The owner and his wife are really kind and always smiling, accommodating with freshly cooked breakfast and clean environment, this place is really worth of the price. While enjoying the breeze/ cigar in the extra space of balcony where u could hang your backpacking washed clothes, it really makes u feel at home to stay here🙂

Room was big but interior is not so good. If you just want to stay for night and don't expect any luxurious room then its okay. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed Sri Lankan and English breakfast. Location is near to the view point.

I had been there for three days of my vacation during the Lanka visit. Really amazing. Honestly 10 times worth than what we paid . Friendly host and his family. Awesome

This is one of the best home I have stayed in. Me and my wife were planning on staying here for one day but because of the incredible hospitality from Ruchira and his mum we extended our trip by a day. This place has so much more to offer beyond its amazing location, scenic view and serene interiors. The place was designed and executed by Ruchira himself. The host Ruchira is an avid traveller and can guide you and make an itenary for you. Please do not miss their authentic srilankan breakfast it is the best. Would recommend this place to everyone

A realy awesome place if you are looking for a place very close to Kandy town. It is just 5 min walk to Kandy town. Place is very clean and pleasant and the owner of the property also very kind and helpful. And you can taste delicious Sri Lankan foods as well.

The family who runs The Brick House are very kind and accommodating. Though the room does not have AC, the temperatures in Kandy at night are not too warm that you need it. The WiFi works well, and the family is quick to help with anything. One of the electrical outlets in our room was not working so they brought us a power strip so that we could charge all of our devices. There is an outdoor terrace to relax if the weather is nice, and they offer both a Sri Lankan and English breakfast (both are delicious!). We stayed here during Kandy Esala Perahera and appreciated being a bit removed from the noise but within walking distance of the action. And, it’s short tuktuk ride back from the center so if you don’t feel like walking up the hill, you’re in luck!

Brick House. A very simple yet catchy and easy to remember. Not a posh hotel kinda feel but a great feel like being at home.This guy Ruchira, not only an entrepreneur but a great artist, super friendly guy. After a long day of sightseeing in Kandy we came home starving. He was kind enough to order some food through uber eats. As the house was on top beyond the lake point view I felt lazy to go down and get dinner. His parents are the sweetest. That uncle and aunty works from morning 6 to night 10-11ish. Lovely english breakfast. We spent two nights. Initially the plan was just for the night. Our itinerary changed so we extended our stay for one more night. The room with a double cot was great, spacious and I relly loved the instant geyser. Nice hot shower. Great wifi. Plus they had a dog on their terrace. Met him just once. ☺🐕 Great vacation, great stay.

The best homestay I have ever met in Kandy. On my last visit I was with my family. Highly recommended this place for nature lovers too. The Kandy view point is so close to this place. Just about 750 meters from KCC. You can travel on foot or on tuk tuk. Traveling by foot is worth than a tuk tuk you can enjoy the environment too. Special thanks for the owner Mr. Gamage for maintaining such a great place for travellers.

We have stayed there for 2 days recently, good place, very kind and helpfull service. The room we stayed were small, no tv , bathroom is average but clean

Owner is a lady who wants everyone to have a positive experience. The homestay is quaint and has pretty views of the lake. Price is very reasonable, rooms are spacious, clean and we got tea/coffee for breakfast

We had an amazing stay at Brick house. The owner is very nice and helpful. She even asked our tuk tuk driver to bring us to a place where we can by food for our train ride to Ella because she was worried for us not having breakfast. The room and bathroom was also nice and clean. Totally recommend staying at Brick house in Kandy.
