Horrible experience.. Worst overhyped 3rdclass restaurant i have ever seen 🤬🤬 First thing first, we standing on a queue for over 1hour to get a table, then again 1 hour to get our order. In whole so called restaurant has only 2 staffs to serve customers. Secondly They charges 290 rupees for a single plate mutton biriyani. But giving in a very small plate wich is probably used to serve sandwich or burger in other places, how can a person eat biriyani with this small plate god knows. If you take want to parcel of your remaining food. They have percel system,just paid them 10rs for a 6rs container. But if you said them toh percel they refuse and say we cant , you have to percel your food by yours. The taste of biriyani was not so bad but not so good as the price, mutton i got was fully fat hardly 20-30 gm off meat. The chicken piece was not even proper cooked. They have no air conditioner, no proper table, no good seating arrangements, no good management system, no good staffs, no plates. When we are eating they cleaning the floor with very strong bad smelling floor cleaning spray, wich you dont even smell when you are eating. Worst thng is me and my 2other friends feeling very seek after half an hour. Belive me I'm a foody i was never being seek after eating such kind of food. 🙏🙏 Its my request to everyone to please dont go there if you don't waste your valuable money , time and don't want to affected by food poisoning. 🙏🙏 Very unhygienic food ✌✌

D Bapi Biriyani is one of the best of Barrackpore biriyani. This store is located near wireless more of Barrackpore. We had special mutton biriyani, the taste of biriyani is undoubtedly the typical barrackpore style biriyani and it tasted good! The mutton and potato pieces were juicy. The chatni and salad with the biriyani was very tasty. Definately a good visit!

Visited and ordered their famous mutton biriyani and chicken chaap. Costed me 400/- (Mutton biriyani : 270/- and chicken chaap 130/-) The portion was mamoth and the mutton piece was huge and tender. Fall off the bones to be honest. And they also provide extra rice and salad absolutely free of cost. Taste was very good. The quality was really fine. Applies for both the dishes. Don't pay heed to the rumors, this place is great. Highly recommended.

One of the best biriyanis with a heartful piece of mutton, not a 5 star coz the rice was dry and compared to dada boudi who is their prime competitor i have to give them 4 stars. Stand out was their mutton piece, cooked perfectly and huge in weight and size. Overall a very good biriyani but for me dada boudi is the winner.

Great Experience Love the quality and Quantity of biriyani.. stuffs behaviour was really Polite. They even asked everyone of us what kind of mutton Pieces we want..one of my friend don't like the piece so they change it immediately..In a busy day like 1st january it's really appreciating.

We have no doubt that D Bapi is one of greatest biriyani shop in Kolkata. Yesterday we went to their New Branch at Madyamgram . The best thing about D Bapi Biriyani is the Food quality is Awesome and they maintained the same quality and Quantity in their new branch . I am really impressed with their hospitality and Service. Waiting time is too long... Seating capacity not good.. also after seat we have get our food after 45 mins.... Total we have waited for 2 hrs.... But food quality is really good... Awesome mutton pieces...

We ordered to Try Chicken Biryani here for 7 plates.Free green chatni was served with salad.. The quality and quantity was great.. Service was good.. 🔆Biryani 5/5 🔆Rice ,Alu & Green chatni quantity and with fragrance 4/5 🔆Chicken Piece 4/5 🔆Atmosphere 4/5 🔆And there is unlimited alu 🥔 and and rice 🍚 5/5 But the main food quantity is too much that you do not have to order extra rice and alu 🤣😂 because there will be no space left in your stomach .. 📍If we try to compare with so called famous Dada Boudi Hotel or resturant 😂😂 there is no such comparison in biryani 😂😂 there is no fragrance not even the taste was found in rice and mutton pieces in that restaurant, details review was given in that restaurant reviews part🤣😂 lol 🔶Now for biryani the barrackpore means D bapi Biryani only ... My best Biryani till date. Far far better than Dada Boudi. A special Biryani is more than enough to suppress the hunger of a normal person. I had Mutton Biryani, Chicken Chap and Liver Curry. But I would say, except Biryani the other dishes are average. But the the Biryani was best. And I am saying this Biryani is best after tasting Briyani's from Aminia, Arsalan, Oudh, Kabuliwala, Karim's, Royal, Shiraz, etc. Hence, you can trust me. The outlet is small but neat and clean. the staffs were friendly. And the best part was there was no waiting queue for dine in like Dada Boudi.

