Strategic location, very near to Kampar Pasar Hawker Center, only 2 minutes drive, same road with two famous clay pot chicken rice, and is next to Pizza Hut and opposite road there is one famous shop selling curry chicken bun, which is within walking distance. Overall the hotel is clean and nice. Even the hotel is beside the main road but is surprisingly quite as no heavy traffic at night. There is one cake shop too, just opposite the hotel front door.

Kampar is a relatively small town. We were passing through for the first time and chose to put up for a night at the Vista Hotel. There was plenty of street side parking surrounding the hotel as we drove up late in the afternoon. I noticed there's a huge food center and an even bigger wet market nearby. That's got to be worth a visit to check out authentic local food and people watch. But if you're lazy, there's pizza hut and KFC across the street. The hotel lobby was very clean and tidy. The kind gentleman at reception was courteous. Already my impression of this hotel is positive. However, the corridor leading to our room smelled musty though. We saw the dismantled remnants of a corridor A/C unit outside our room door. So that explains that. The room is of course spacious. As for the design, I suppose simple is an appropriate description, or functional as some might say. Then again, for the nightly costs paid, I didn't mind because the hotel has taken care of the real important bits (cleanliness, nice shower, etc). My wife and I were pleased with the bed, though we were not so pleased with the flimsy pillow. The Aircon worked, and the shower water pressure was strong. Wifey felt the hot water was a bit inconsistent, but it felt fine when it was my turn. We come to these parts on a regular annual basis and have stayed in a few states and hotels. Wife has a preference for small towns so she doesn't mind returning to Kampar next year and staying at Vista again. That goes for me too.

I had an emergency work trip to Kampar and booked the Vista Hotel as the reviews were pretty good. The check-in was seamless and the rooms were equipped with basic necessities. The bathroom had a sewerage smell in the middle of the night, but that was probably a rare occurrence. Service by the manager itself was great but there was a small issue with the receptionists. I had left behind my laundry by accident and only realised once I was back home. I called the hotel, they notified me that they had found it and kept it. I ensured them that I would collect it on my next trip up north. When I eventually got to picking it up, I called in advance and they told me that my laundry bag was no longer there and it had been disposed. They asked me to send my booking conformation and details to verify that I did leave my laundry bag. It took 2 hours for them to confirm (even after they insisted they didn't have it) that they did have it. When I reached the hotel, I greeted the two ladies at the check-in desk. No one said a word to me. One of them took the bag from the floor, chucked it on the desk and continued talking to each other. I said thank you and left. If not for the receptionists, I would definitely rate their service 5 stars.

i think for the room provided (king superior) and the price is a bit overate. nothg much in the room, big bed wit only 2 pillows - need to ask for additional and only get one. otherwise, everything is good. the location, the services and all.

Extremely terrible！The worst hotel I have ever been , no chair after we checked in , my husband was requested a chair around 11:30 pm and the staff delivered it after an hour , I think it’s common sense 12:40am is bed time for most of people , especially after a long journey I fell asleep , but the hotel staff kept knocking the door many times and even yelled wake us up to collect the chair , I have never met such a awful person , she doing things without thinking , none of basic literacy. Extremely terrible !!!!!

Decent hotel. Simple and basic furnishing which is nice. Very clean room. Basic amenities i.e. bottled water, hair dryer, kettle, body soap, shampoo, toothbrush and shower cap. Public iron is located at walkway. Hotel doesn't have private parking so it's coupon roadside parking, can use park@perak app. With the price I paid, I'd say it's really bang for your buck! Definitely a recommended hotel in Kampar.

Decent hotel. Family room is spacious with 2 queen beds and street view. There's a lot of eateries nearby. Pizza hut, 24 hours mamak restaurant, bakers cottage, 99speedmart are just few steps from the hotel. Parking is easy to find, although there's no private parking for guests.

Good place just to stay. Cleanliness can be improved. Wifi is weak. The front desk lady not polite enough.

The hotel located strategically in the city center. Close to all the food area, and there's convinient store and fast food shop too. The room is really clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Although it's facing the main road, there's no noise at night since it's a quiet town. Recommend for solo or couple traveller. The WiFi works well too, watched Netflix on my laptop and the line is smooth.

Decent hotel in this small town. Walking distance to all the eateries in Kampar Old Town.

The rooms we had was good other than my wife say very bad musty smells in the corridor on the floor we’re on and inside our room. The customer service was great and the bonus was the location. It was close to everything. Highly recommended

Interior is new, disposable toiletries available, linen is clean, bed is comfy, price is reasonable. Staff is friendly. Located in the center and near to the food court, just 3 mins walk with many many choices of food for breakfast or brunch!

The rooms are clean. But the toilet door lock system wrong...if accidentally locked the door form inside, must use key to open from outside (should install 'toilet cylinder lock' or keyless type). Had to call receptionist to unlock the toilet door. Few times up & down for keys. No guests car park but the hotel should at least place parking tickets for guests (at least for 2 hours) for guest vehicles if parked at public parking lots. They took guests vehicle numbers but never follow up for parking tickets to be placed in morning. Only answer handover shift never notified counter. No manager/supervisor on duty to explain too Left Kampar paying parking compound RM10/= instead of Rm0.60 Elsewhere I go, the hotel place parking tickets fir guests if hotel doesn't have hotel parking lots.

It's worth the price. Best of all, it's still new. Could do better with more TV channels. Also, the air vents for the washroom door is fitted the wrong way; some things they could have done better.

I walked in at 3.30pm, asked the counter and an uncle confirmed room available but not cleaned yet, and don't know when will it be cleaned. So I reconfirmed with him then it is available but not stayable? He needs to learn some hospitality. Ended I walked to another hotel with more welcoming staff.

Arrived at midnight on 24th March during bicycle touring and extremely surprise by the excellent staff hospitality towards us! The rooms is really comfortable, clean, minimalist and well organised. Smooth check in and check out. It’s perhaps a 2 star hotel but with 6 star comfort level! Definitely will come again!

Minimalist concept hotel and bed is comfortable. Conveniently located and lots of restaurants around the area - 4 chicken claypot rice restaurants, vegetarian restaurant, curry chicken bun and a few bakery as well. Pizza hut and 99 speedmart is less than 5 minutes walk away. Definitely will choose this hotel again for future trip!

Hotel is new and the room is clean. Good location, 5mins walking distance to morning market and alot of restaurant nearby. However, very bad soundproof. Can easily listen if someone walking at corridor, door closing and toilet water flushing.

Stayed on 18/6/2022 using Agoda for Standard King Room stated at Agoda can optionally with 1 king bed + 1 single bed. I wrote in note to have that kind of bed. Unfortunately when arrived and enter the room only 1 king bed available. The reception said “oh that is Agoda but this hotel doesn’t have like that”. Then how did your hotel listed in Agoda with that kind of bed setting? Really upset with this kind of joke
