Very honoured to be part of the customers staying for the first opening night of the hotel. The place is super nice. The beds are amazing, the bathroom is well designed and spacious, the staff is super friendly and will do its best to fit your needs. It's also very well located and very central in Kandy. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Be careful with this hotel, On Sunday, I inquired about a booking, and the person who answered the call promised to provide the space in the hotel premises with arranged chairs to watch the perahara free of charge. I have children and we are going to see the perahara. Initially, he mentioned the family room for 20000 B&B (both 26th and 27th). He seems to be an understanding person and clearly stated his positive attitude towards the customer. However, after a while, he gave me a call and mentioned that he made a mistake and the new price is LKR. 25000. Also, he promised to provide it on a B&B basis. Still, I said yes and he mentioned that I will be contacted by their reservation and request a small advance today. Since I didn't get a call, around 5.30 pm gave a call and inquired about it because I was very suspicious since I didn't get the call. The person named Thilak Amarasekara answered and I just inquired about not getting the call. He told me that I need to pay in full beforehand and also, he cannot assure me of a seat. He mentioned they have open spaces and also you can go and watch the perahara in front of their hotel. So this is how they do business. Very cunning, selfish answer. I believe he must be going to sell the space to some other people as we were promised to give FOC. Also, no parking and customers have to park in the KCC car park and pay for the whole day. It’s a bit far away. Therefore, please be careful with this hotel staff as they seem to be very unprofessional and I’m also on second thoughts about going there with my family. This can happen to other people as well. I guess they wanted to cancel my booking and sell it at a higher price as they started the campaign on Monday.

Conveniently located city hotel . I specifically looked for a hotel in the city within my budget. I have not enjoyed stays at several other city hotels. Ceyloni might be compact with just 12 rooms, but the rooms , layout , furniture , toilet etc was top class . Staff were also very courteous . Street parking but they make arrangements if you call. My main requirements were..a comfortable room for a good night's sleep, and within walking distance of the railway station. 10/10 on both. Will certainly visit again . 2023 update Visited after a year. Consistent service and quality 👌. Kudos to Mr. Thilak the manager 👏

City Hotel, located in the centre of the city. Walking distance to most places within the city. Since it's off the main road, it's not so noisy, so you can sleep without trouble. Rooms are in good condition. AC works properly. Hot water and bathroom are good. Towels and bedsheets are aged and are in need of replacement. But they are clean.

The WiFi worked really fast and smoothly. The hotel has a back up generator when the power fails. I stayed here now for the 4th or 5th time over the years and this time about a week. The staff were extremely accommodating and catered to all my requests as needed. The breakfast was redundant but you always had the option of requesting something special for breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety and always with a fruit platter, fruit juice fresh pureed and tea or coffee. Everything was neatly laid out on the table. The room was very comfortable with a lovely private balcony, the view wasn't very nice, it just showcased the streets and shops. The rooms were cleaned nicely and sheet changes must be requested or you will have the same sheets throughout. The pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was very utile. The shower was excellent with various options. The water was always hot and lovely. Everything worked great. Wonderful towels in the bathroom very large and plush. There was a supply of shampoo, body wash, bar soaps. You must request them to be replenished. Toilet paper can be requested. There is a fridge in the room that is very useful to fill it with things you need. The elevator works wonderful. Nearby is the Sathosa grocery where you can get groceries but no facial tissues or toilet paper, that you can buy in the adjoining paper store. The paper store has so much in it associated with paper. Nearby are innumerable stores from electronics, to groceries, to toys, to household items. The Kandy City Center is about 8-10 blocks away, but very near. It is a great location to walk around. Lovely restaurants nearby are the Global Kitchen, Summer Indian, Italian restaurant is Burger & Panini within a few blocks, there are also less clean restaurants for local fares like dosas, hoppers, and similar items. I really enjoyed staying here and hope to being here again with the lovely staff.

Good place for short stay. My stay was not so great, had to fight for hot water in the night, did hit my head twice to towel stand near shower (it was very low and blocking shower door), tv was hiding behind wardrobe, AC temperature was not changing. No free parking, and if you have a car like I did, you end-up paying 50LKR per hour for parking (importantly you may also struggle to find parking slot closer to the hotel during day). Hotel is in a walkable distance to Budha tooth relic temple and also many restaurants and shops. I might think to consider this place on next visit.

