THOSE PEOPLE WHO STILL DIDN'T TRY DADA BOUDI'S BIRIYANI, REVIEW IS ACTUALLY FOR THEM REST OF THE PEOPLE CAN IGNORE THIS ONE. THANKS I think you all know what to expect from Dada boudi biriyani so i will not bother you with my long review, instead will share my feelings with the help of some short points I bought 1 plate special mutton biriyani 1 plate chicken biryani 1 plate chicken kosha First this is not the new place restaurant we are taking about here the old one takeaway centre, reason no 1 i gave 3 star because the smell of drain and all together unhygienic environment is the Big No for me in any case and if it is for Food then I am sorry I will not try again. Now coming to the food in special mutton biriyani 510rs price yes rice was enough for two people i got 4 pc of 60-70gms of mutton Mutton was tender enough, biriyani was juicy you don't need anything to eat with it, but if you like Arsalan Biriyani then you may not like this taste because it is completely different that that. In case of chicken biriyani i felt chicken oc was little small i was expecting a big 130 gm above pc considering the price and rice, rice was moderate for people who loves to eat. Chicken kosha 180 ra i guess 10 pc boneless, I WILL NOT recommend this dish at all to anyone Reason? Multiple 1 pieces was so so small like maximum 30 gms 2 taste is awful extra salt extra greem chilie It will create chest burn, and if you want it to have with Roti then forget about it, it can only go ok with Hard drinks. And lastly the smell of biriyani is not there from the very beginning which is another let down for me. But very soon i will visit there restaurant and taste and wanted to try D Bapi as well. Till then stay safe eat healthy. Will come with another review of another place very soon. And yes i am attaching the photos as well. Tata.

Warning : Interestingly we drove all the way from Salt Lake to Barrackpour to have lunch on the 1st Jan 22 and we after lunch took two parcels for take away - one Mutton and one chicken Biryani each full plate - It’s absolutely PATHETIC TO MENTION that both did not have ANY MUTTON OR CHICKEN pieces in the take away packets, it was just the rice and which we found out once we reached home at Salt Lake! We tried calling the numbers and both the numbers were out of service so we could not even complain ! However, The Mutton Biryani was excellent for dine in and we enjoyed the food while we were there inspite of the pathetic setting arrangements and hygienic conditions ! Please be VERY CAREFUL and do chk before leaving the restaurant when you take away or order in - the mutton or chicken pieces might be missing ! Shaibal Ghosh - Salt Lake - Kolkata

Barrackpore is famous for many a thing, Dada-Boudi is one if those. Very few people are there who don’t love the dada-boudi special biriyani. It is famous for the taste as well as the quality & quantity. You are going to love the size of the piece of mutton & the softness of the mutton & potato is just another level. The juicy mutton just gets separated from the bone so easily & the potato feels just like butter. The biriyani is served with complementary salad & green chutney. We visited the hotel & tried the mutton biriyani along with the chicken chaap- You can guess how amazing the taste will be of this combo, right? The current price of Mutton Biriyani is ₹270/- & Chicken Chaap is ₹115/- Hope they keep maintaining the quality & quantity like this, so that people can enjoy the authentic biriyani.

I was in the line up for 2 and half hours. But after such a situation, when we entered the place, it was really an amazing experience. Everything was value for money. It was the best fish fry i have ever had. Beside this mutton biriyani was as good as before.

Dada boudi is famous for biryani, but the new rooftop makes it one of the most pocket friendly and tastiest rooftop restaurants in my opinion. Absolutely loved this new settings, with cozy atmosphere and soothing decorations, it was a lovely experience overall. And along with that the legendary biryani. Accompanying drinks were also good, but seems a bit costly to us. There is also a AC dining in rooftop which can be reserved for partys, birthdays etc. Only drawback is you may have to wait in a queue, because it's quite a popular nowadays.

