I know it is budget hotel, but still it is bad even with low expectation. I'm not local and I wasn't aware there is a ( Kampar Sentral ) behind the hotel name, so I going to the wrong Kampar Boutique Hotel ( Beside Cinema ) first, luckily is not too far, just not sure why they have to make the name so confusing. Just look at the photo I uploaded, mold, black stain, no need much explanation. The ventilation system is complete failure, the moment you step out the lift, the whole level is smell of cigarettes smoke, told the staff he said he can't smell it. Toilet still have abit urine smell lingering, and after you flushed the toilet, expect loud weird paip sound on and off for 10-15 minutes. Room size is actually reasonable, bigger than my expectation, wifi, Tv, and water heater fine. Staff is very polite and patient to response to my complain, but they can't really solve the problem. Another thing is if you are pantang, the location is actually quite near the cemetery. Price and location is the positive thing, only cost RM60 for single bed room, and it is near the main road with quite a lot of parking.

Have a pleasant experience during stay in this hotel, good & professional front desk in managing booking as per request as I book 2 room. She keep my request & can check in early if the room is already ready. Good location. Wifi is good in the room. Not expect too much as it is worth as you paid.

Clean room with good facilities. Coffee Tea not provided but there are mugs and jug kettle. Difficult to find place to eat for breakfast nearby (walking distance) unless you drive. Water pressure is good but quite noisy. Need to buy parking ticket just in case the city council officer check.

Stayed here on 3rd March & again on 5th March. Very convenient to main road, peace full area. The rooms are not sound proof can hear noises from outside the room. Room internally is clean, air con is cold, iron board is sharing, no hot beverages only 2 mineral drink bottle, soap and shampoo bottle not adequate for 2 person staying(too small) and not soapy. There is no hotel parking around only public parking. Overall hotel ok for budget.

Their front desk service was very bad The room had a very strong smell of smoke Asked to change the room but they refused. Just got a staff to spray air freshener But the smell was still very strong and I am an asthmatic so I still couldn't compromise on such treatment. Afterwards, I talked to a Chinese woman(wearing a spec) at the front desk and asked to change the room again. She was very arrogant, not only did she not admit that she had an attitude problem, but after agreeing to change the room for us, she also refuted our bad attitude towards her. Excuse me? We wanted her to go upstairs and smell how strong the room was, but she said we didn't treat her like a human being, she felt she was being humiliated(like a dog,she said). "You can go to our room and smell it... it smells really bad." That's what we said. But she felt insulted. I'd say if your understanding is that low and your psyche that fragile, you're not fit to survive in the service industry. Eventually even after coming to our room to take us to a new one, she had to complain about us treating her badly ๐Ÿ™‚ You can imagine how outrageous this Chinese women receptionist was I think she still remembers the incident.

I donโ€™t recommend to stay here, this place is very dark, and a bit smelly. I donโ€™t think they clean the cups. Just need to be aware of that. Instead you can try old town that sideโ€™s hotel, all the way better. The price is almost the same.