Absolutely Amazing I stayed in this hotel in March 2019. This hotel has all the amenities you need. From on-time breakfast, friendly staff, clean, fast room service to locker, dedicated USB ports and mini fridge. What else do you need? Its clean and hygienic too. Conveniently located near restaurants and attractions at the centre of Kandy. This hotel satisfied me a lot. Honestly I was never expecting such a great hotel in Kandy but I was wrong. I loved it and I really do recommend this hotel for stays in Kandy. It's a MUST. Cheers

Beautiful, clean and lovely place to stay! We we're warm welcomed with a homemade juice. The room is clean, big and has a fantastic bed! The hotel owner recommended us to eat at the restaurant in front of the hotel, which was fantastic! After dinner it was raining so hard.. The host saw us, came to the restaurant with an umbrella and made sure we we're doing great. You won't regret staying at this place! Thank you❤️

We have stayed at dozens of hotels in Sri Lanka. Especially in Central. This is on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and always there for any need of ours. Thank you so much. Overall, we had a great experience and again the staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. Private parking does not available and we stay our vehicle park at the road in front of the hotel. But security is very good. Their is very good restaurant in front of the hotel. I think this restaurant also manage by the same management. We can order any food in resalable price. Food are very delicious. Fried rice, Koththu, Hoppers, Tea available this restaurant. Walking distance to Dalada Maligawa. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located in the Kandy city center. very closer to Sri Dalada Maligawa and other attractions. Many restaurants are nearby to take food and beverages. The rooms are clean and comfortable room. All the Staff was very friendly. Very reasonable for the price.

The Hotel is Located in the center of Kandy. The rooms are spaceious and clean but we had sadly no mosquito net. Up in the room our Wlan was not quite good.

Rooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained just as shown in the pictures. Very friendly staff! No big view of the city and the hotel is just a building in a busy street but that’s convenient if you are traveling to kandy by bus/train as it’s situated within walking distance from the city and everything around kandy.

Quite and nice place..WiFi is not good. We did inform to Mr. Thilakasiri. He doesn't care about it. Even didn't have a look. It's massively interrupted our virtual seminars and exams.

An excellent star grade hotel which is located in heart of Kandy town which is walkable to all these tourists spots. Made through booking.com paid at the property. They accept USD and card payments also. It's very nearby tooth temple of Buddha. Booked 3 member bedroom on Dec 3rd-4th which was excellent spacious and beds were neat. Bathroom was very clean, as we were from India the manager arranged some touch of Indian cuisine for our complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was extraordinary delicious,they served string hoppers fish curry and Excellent fruit along with yogurt. The service was very good from the hotel team, nothing negative. But the property doesn't have a private car parking space,the vehicle has to be parked in front of hotel on the roadside where they charge fee for parking from municipal. Great wifi reception and Excellent service

A basic hotel but it has everything that is needed. And at its price, there is little to complain (except the smelly pillow). The two gentlemen working there clearly do their best to maximize the happiness of their guests. Negative points: 1. A little noisy at night (all downtown Kandy hotels will have this problem); 2. Pillow has sweat smell [1 point off]; 3. A mosquito repellent should be provided in the room.

Convenient location and easily accessible to all the main attractions situated near Kandy town. Very clean and spacious rooms with all the basic faclities. The continuous support and the friendliness of the staff is also commendable. Breakfast spread was good and delicious too. Good service for an affordable cost. Only issue was the weak WiFi connection. Other than that everything was top notch. Highly recommended!

One of the most convenient places in the heart of Kandy city. Everything is just few steps away and this place is in walking distance to the temple of tooth. If you want a nice view, do not pick this place. You can check their other hotels, Ceyloni Panorama and Ceyloni Lake. Totally recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable vacation or a bussiness trip.

Affordable hotel with clean rooms and excellent service. You'll be greeted with a glass of juice. The location is perfect and the bathrooms are clean. You can also pay by card. Highly recommended

Clean hotel within walking distance of most shops and restaurants. However, it is located near a very busy road and the walls aren't very thick so you here lots of outside noises especially during the day. The sound of the cars didn't prevent me from getting some sleep though. Western style breakfast (mainly toast) was good but the friendly staff made it even better. WiFi worked sporadically but overall better than in some more remote parts of Sri Lanka (e.g., Sigiriya, Ella).

Excellent service. We've ended up staying here three times during our extended trip to Sri Lanka and every stay has been a pleasure. Great location, comfy rooms and a hot shower! Also staff have been fantastic at welcoming us and helped us with our queries.

Hotel is located in the city center and main attractions can be discovered easily by foot. Staff was helpful, and breakfast was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean.