Very nice restaurant. It is famous for it's BIRYANI in all over kolkata. It looks simple from outside and inside as well (talking about the old restaurant beside barrackpore railway station). But it's food quality is awesome. It's biryani is very delicious. Their serving process is also good and Hiegenic. They serve the biryani in plate which is covered with banana leaf, so their is no contact of other people in the plate. Price of chicken biryani is 210₹ per plate and mutton biryani is 300₹ per plate. They serve you salad 🥗 as well along with biryani. It is best for family and for friends as well. There is only one problem, that there, you have to be in a long Que (line), when your turn come, then you get the chance to eat biryani. Overall very good experience in the restaurant. If you visit kolkata Or if you are in kolkata, then you must visit this place once... 😊😊😊

Known for its delicious biryani, Dada Boudi Biryani is a well renowned place in the Biryani map of the state. Located near to Barrackpore Railway station, the Biryani place is hard to miss . Mutton Biryani (Rs. 360/-) Tender piece of mutton accompanied with flavourful rice and aloo , make this biryani droolworthy. Badshahi Murg ( Rs. 360/-) Tasted more like Achari Chicken, Badshahi Mugh will go well with naan or roti. A place to satisfy your tastebuds like never before. 📍P.S - Basement parking is available for two wheeler for a charge of Rs. 15/-

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Dada boudi. Excellent food. Menu is extensive and to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it. I have been loving every bite of the mutton and every bite of the biryani. Worth of the fame it has. If you are following my review, keep in mind that I've been an ardent follower of this restaurant since the last 8 years.

Very famous for Biriyani at Barrackpore, next to the rail station, they have 2 restaurants, one at ground floor without AC and another after couple of shops inside a building, at 2nd (kitchen) and 3rd floor (sitting area). Other menu items are also tasty. Problem is with car parking in the area and the road is busy one.

Famous for its Mutton Biriyani. Large luscious tender mutton having perfect ratio of fat to meat, flavourful rice, mouth melting potato…just awesome. Diamond fish fry was also very tasty with fresh Bhetki fish fillet. The ambiance and services are also very good.

Biryani was really good and the quantity and piece of meat was quite huge, we tried out their fish also the forgot the name ,on their chinese menu ,it was strips of fish in batter, fried and tossed in a tangy and sweet sauce , tasted good . Do try out their Firni also.

The place is very popular with Biryani lovers, who visit Barrackpore. It's a typically railway station eatery ambience, though the Biryani is good and pocket friendly provided you ignore the hygiene and jostling for space and sharing tables with other diners real close! The establishment is doing roaring buisness as they have opened a separate exclusive take away counter and a much better dine in restaurant across the round-about from the original small roadside eatery next to the railway station. There's a real challenge for parking,so that leaves only public transportation options to go there. A new multi storied building with basement parking is under construction behind the existing eatery and hopefully patrons can enjoy their Biryani in better ambience soon.

We ordered reshmi kebab, mutton biriani, phirni. At first I was liking the biriani, the mutton was well cooked, but letter the rice was so salty that it was not even edible. The biriani didn't touch my soul. The kebab was good but the phirni was ok.

Debatable, but from my pov The best Biryani in and around Kolkata.. The little old tin shade shop of Dada Boudi Hotel is being converted into a multi-storied multi cuisine restaurant specializing in Biryani, arguably providing the best mutton portion among others. Price is 20/- more if you eat in but that will include the GST. Overall a must try.. 👍👍

I had their Mutton Biryani before and I loved it, but this time the taste has changed to some kind of masala rice with a big a mutton piece, and thats it. The dine-in experience is not good at all,the staff were very adamant and they have a tendency to make people get up from their seats as soon as they are done with eating. Waiters and the main person who was managing the seating arrangements are very rude. Service-0/10 Food taste-3/10 Price-5/10

We two person who traveling through Barrackpore, went to resturant for tiffin ! We're half hungry, so, they gave us seat without any wastage of time! I mean no waiting-line indeed! 1. Behaviour: So, as we intended to eat chicken biriyani, which they can not deliver by that time as they got huge order to parcel chicken biriyani to someone/some companies as dinner! So, they offered us mutton Biryani ! We accepted and ordered one package of such , and they properly cater us in two plates with extra mutton piece! They got good communication with customers. 2. Quality: "A" class test by that night. Biriyani was too good! Great aroma ! One star down because I love a little gravy style biriyani , I asked for such, but it was little dry by my opinion. Salads ware rich, no bad comments. They add coriander chutney at salad plate. Mutton pieces were good and delicious. 3. Payment: They accept online transaction and cash both. At end they give proper respect and response! 4. Cleanliness: The resturant is small and open but with good hygiene. Basin area is also clean and got hand soap gel besides. 5. Privacy: no privacy were there for customers.

One of the best biriyani I ever had and the best Mutton biryani I ever had. The price is a bit costly but the amount of rice, salad and the size of mutton that you get is justified. The pice was so soft..

