We had an Indian and an Italian dish. Price has increased due to high inflation but worth for the money. All the dishes in the menu will be prepared within 10-15 minutes. Same with beverages. Cooking stations are very clean. You can see the meals being prepared. Wide seating areas are available. This area has separate washrooms. Check my pictures for the menu.

I've been coming here for 5+ years but since the recent price hike, I don't feel like stepping into this place again. WorldSpice used to be one of the best restaurants in Kandy, that was fairly expensive yet delivered in terms of food quality. However there are many inconsistencies in food quality as of late and the place feels a bit run-down. On a lucky day you'll have a delicious meal on you plate, and on an unlucky day you'll be treated to a pile of cat food. In terms of prices, it's a major rip-off, which is the biggest factor that demotivates a future visit. I wouldn't mind paying the big bucks if I'm compensated with a quality experience in return. But sadly, the inconsistencies in this restaurant make that factor a tad unpredictable. Hope things improve in the future. 3/5

Nice place in Kandy city to have a meal. It's kind of self-service that you ordered it from the counter and pick up it later. Foods are not too much tasty. But presented nicely. Everything is billed to a card that they give you from the entrance and pay as when you leave 👍

Can choose a different variety of food. Quite a busy place but like the system that's being implemented. Great food and beverages. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Indian food. Thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan. Many other options too like Chinese, Thai, and Italian. Helpful staff. 2900 rupees for 2 people with a main meal and drink each.

KCC food court located in the top flow of the Kansas City Centre shopping mall. The food court is upscale and futuristic which might be confusing at first. On entering into the food court area there is a small gate where one of the employees hand you a key card. The card has a unique number and it also got an NFC chip inside. Which will open the gate. Once you enter there are several food stalls specialised in different cuisines. When you choose something to order just give them your key card and place the order then they will give you a buzzer, no paying at the counter. You could order any amount from different stalls using the key card. When you ready to leave then head to the exit gate and scan the key card and pay for everything you ordered. It's a neat system but take some time to get used to.

Very expensive yet nice food court located in Kandy City Centre. Visited after two years. I love this place and highly recommended. Food is tasty and portions are good. Better if they have dairy free dessert options as well But 03 stars were given due to the poor quality of juices. Unlike before, quality of juices are extremely bad. I ordered a mock tail with apple and bee honey. But a pinch of bee honey was not there. Juice was extremely strong and undrinkable. My friend ordered a mango juice which was extremely sour and undrinkable. Serving fresh juice is good. But should check whether they are drinkable. Also, there was pineapple and ginger one which also extremely strong.(good for a person with stomachache). They had a nice menu earlier. But this time extremely poor quality. So, be careful when you're ordering juices and mocktails. Other than that highly recommended.

💑Nestled on the top floor of Kandy City Center, this dining haven is a culinary journey through various corners of the world. You can indulge in flavors from India, Thailand, the West, Italy, Mexico, China, and Japan. 🌮 It's a mecca for food lovers, offering multiple cuisines that can be purchased at separate counters, each dedicated to a specific culinary tradition. 🍔 The food and beverages here are top-notch, making it a delightful dining experience. 📄 When you enter, they provide you with an NFC card to keep track of your orders. The total amount is tallied on the card, and you settle the bill at the main entrance upon leaving. 💰 Be aware that the prices can be somewhat high, and there's an additional 10-20% tax not always mentioned upfront. 🍽️ This is a self-service station, and there are designated areas for various types of cuisine. 🪑 They have spaces separated for several types of cuisine. There's plenty of seating, so you can enjoy your meal in comfort. 👍 If you found this review helpful, please mark it as such to encourage more detailed reviews that help others discover and appreciate wonderful places! ✅

Great place to relax and try different types of foods. There are Chinese, Italian, Thai and many more types of foods. We selected the Chinese foods (Sea food fried rice, Special sea food dish and Soup noodle) Very delicious. Recommended place in the Kandy Town.

I went with a few friends for lunch in august amidst the Kandy perahera festival. Many options to choose from as they have spaces separated for several types of cuisine. Plenty of seating spaces also. We ordered spaghetti, Pad thai and Kaho pad kai. The Italian dish was ok, but the thai dishes were rubbish and no where near tasted like thai food. Kaho pad kai tasted like a regular chinese friend rice from one of the local shops. The staff was friendly and even offered us to replace an item free of charge since we weren't clear with our order. If you are hungry and just want to eat something, then the place is ok. But if you want to taste authentic cuisine, I suggest you try somewhere else.

Thai section was really bad we ordered the regular dishes I usually order from them however in the menu it was deep fried prawns and we got boiled prawns with some sauce on it . Even the presentation was horrible it wasn’t neat at all the rice was overcooked and the attitude of the chefs were horrible they were only nice to people they chose to be nice and for the rest very bad attitude was shown so disappointed

We had a nice time in Kandy City Center World Spices Restaurant. They have Indian, Thai, Italian, Chinese and Sri Lankan Restaurants under one roof. We tried Chinese foods. Mongolian mixed meat rice, Seafood Fried Rice and Seafood Noodles Soup. All the meals are delicious. All the dishes on the menu will be prepared within 15 to 20 minutes. Clean and large open seating area for all the restaurants. Good customer service and highly recommend this place to all food lovers.

I recently dined at WorldSpice - KCC and was blown away by the flavors and ingredients used in their dishes. The menu offers a diverse selection of international cuisines, and everything we tried was expertly spiced and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at WorldSpice - KCC and will definitely be returning in the future.

