The
hike
up
to
this
temple
was
a
little
unexpected,
but
can
be
easily
done
with
frequent
stops
(This
is
coming
from
a
64
year
old.)
During
your
stops,
you
are
likely
to
see
monkeys.
I
actually
spotted
&
watched
a
giant
squirrel
which
is
the
national
animal
of
Sri
Lanka!
Again,
at
the
top,
no
shoes
and
ladies
must
wear
appropriate
clothing.
The
caves
and
the
many
Buddha
statues
were
very
interesting.
I
loved
the
ancient
artwork
on
the
walls
&
ceilings.
If
you're
lucky,
you'll
also
be
there
when
the
monks
come
to
pray
and
give
their
offerings,
which
gives
you
another
window
into
the
culture
of
Sri
Lanka.
The
surrounding
views
from
the
top
are
also
beautiful.The
