I’ve high expectations before going, no offence and planning to try the dragonfruit flavour for my next visit 😆)

A place you’ll find real kampar hawker food including some really “old school” and sometimes cranky uncle aunty stall operators. Foods good and prices cheap!

Other than breakfast its also popular for dinner/supper.. Food like char kuey teow, loh mai fan, noodle soup, assorted stir fry rice and noodles, drink stalls are opened. Very nice chinese traditional kueh also, but sells out fast

  • 4/5 Edmund L. 2 years ago on Google
Big and busy market place food court selling all the usual food .... noodles , kuih , drinks etc. The fried radish cake was a standout . The nyonya kuih was also very decent. Popiah was well filled and nice fresh flavour . The lai fun noodles was unusual because they added fresh mint leaves to the broth as garnish. Stall #25 for drinks ... coffee was excellent ... fragrant , slightly smoky and betul betul kaw even with ice . They are also apparently famous for their ice blended concoctions , although I have yet to try .
