Had an amazing experience at Senani by Oak Ray. This restaurant and the hotel is located at a View Point. Meals were really good at their restaurant. Roof top is an open area without any shelter which gives you the best view of the city of Kandy. Prices are average. Table service is available but need improvements. Live music is available and it was really thrilling to enjoy the music while dinning. Highly Recommend.

Food is delicious and large portion is enough for 3 people. Nice view of the lake, ambient environment. Music on demand from the live 3 piece band. At night, it’s light up pretty well without a roof, Overall a good experience. Staff is sometimes gets overwhelmed when the place is crowded and stops being professional. Have to ask multiple times to clear a table or clean the place. Parking is available for around 4-5 vehicles

The prices were higher than elsewhere. The service was very fast. There were many menus and there seemed to be many options.

So , we were brought here by our guide , this place is full of tourist so probably a popular place … Really nice view with a wind breeze… bit noisy because of the road , service is polite …. We were advised to eat some chicken breast … so it was ok , nothing mind blowing but good enough to eat it .

Food is great just like those days. Senani has been providing a great taste for more than 15 years. Singapore style noodles and chicken curry are the best.

Only postive thing to mention is the great ambiance and Kandy city view. Worst meal I've ever had in Kandy! Ordered sea food kebab and it was too salty and unpalatable. Took more than one n half hours to deliver our order. Very poor customer service. Gave a discount after the complaint we made . However, not satisfied at all.

Calm and relaxing place with a good view of the Kandy City. The staff was friendly and the food served fast. We ordered the Seafood fried rice and Chicken Chow mein. Both dishes were tasty and well presented. Their portion size and prices are also reasonable. (Small portion is enough for two people). Will visit again.

The place had a good view of the lake despite the construction on the left. Very tasty info Chinese food- everything devilled is spicy. Enjoyed the beef and chicken tremendously.

Best thing here is the amazing view. Located at the famous Kandy view point. Good food and very good service too. Place is more happening in evenings with live music etc.

I ordered Prawns, hot with garlic. I got overcooked prawns which were swimming in ketchup!!! The dish was not edible. There was live music; not what I wish to have in a restaurant where you eat, not dance. I have added a picture of prawns in garlic; this is how they should look!

Went there for lunch. Location has breathtaking view of kandy town , lake , maliwagawa & provide excellent service. However the food not that tasty.

Come late for lunch at 2pm. The food is average and we ordered the chicken biryani rice and garlic fried spinach . However the wifi is not working today and a bit disappointing. The view is good but can’t take good pictures due to the street cable wire block your view. Good service and price can be high!

Hopeless place! Waited over 2 hours to be served with over salted food. Hope they did not disappoint the handful of tourists present. Wont give even the single star if I had an option!

One of the best place where you can find great taste Western foods. Most of the time night is the most crowded time and you might have to wait to bit longer to place your order. Except for the service delay food and atmosphere is 100% nice.

We had 4 different types of food menus brought to us. After taking time to read them all (a chore in itself) we had decided on the set menu. There were 6 options. Whilst ordering, we discovered that all 6 set menus were a mix and match of other dishes because, well, they didn't actually give us a reason. We told the waiter to not bother with food and we will just pay for our drinks. A piddly little cocktail cost 2,200 rs. This is it pictured next to a beer that cost 1,300 rs. Pathetic.

One of the best and top quality restaurants in Kandy. I had a nice experience on my visit on Asia Cup Final (2022/09/11) day. Perfect & Fine, Fresh food, beautiful environment, Supportive staff. Believe this is the best place to hangout with your family & friends in middle of kandy town with an elegant view. They serve not only great meal but also liquor/beverages as well. View is cool. Place looks also cool but nothing more. Prices are to high but the same quality as in the normal cafe. Coffee wasn’t good and I think waiter scammed us with final prices and some strange tax. Wouldn’t recommend it

The food was great and the ambience is really good at night with the live music. However the service could’ve been faster in terms of settling the bill and other stuff that shouldn’t usually take much time. Otherwise it was great.

The view from this place is amazing, one can see the whole city at one glance. Food was good and the staff was friendly and supportive. However, the quality of service can be improved by adding little things. Much ideal for small gatherings of family or friends.

Deceived by the looks of the place. Went there and ordered a pasta pink sauce with seafood, black olives, and chopped chives. With parmesan cheese. And we got a plate of pasta with different cheese and no olive. And when we complained it about it to a waiter he said it was better cheese. 😅

Good place to dine. Chicken fried rice large 650/- and it’s enough for 2. We ordered one large chicken fried rice one mock tail (rs.450/-) & one chocolate drink. We got 25% discount by commercial credit card and total amount was rs.1200/-😍😍😍

Located in a place where the view of the Kandy city is breath-taking. Spacious and cozy environment. Good food and value for money. Customer friendly staff and quick service. Not much space to park the vehicles. Variety of dishes to select.

Food quality was truly bad. We ordered a few Chinese dishes - which looked and tasted the same. When we gave the feedback to the waiter - he said yes Szechuan chicken should be spicier and cooked differently. Even the lasagna we ordered tasted the same as the Chinese food - didn’t think that was a possibility. We couldn’t finish the food since we lost our appetite after a few bites. Don’t waste your money at this place.

I visited this place on 24th March 2021. I recommend this as a best place to have your lunch near Kandy. Senani Restaurant has a nice view of whole Kandy town. Food is awesome and portions are quiet big. Value for money. Hope to visit again.

After a long day, our first in Sri Lanka, we thought we'd wind up at this fancy establishment, conveniently opposite the Kandy viewpoint. The place looked fabulous with multiple floors, several people, and beautiful lighting. But it only lacked one thing. Service. Not one person came to see us to a table, or hand us a menu, or even let us know if we could eat there, despite our asking. After scouring all the floors, I spotted maybe only 2 people who worked there, which is shocking given that there were more people in the Mariachi band playing above. It felt like an abandoned amusement park, mainly catering to Europeans and families. The food may have been good, but we wouldn't know. Fortunately for us, Uber Eats was able to deliver.

Called and asked if it is a BYOB place. They said yes first. Then when we went to that place they said that it’s not possible to bring bottles. And they would charge Rs. 2000 as Corkage. Extremely unfriendly customer service