Well dada boudi hotel is really worth the hype it's biryani's are absolutely heavenly but am not giving it a 5 star because there are more competitors had came in the market and they are providing the same flavor with 50%less cost. But talking about cost the price which you gonna pay for the biryani is really worth it from the prospectus of quality and quantity.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the mutton biryani at Dada Boudi Hotel in Barrackpore, and I must say, it was an absolutely divine experience. This iconic establishment is renowned for its exceptional biryani, and their mutton biryani certainly lives up to the hype. As soon as I entered the restaurant, the tantalizing aroma of spices instantly transported me to a world of culinary bliss. The mutton biryani arrived at my table in all its glory, beautifully presented and beckoning me with its vibrant colors and enticing fragrance. The rice, cooked to perfection, boasted long, separate grains that were tender and aromatic. Every mouthful was a symphony of flavors, with the spices delicately balanced to create a tantalizing blend that complemented the succulent pieces of mutton. The meat was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection and infused with the rich flavors of the spices. Each bite was a burst of exquisite taste, leaving me craving for more. The biryani was not overly spicy, allowing the flavors of the meat and spices to shine through. It was evident that great care had been taken in the preparation of each ingredient, resulting in a harmonious and well-rounded flavor profile. The mutton biryani at Dada Boudi Hotel struck the perfect balance between indulgence and authenticity. The generous portion size was noteworthy, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied. The biryani was served with a side of flavorful raita and a delectable salan, enhancing the overall dining experience. The service at Dada Boudi Hotel was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and passionate about their food. They were more than willing to answer any questions and provide recommendations. The restaurant itself exuded a welcoming atmosphere, with clean and comfortable seating arrangements. In conclusion, Dada Boudi Hotel in Barrackpore has truly mastered the art of crafting a remarkable mutton biryani. With its authentic flavors, generous portions, and top-notch service, it is undoubtedly a destination for biryani lovers seeking an unforgettable gastronomic adventure.

We all heard a lot about 'Dada Boudi Biriyani ' which is located in barrackpore. Many years ago I tried their biriyani ,it's actual as my expectations , but after few years, yesterday I went there and ordered Biriyani which is really I didn't like. It wasn't too bad, it's overall, not upto the mark, somehow there was missing the flavour , the taste . Really disheartened for the Biriyani for which the restaurant is known for. It's true, there was much crowded but it doesn't mean that the taste may be changed, they should maintain it. Besides,I tried there all signature dishes that was just wow, haven't any complain. But I have a question why they would not mention 'Biriyani' as there signature dish. Whatever The ambience was stunning, well maintained, need and clean, very warm behaviour, ofcourse you are very much pleased with the way they treat their each customer But you have to wait whenever you go... Recommended Dishes- Original Vetki Diamond Fish Fry Golden Fried prawns 💯 Chicken chap Mutton Bhuna Ghost Kashmiri Naan Chicken Tandoori

The famous Dada Boudi Hotel, near barrackpore station. Two outlets are there one is AC and one is non-ac. The quality and quantity of biryani is absolutely awesome. You can also try their kabab platters. First come first serve. No bookings are available through phone. Only the rooftop part can be booked for special occasions. Overall an awesome experience with friends and families.❤️

The food taste is good one of the best biryani in Kolkata. It is in front of the barrackpore station. The place is too much crowded you must wait one hour in queue for entering this hotel. There is no four wheeler parking facility available to park the vehicle near by the restaurant. Suggested to visit the outlet with two wheeler only. The food is value for money but standing in queue will irritate, visit if you have time and patience only.

Great ambience & staffs are very helpful. But taste of the foods are not anything like super tasty or unique, they were avg. I'm disappointed especially with the biryani that the restaurant is famous for. I don't know whether it's because they want to maintain the hygiene or not but I personally expected it to be a bit more masaledaar. And finally I would like them to do something about the huge line that we have to face before entering the restaurant, we waited like 1 hr just to enter the restaurant. Pls make a vip line as well or something like online booking system.