This place gained immense publicity both positive and negative in social media and foodies circle .Though not a very authentic and fine quality of biriyani , their fake is the size of mutton(or even chicken ) . Menu is limited to biriyani (mutton/chicken/aloo) and few preparation of mutton/chicken/liver curry . I did not find the biriyani very high quality , and also the hygiene factor is little low . But definitely for those like to enjoy a big piece of meat will like the place .If you have the biriyani sitting in the dining hall , complimentary rice and potatoes are provided on request,that is also a plus point .

Best biriyani in West Bengal ,India, everybody should try at onece in his lifetime .basically i'm from proper kolkata,i hv so many best known renouned biriyani option ,but i truly said without any hesitation the D BAPI biriyani is bestest biriyani in west bengal .the owner(uncle & aunty) is very much down to earth ,and the staff is very polite.i raised a staff name KRISHNA ,he has so much patience,humble ,good manners to handling customers. Without any hesitation ,please must visit and try their delicacy, otherwise u will be regreat . Thanks me later.

Finally after a long wait today got a chance to visit this place and taste their biryani. We ordered Mutton Biryani, Chicken Biryani and Chicken Chaap. They also serve salad with Pudina Chutney. The mutton piece is huge and very good quality. The chaap could be much tastier.

Another destination for biriyani lover after Dada Boudi in Barrakpore is D Bapi. Love the biriyani. We also ordered chicken chap and mutton liver which were also good. Over all highly recommended place .

Here I'm attaching the photo of the piece of mutton I got in special mutton biriyani. Yesterday I ordered one plate special mutton biriyani via swiggy . One of the pieces was like this and the other piece was 60%fat and rest meat. I have doubt whether it is original mutton!!!!! At such a costly amount they are giving us only fat and no meat !!! Quality of the rice is also so poor!!!

This is a really good place if you are a biryani lover. The amount of rice is more than sufficient for one person. Plus, the size of the chicken/mutton is also good. Really tasty. Salad is also provided. Plus the side dishes (eg- chicken chap, etc) is worth trying.

So their Biryani was good enough to beat other restaurants but the hype of this place is not so real. This is an above average biryani house but surely not the best one. The pieces in biryani or chaap are of good size. And the rice tasted well.

Tried their Mutton Biryani and Chicken Chaap. Mutton Biryani was good in taste and the quantity was also more than sufficient for one person. Same goes for the chicken chaap.

D Bapi Biriyani is the number one biryani center in terms of mutton size, they have two outlets, one Barrackpore and the other at Madhyamgram.Please, please, please do not expect any fancy outlet or seating arrangement here. but what you can expect is some honest value-for-money biryani with huge pieces (i don’t know frankly how they manage the pricing in that) and freshly prepared stuff.but the biriyani was great means perfect i felt it's better than dada boudi and the portion wise it's more than han enough..

It was a decent experience when we visited D Bapi for the first time, the food was good for quality and also in quantity. However if we compare it with Dada boudi biryani then the taste for D bapi biryani is 8/10 while dada boudi biryani would be 10/10. The amount of rice given is enough for a person also the mutton or chicken pieces are big enough in size and good in taste. You can seat and eat or can take away the food by standing in a queue. First payment has to be made then only you get your food. The place is quite small for a famous shop like d bapi. Go and try once.

Actually the place is a bit far from proper barrackpore so naturally the crowd is fewer compared to dada boudi. However because of that u can actually enjoy your food . Ordered special mutton biryani. Cost is comparable to other biriyani giants. But what I liked is that they said check the piece of the mutton ,if needed it will be changed . Although the piece was satisfactory but this gesture is welcoming.

The portions are huge and i mean huge . The quality is also A1. Although the biryani is kind of on the dry side accompanying it with the chicken chap is a must to enhance the taste even more. I would rate it 4.5 stars out of five. Definitely recommended. 💯💯

The quality of food us amazing, test and texture was super last thing the mutton was just wow so soft all spices was in proper balance.

I visited this (d bapi madhyamgram) place in the last year before Durga Puja when it opend recently, service and food quality was bad then I thought may be due to new opening, today I went again after almost a year with the hope that they would have improved but no it has become even bad. We took one special chicken biryani and one chicken piece in it was rotten it was smelling so badly we couldn't eat it. Rice was undercooked, potato was so hard and difficult to chew, literally it was uncooked. On letting them know about the rotten chicken they gave another piece from chicken chap at the end when we were done with eating so we asked to percel it and they said no need to give anything for container initially but later they took 10inr again for their mistake of serving rotten food. So don't go to this place if you do not want to die with food poisoning .