Tried the bacon and eggs submarine and pasta salad from the Italian station. The bun of the submarine was dried out and cold and the filling had browned old salad leaves. The pasta salad was too oily and did not taste good as it looked. The salad leaves of the pasta salad did not seem fresh either.

Nice place to hang out and have a snack or a meal. They have this post paid nfc card system so you can pay at the exit. They do have different types of food such as italian, indian, thai etc. They have a snack corner and beverages shop as well. Prices in the menu does not include the VAT and will be added to your bill. Prices are somewhat above average though.

Latest addition to Kandy. A much needed place. Good start but needs improvement. Located in the top floor of the Kandy city center, this has many food stations from different corners in the world, Indian, Thai, Western, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, you name it. They give a card when you go in from the main entrance and the prices get added to the card, which you have to pay when you go out of the main entrance. What they don’t tell you is, there is around 10-20% tax added to the main amount when you pay the bill. The food is good and tasty. This is a self service station.

Amazing place to have a meal with our loved ones 😍❤️ There are lots of tasty and new foods based on the country and regional variation ! We tried Italian Carbonara ;one of the bestest dishes i've ever tasted ❤️, indian chicken rice, pizza, pasta etc.. and beverages also very fresh and tasty!! It is kinda self-service. You have to order the dish from the counter and take it yourself after checking several times whether it is ready or not! Nice arrangements !!!! ❤️ Really love for the experience 💐

Since this place is basically a half of the floor, it's really big and it offers multiple cuisines that can be purchased at separate counters, each one of them dedicated to a specific cuisine. What surprised me was spaghetti with chicken bacon. But as pork is in general not that popular in the country, this is not that surprising. I appreciated the payment system at the place. At the entrance to the restaurant, everybody gets a card that is used to load every order at the concrete counter where the person orders. Then you pay everything at once when you leave.

Food quality has drastically dropped and is a bit over priced. The environment is still upto a certain standard but food is now the issue. When I visited previously, food was much better and was hoping this time as well. I got myself a papaya salad from the Thai corner and there was no flavour whatsoever. Appreciate of these are looked into to avoid loosing customers. Other stations, the food was quite tasty

Too crowded at times and really hard to find a place to sit sometimes. Orders usually take up to 15-20 mins to be ready. Food is nice. Not the perfect calm atmosphere but good for a place to dine in with multiple choices such as indian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese etc.

If you are a student of course you can't frequent the place. But it is one of the best for family dining, an outing with friends and your loved ones. I personally prefer some quiet nature and personal space when I dine anywhere because I want to enjoy my food without any disturbance. World Spice has that. I highly recommend you to go there because there's a variety of food too. The atmosphere is pleasing.

Great place with a good choice of cuisine. However, the service has to improve starting from the security who think that they're keeping out criminals. Servers could also be more welcoming and engaging- it's what we expect in Sri Lanka. Still the go to place if your group wants variety.

Superb classy dining experience in Kandy. You have a choice of Indian, Chinese, Italian, and Thai food here. Soft drinks, fresh juices, desserts and cakes available too. I had two birthdays of my family members celebrated here. If you requested, the manager comes with a few staff members with the cake to sing "Happy birthday" for you. Really good and friendly people.

Great Variety and Taste also. We loved all of the food including beautiful deserts. A lovely place to have lunch with lots options. Though it a bit crowdy and difficult to get seats.

One of the employee in Beverage section really kept on telling me about the price of the food without billing it. Obviously we see the price before we choose something and why do you keep mentioning price when someone already wants to buy it lol. so unprofessional

This is an awesome and secured place to visit in Kandy. It’s technologically well established. Sky Blue is a must try for beverage lovers. The Combo from Snack Bar is worth the price, tasty and portion is good (770/-) I will not recommend the Chinese restaurant. The Chicken Soup Noodles is not tasty and not worth the price (800/- +).

Relaxing place At first glance, there is nothing too worldly about World Spice. At second glace, there is nothing too worldly about World Spice. World Spice is as standard looking as any food court can get. It’s really clean, it’s got that going for it. It's also really well organized. You are handed a plastic card as you enter, and you have to swipe it to get past a little gate. Then you are confronted by a large menu, stretching across the wall.

Nothing more to add. This is the best place to dine in, in Kandy. The food is little bit expensive, but it's worth it. This is the place where I hang around with friends because you can spend time as much as you want. No one is there to force you to leave. I recommend you to go and have a meal here. You won't regret it.

If you are hungry, and in kandy, this is your place to go for a large portion of very tasty food! You have a number of choices from many different world cuisines. However the prices are a little higher compared to the other cafes in kandy, and a service charge is added.

  • 1/5 Dilan Ryan F. 2 years ago on Google
The Chinese food place at KCC (Kandy City Center) food court is the worst. We ordered a sea food mongolian which cost LKR 1200+. It was literally just vegetable fried rice which was already made with chopsuey poured over it. It was actually not even enough for 1 person just few prawns and may be cuttlefish and it was tasteless, When the chef was questioned they said this is the style they prepare it, How on earth does Mongolian come with chopsuey poured over fried rice. The chef literally had no response. The manager of the place tried to defend but eventually took the plate away and never showed up. As a foodie KCC food court specially the chinese place is not a place to buy your food. I thought the place had better standard but clearly its good for nothing and over priced.