Best Biryani in West Bengal 😋 Just the taste of Rice, Alu and Chicken would melt in your mouth, after having one plate you might crave for some more 👌 Excellent staffs all around, very fresh chutneys are served to each, variety of mocktails are also available, abundance space for dining a crowd is available 😯 One might get ashtonish after entering inside as the decor, ambience is very nice 🙂 For a Biryani lover one must come here for sure ❤️ biryani is very subtle (all fresh ingredients are used). Walking distance from the station 🚶 Chicken Biryani - ₹270 (1 Alu, 1 chicken)

As usual the quality of the biriyani lives upto its reputation. Since the place around the shop is going through some construction work, try the takeaway its better. But if you want to sit down here and have some succulent biriyani you are more than welcome to try. 1. Quality and Quantity as usual very best. 2. Cleanliness and hygiene is also maintained at high standards during this Pandemic scenario. 3. Price reasonable and affordable in terms of quantity of biriyani provided. 1 normal Chicken biriyani has good amount of rice, a big piece of beloved aloo and a huge piece of chicken. Just to let you know there may be other dada boudi outlets as well. But do consult a local on their authenticity.

The chicken pieces and mutton pieces were big in size. The biryani had flavours. It isn't my favourite biryani but I won't say it's overhyped, the taste was good. We ordered vetki fish fry as well which was not at all worthy so i guess better stick to biryani. Oh yes, the service is bit slow and customer has to initiate more than required.

The place is too good for what they serve the best : Biriyani. You’ll get other cuisines too, but North Indian is their forte. I would especially like to mention their hospitality and service. The food is fabulous. Overall a great experience. The only thing they can improve is to reserve a parking space for their customers, which is really needed and lacks at the same time.

People don't exaggerate when they say the biriyani here is the best. Dada Boudi's biriyani has a trademark and distinctive taste which makes it superior to its peers. The mutton biriyani here is one of the best I have ever tasted and this is one of the very few restaurants where it's reputation is rightly earned. The mutton here is really well cooked and the quantity is good enough for an average male. The kebabs are very good too and the firni available here is also really good. Highly recommended.

Honest review for Biriyani lovers!! I have seen the transformation of this hotel to restaurant! People are not hyping this place, this place really serves one of the best kolkata biriyani! The Queue was long and it was managed efficiently but different floors have different facilities and complimentary items, which are not displayed outside. It would have been much better, if the differences were displayed about service transparency. The food, Ambience is good but the quality has fallen down (comparing from its Origin days) but still good. A good place to Eat and hangout with all, Friends, Colleagues and Family.

This place requires no introduction. One of the sensational places that serves Biriyani, while keeping up the quality. Visiting on a Saturday night, you can see the queue extending to the road outside, but the management was experienced. Within 15mins, our group of five was called in. This is the renovated 'Adi Dada Boudi Hotel', and once you walk in, you are transported to a different world, far from the bustling crowd outside. The place has a policy where you will have to share your table if there is a vacant seat. Our group of five was seated on a table for four, which has ample space, but we were given a plastic chair, which was seated low. Even after requesting we didn't get the proper chair. We ordered the Crispy Chicken. The taste was as good as a Chinese joint in Tangra. Quantity was a bit less so we ordered a second plate. Our vegetarian friend ordered a masala Kulcha and Kadhai Paneer. It took some time, but was served hot and tasted great. Now coming to the main dish, the biriyani was excellent. We got the type of mutton pieces we requested. Their biriyani comes with aloo but no egg. Additionally, the salad served with some green pudina chutney tastes excellent. Although, I must say the rice this time felt a bit bland from my previous two visits. Overall, it's a must visit for someone who hasn't been to Dada Boudi.

We visited this place in a week day and it was still moderately crowded. We ordered 2 plate mutton biriyani. Each plate costs ₹300. The taste is obviously very good. Mutton was tender and soft , potato is well cooked and masala flavour infused in both mutton and potato piece. Rice was evenly spreaded with spices. It was accompanied with salad with green chutney. But it could have been much more in the quantity part. It is quite low quantity with compared to the price amount. Overall experience is good.

We have visited the old non ac restaurant of dada boudi. I ordered their legendary Biryani (Chicken) with Mutton Bhuna. I was experiencing their biryani for the first time. The biryani was fantastically, heavenly tasty. The rice were perfectly cooked. The mutton was really tender and soft. Forget about Arsalan and Aminia Biryani. Dada Boudi Biryani is always the showstopper.

A famous restaurant, Kolkata style biryani with soft single piece potato & a big chunk of mutton, obviously this is a very nice place to be, however the original restaurant is overcrowded, you usually have to share seats in summers its difficult. Plus, yes taste is very good but whether you should travel to Barrackpore from Kolkata depends upon individual. They are making a new mall beyond their shop, hopefully it will become the mecca of Biryani after a new Infrastructure is established.
