Everything! This is a SUPER HOST! He went over and beyond. NOTTING HILL Country Housr was elegant, spotless and comfortable. The host was unbelievably kind. I am a female traveling on my own and the host was there to help.me with everything. I left my sweater in the room and he was willing to send it to be by train to my hotel 5 hours away. He provided a midnight pickup from the airport for me. I went to Ella and wasn't happy there so his driver came back to get me and brought me back to Kandy and he had a room all ready for me. This is absolutely the place to stay in Kandy. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Excellent place to stay when in Kandy. It is about 20 minute walk away from the city center, a nice stroll along Kandy lake. The house is nice, 8 rooms only. The owner and his staff take very good care of the guests. Breakfast is excellent. Very nice touch is that every day there is a different local dish served in the breakfast! We highly recommend staying here.

I cannot say enough about this gem. The owner welcomed me at my car by name. Arranged me a tuctuc immediately, suggested a restaurant, looked after me the complete visit. The views of the jungle and temple are lovely. The breakfast is full of fresh and healthy local fruits, and cuisine. The hotel is quiet. The rooms are large and clean. I wish I had planned a longer stay here. It really is a sophisticated stay

A warm welcome awaits at this lovely old style accommodation. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and offer amazing views out over the town. Fonseka and his staff ensured we had a marvelous stay - breakfast served each morning out on the patio/garden - a great start to our day. Every effort was made to ensure our comfort - we wish we could have stayed longer. Best wishes to you all with our thanks and appreciation.

Best place in Kandy! Small colonial-style Villa. Not far from the main tourist spots in Kandy ( 300-400 rupees per tuk-tuk). Friendly and attentive host and staff. Total 7 rooms only. Great Breakfast and service. Clean bed, rooms have everything you need. Free wifi. Do not choose a hotel near the centre of Kandy. Believe me, you can't find anything better!!!

Super place for a relaxing break. The hotel is very professionally run by the owner, Fonseca, who can organise everything for you. The room and bathroom were large, airy and spotlessly clean. From the room balcony you can observe a mongoose and it's pup and a troop of monkeys making their way through the surrounding trees. The breakfasts are excellent, and served on a terrace with superb views of the surrounding hills. For anyone looking for a relaxing break in tranquil and picturesque surroundings this hotel would be very difficult to beat.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in March 2018 where we were made to feel very welcome. The hotel and room were exceptionally clean, and the bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was great - more than we could eat - and Fonseka went out of his way to find gluten-free bread for me. The only negative is the distance to the main part of town. It’s walkable maybe once a day, but you’ll be relying on tuk-tuks at around 350rp per trip otherwise if you need to go shopping or go out for a meal or drink.

Classic old English residence converted into a stunning villa with a breakfast view over the hills. Fonseka is the most accommodating host and you will have all the amenities required. Great place with a style.

The owner has extensive experience in the hotel industry (worked in Dubai), and it shows. The place is spotless, the service personalized and very friendly. He spontaneously upgraded us to the "honeymoon suite" which has a lovely balcony and a huge bathroom. The breakfast is massive and endless. He also sorted a tuk-tuk for us to see all the sights, and got us to the proper bus to Dambulla, all at very reasonable rates. Trust his advice! :) Only downside: It's not a great walk from town, up a hill on a pollution-choked road (like everywhere in Kandy) with no sidewalks. Better to tuk-tuk there.
