A
few
minutes
after
we
arrived
at
the
resort,
my
wife,
son,
and
I
immediately
ran
to
the
beach,
since
we
sorely
missed
the
sand
and
waves
(this
included
the
excited
jumping
up-and-down
at
the
shore,
with
matching
hurrahs
and
yays).
Sadly,
my
wife
dropped
her
fone
who-knows-where
in
the
sand.
So,
we
asked
about
for
help
from
the
resort
lifeguards
and
security
people.
Everyone
scoured
the
nearby
shore,
and
some
(including
me)
dove
in
the
sea
to
look
for
the
fone.
Alas!
After
a
few
minutes
of
fruitless
hopeless
searching,
we
checked-in
to
our
room
lost
and
depressed
at
the
start
of
our
vacation
(which
was
also
a
celebration
for
my
son
and
his
3rd
birthday).
Inside
our
room,
trying
to
regain
ground,
feeding
my
starving
son
his
lunch,
the
front
desk
suddenly
called,
happily
saying
one
of
the
lifeguards
found
our
fone
stuck
in
the
sand!
Wow!
The
lifeguards
told
us
that
just
a
few
days
before,
some
guests
also
lost
their
fones
to
the
sea,
so
we
were
definitely
lucky!
Needless
to
say,
after
this
unforgettable
event,
we
had
a
blast,
especially
my
son,
since
it
was
his
first
time
bodyboarding
with
me
(the
resort
offers
surf
and
bodyboard
rentals
with
lessons,
unlike
other
resorts
in
the
area,
which
was
a
plus!
And
Ngwe
Saung
has
good
waves!)
Food
is
also
delicious
(especially
their
seafood
grill),
service
is
super-friendly
and
superb!
And
even
if
it
was
the
start
of
the
Water
Festival
here
in
Myanmar,
and
the
place
was
packed
with
families,
we
did
not
feel
crowded,
and
there
was
so
much
space!
The
resort
also
has
the
new
and
beautiful
Surf
Point
Restaurant
and
Bar
at
the
north
end
of
the
area
that
offers
refreshing
drinks
and
an
amazing
view
of
the
famous
Ngwe
Saung
sunset
(that
was
a
cool
respite
for
my
wife
and
I,
and
even
a
sand
pit
for
the
kids!)
Thanks
again
to
Ngwe
Saung
Yacht
Club
for
the
wonderful
stay!
Hereβs
to
the
next
beach
vacation
plan
in
your
resort!
