Good place to visit. The tower built between the windbreaks is the most impressive. The goal of everyone who comes here is to climb the tower. Before going to the top of the mountain, you have to buy a ticket near the security gate where you will be checked. (As this place is considered a place of religious, please refrain from behaving inappropriately to a place of religious.) If coming in a private vehicle, it is best to arrive in a vehicle suitable for crossing the road at an angle of 45 degrees. After climbing the mountain can reached the foot of the tower. The parking lot will often be overcrowded. However, when reach the foot of the tower, there can see the image of several other buildings (Buddhist temple, Hindu temple, mosque and Christian mosque) in addition to the tower. Climbing the tower is a bit difficult but during the climb will have the opportunity to experience various weather changes. After climbing to the top, the surrounding scenery is very interesting, beautiful and very calmly. A place to visit to free the mind of someone who leads a busy life. 🧘 -03/Jan/2021

A really cool spot worth visiting while you’re in Sri Lanka, however, make sure you go during an off day as it is very difficult to go up to the top of the tower after a certain point given how narrow it becomes further up and how many people are up there at any given time. Stunning panoramic view of the area that gets more and more beautiful the further you go up the tower A polytheistic shrine area dedicated to most major religions, except Judaism apparently. A smaller tower to climb, and plenty of terrace space at the base to admire the sights and take in the surrounding nature. A true breath of fresh air, make sure you go on a nice and sunny day as I can imagine those steps to be even more treacherous when wet. NOT FOR ANYONE AFRAID OF HEIGHTS. Expect to pay 2 fees: 1,200 LKR to access the Ambuluwawa complex 100 LKR to access the tower itself. Transport: Getting up the mountain is not easy, so you might need a TukTuk or a driver. The TT can cost anywhere from 400 to 1000 LKR so heads up on that. Food: There’s a restaurant outside the tower complex. Bring water bottles and take them with you when you’re done. WARNING: Once you reach a certain point near the top, you have to be very thin to go further. Additionally, there are only small holes in the center for you to climb into while others come down, but it gets tricky and some people want to do photos and chill up there, so you might be in for quite a wait and some not very fun back and forth with the stairs and the hole. Security: Pretty safe, but be careful what you leave in the car or tuk tuk. Also, monkeys will steal from cars and parked vehicles, so beware of that…

It is 3567 meters above sea level, with 200 plants belonging to 80 various varieties. We understand that the trek to the mountaintop is difficult, but as we all know, the most difficult climb always provides the finest vistas. From this tower, you can enjoy some of the greatest views such as Sri Pada or Adams Peak in the south, Knuckles Mountain Range in the North, Bathalegala or Bible Rock in the West and Piduruthalagala Mountain (east). You may see the spectacular view of the Hanthana Mountain Range, Hunnasgiriya, and the mountains in the Nuwara Eliya area if you visit on a day with a clear sky and no mist. The Hanthana Mountain Range is famed for being a lone warrior capable of withstanding everything thrown at it, as well as being the home of many travelers and happily providing adventure to those who seek it. Moving on, the Ambuluwawa Tower is Sri Lanka's first multi-religious center. A Temple, a Kovil, a Mosque, and a Church may all be seen. The Ambuluwawa temple is an evocation of a Buddhist'stupa' with a height of 48 meters, according to legend. From the outset, this Multi Religious Centre demonstrates ideal harmony and unity among us Sri Lankans. You'll notice that not only Buddhists visit the Ambuluwawa Tower to enjoy the breathtaking views and to worship their respective religions. In 2006, this location was designated as a Biodiversity complex, which is an interesting information. When you reach the summit of Ambuluwawa, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views that are occasionally obscured by the persistent mist. When the mist clears, though, the vista might be frightening, especially for individuals who are afraid of heights. Note that trekking Ambuluwawa is not in any way dangerous or harmful. However, it is not recommended for people who are afraid of heights. Avoid leaning over the railing to take photos, especially near the top, as this is quite dangerous and one may easily fall. The Ambuluwawa is a short climb that offers panoramic views of the surrounding highlands, woodlands, rivers, and cities. The Ambuluwawa is roughly 1,965 feet above the Gampola town level. The Ambuluwawa Mountain rises to a height of around 3560 meters above sea level. The tower rises at a height of roughly 48 meters, and climbing to the top is not suggested for the elderly or children. The serpentine mountain route winds through alpine scenery, rocks, and rare vegetation that can't be found anyplace else. Three ponds, a sacred Bodhi tree, a water park, a stone park, and herb garden are among the sights to see. Former Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Jayaratne, often known as "Di Mu," who was born near Gampola, opened the Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Center. The Ambuluwawa is 85 kilometers from Colombo for people traveling from there.

