Radh is a nice place in Kandy. I’ve visited several times here so far every time had the best food but the prices are a little high. Love their French toast it’s is the best love every bite of it. Even the burgers tastes so good.

A lovely place situated in the heart of Kandy city. A great place to chill. Relaxing atmosphere. The service was great. The food was nice. Tried the Japanese food and it was quite good. There's other food to choose from.. Highly recommend.

I placed a reservation for my father’s Birthday dinner at Cafe Nihonbashi Kandy. I placed the reservation from overseas and they accommodated payments through a money transfer app. So first of all thank you for going out of your way to make that happen! I was told that from the time they entered the restaurant they were provided with excellent hospitality including complimentary desserts and entree’s. I was also told that the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant was top notch and the staff were helpful and very friendly ☺️Last but not least the food was spectacular, good portion size and reasonably priced! It was a great experience and my father was very happy! 😍 THANK YOU!

Absolute treat to dine here. Food has always been impeccable, the staff is always super hospitable, lovely interior and it's just an overall wonderful experience. Probably the only the place in Kandy that you can find authentic Japanse cuisine. If you don’t fancy Japanese, you can always go with Radh dining menu which serves non-Japanese food. Good place for hosting friends for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended as an always reliable restaurant in Kandy.

Got myself the creamy seafood pasta, royal burger, prawn tempura, and orange juice. The burger was alright, nothing too special. But let me tell you, the seafood pasta was out of this world! Definitely the best I've ever had. Staff was super friendly, and the ambience was perfect. It seems like every dish here is special because even the waiter had a hard time suggesting just one. Highly recommend!

I went there with my friends. It was a great place and the service was amazing from the arrival and got almost nothing to complain about. The Ebi Curry and Okonomiyaki were delicious and we loved every single moment there. The staff was very supportive as well as the venue itself was was very scenic. At the first glance the prices were seemed to us as overpriced but the prices were gradually seeming justifiable from the moment we tasted the sushi. To be completely honest #1 fact was that we were very comfortable there. Approved 🤠

The cafe is superb but wish there was more privacy for a family outing. the place is superb and the staff is very polite and helpful. food is ok. not the best Japanese food but there are no other places in Kandy for my knowledge with Japanese food.

Excellent ambiance, food and service. A great place to have a late night bite or a coffee. Staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Potion sizes are good and great value for money. High ceilings and the lighting makes the place feel cosy.

The Maki rolls and chicken burger were so good!

Fifty minutes after ordering, the only thing that sounds pleasant is the waiter's conversation. I won't come back and I use the retort for curry and instant miso soup. They talk a lot over the rice they bring. I can understand why the restaurant is empty. As a Japanese, I don't want them to talk about Japanese food.

We had dinner at the Cafe a few months ago. While the food was great the service was pathetic. We ordered some sushi and rice dishes. It was our expectation that sushi would be served first and followed up with rice later as is the norm at other Japanese restaurants we've been to. This was not the case as the server brought different dishes sporadically. One or two of us had not received any food by the time some had finished their meals. To make matters worse, we were informed that a particular dish could not be served as they had run out of ingredients. This was close to an hour after the order had been taken. Eventually they ended up serving what we ordered. The food was very tasty although the serving process and management made this a bad experience. I hope the management takes note.

very bad service… 1- they brought the bill twice even if I didn’t ask for. Apparently, they wanted to kick us out. 2- they didn’t clean my table until I had asked for it 3- coffee served was cold 4- food I ordered for my 3 years old was spicy. They didn’t even ask for it

You must take the french toast!! Also the sushi was really good.

Ordered off Uber eats. Overall the food - salmon rolls and veggie curry - was okay. The rolls were better than the curry. Nothing spectacular. Good portions, well packed and reasonably priced.

I saw the reviews and felt optimistic, I wasn't expecting amazing sushi but I was expecting the food to be edible: especially for the price and location (part of a fancy hotel). I first ordered a portion of rice to come with my chicken teriyaki, the rice came half cold and hard, the guy insisted it was fresh but it clearly wasnt, and then he TOUCHED my rice to see the temperature! This is NOT okay. Especially in COVID times. The chicken teriyaki was the only thing I enjoyed, but even that had a lot of gristle in the chicken. The sushi was the worst I've ever tasted, it was very mushy and almost tasted like fuel?? I told the staff this AFTER I paid as I didn't want them to think I was just complaining for compensation, but they needed to know, they didn't seem to care which was really concerning. These prices are comparable to what I spend in London for sushi, so it definitely needs to do way better. Really disappointed. Would not recommend at all.

As a restaurant we actually don't like to give any negative comments to any restaurant. Yesterday we visited this place looking for a new experience. We have to admit that the restaurant is beautiful, good, well maintained and really clean. But there is a problem with the service and food. The waiter gave us two menues of main courses and didn't give us the drinks menu and burger menu till we asked whether they have burgers and anything to drink. The Japanese curry tasted really good and it had the original taste of the Japanese curry in Japan. But the nasigoreng was not that good. It was not spicy as mentioned in the menu and had no flavor in it at all. The kebab stick was really dry and was really difficult to eat. The burger bun was really dry and there was not a whole chicken leg as described in the menu. The waiter took a long time to serve the glass of water.and the milkshake was good but it was not thick as we expected in a milkshake. Hope you will consider these things and correct them. Because as a restaurant, representing Japan, the service and food should be really good! Thank you!!

Terrible service, average food, scam. Awful dining experience at a wanna be western place. Things not to like: - very long waiting times despite only three tables booked, Sushi arrives im batches with long waiting times in between, even drinks took ages to arrive - prices on menu shown for order differed from prices on eventual bill, items were added to the bill that were not ordered - average food, sushi is made from normal rice rather than sushi rice, which leads to sushi falling apart - half the menu not available, but only told when we wanted to order - no serviettes - asked for ketchup and mayoress for fries, simply ignored - asked for extra Ginger, simply ignored Overall place is terrible, we went to dine to another restaurant afterwards as we did not want to spent any more time waiting there or being exposed to the terrible service. Prices are way overpriced for what you get.

Visited cafe Nihonbashi for a quick bite before dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and the place had a calming atmosphere away from the bustling city. Ordered maki, desserts and coffee. The Maki was very fresh and had an authentic taste. The desserts were really yummy too! Recommend the coffee jelly with condensed milk for all coffee lovers.
