Located
on
a
ridge
high
above
the
Mahaweli
River,
the
rooms
enjoy
spectacular
views
across
the
lush
valley,
mysterious
misty
mornings
and
glorious
sunsets.
Rooms
have
no
aircon
and
no
fridge,
but
the
aspect
allows
you
to
open
doors
and
windows
and
enjoy
cooling
breezes
much,
but
not
all,
of
the
time.
The
free
tuktuk
service
into
the
city
(15
mins)
ensures
the
quiet
situation
does
not
seem
too
isolated,
but
remember
to
take
the
hotel
address
with
you
when
you
need
to
get
a
tuktuk
to
bring
you
back.
It's
a
very
convoluted
access
up
an
unlit,
steep
and
winding
road.
The
food
was
excellent,
especially
breakfast,
and
the
service
calm,
courteous
and
efficient.
You
share
the
hotel
with
two
large
but
friendly
dogs.
It's
pricey,
but
a
really
lovely
place
to
relax,
even
better
when
the
new
swimming
pool
is
opened
later
this
year.