Ambuluwawa Tower is located in the suburbs of Gampola Town in Sri Lanka. There has been an increased popularity in recent times especially due to the breathtaking views you can experience when you climb to the top of the Ambuluwawa Tower. It is also known for its narrow spiral staircase which some visitors find challenging to climb. It is one of the coolest places to visit in Sri Lanka if you are up for the challenge

One of the most popular places around Gampola area. Place gets very crowded during the day therefore it is better to get there as early as possible. The ticket counter opens at 8:00am so it’s better if you plan to get there around that time. Otherwise you will find difficult to climb up to the tower as the stairs get narrower at the top . Many had to turn back without getting to the top because there wasn’t enough room to cross in the stairs. 360 view from the top is amazing.

This one of highest place in this eria . Beautiful place for friends with vibe .It has been one of the most iconic place in the modern day. It's a modern day built and it's open for everyone. But sometimes you may not be able to climb to the top due to renovations or restrictions. Make sure to take a camera or a good phone to take some quality pictures. Look for a not too busy day or else you'll have to wait about an hour or so to get to the top. But we can't go route bus to near . We will go want to auto or working . I think use texi is best choice . Its charge 600 rupees . Go to text for 4 persons . Go and take a pictures and make a memories Photo shoot for best place in our country. Mostly use cobra or 360 cameras.

Ambuluwawa tower is situated in Gampola town in Kandy. This tower stands at the top of the mountain, with easy vehicle access (it's challenging for huge buses to reach the hill). Tower-made stairs to reach the top, but you will face the heavy wind in the middle of the tower, making it challenging to climb the stairs. The view was amazing. To see the whole picture, you need to reach the top. I went here to my university times, and that was a great experience.

One of the mostly visited tourist spot in Central part of the island. Located near Gampola town. Beautiful tower with a attractive structure. Visitors need to reach the top of the mountain before enter the tower base. You can reach that hill top 🔝 using hired three wheeler or any other mini vehicles. Ticket is needed to enter. Internal steps and external steps are used to hike the tower. Tower top is a wonderful spot for photography.

A must visit. Steep roads. Super low vehicles will not make it to the top. Road is good until the last 250ms, then it gets tricky. It was crowded today. Take care when climbing to the top!

Amazing place to see the town. Really nice view of around. Sometimes closing by mist. Inside of the tower very unclean. Lot of garbage inside. Need to clean organize nicely. Because foreigners not visit there for free. At least maintain it from the money.

Ambuluwawa is Sri Lanka's first multi-religious complex with a tower which is nearly 50 meters in height, situated in Gampola area.. Very famous among Sri Lankan young travelers and visiting tourists as well.. There's narrow staircase take you towards the sky.. You can take a look at the Gampola city and biodiversity filled nature from the top of the tower..

Ambuluwawa Tower in Sri Lanka is a magnificent structure that offers a breathtaking experience high above the surrounding landscapes. The tower, perched atop Ambuluwawa Hill, provides panoramic views of the lush greenery, rolling hills, and distant mountains. The architectural marvel of the tower itself, with its unique design and intricate details, adds to the allure of the destination. Climbing to the top is a memorable journey, and once there, you're rewarded with a bird's-eye view that stretches as far as the eye can see. The tranquil ambiance and fresh mountain air make it an ideal place to relax, take stunning photographs, or simply soak in the beauty of nature. Whether you're a nature lover, an adventure seeker, or a photography enthusiast, a visit to Ambuluwawa Tower is a must for an unforgettable experience in Sri Lanka.

Ticket counters open at 8.00am. Go there early morning. Then there will be less crowded. Rs.90 per adult. And have to get a ticket to the vehicle also. Little bit risky road to the top. Be careful. Parking available on top. Cars bikes vans came to the top. Some of the small buses also came to the top. But traveling to top is little bit challenging due to the steep slope. There are some three wheelers to hire from the bottom. Washrooms available. But not in good condition. Breathe taking views from the top of the tower. Can climb the tower with in 10-15 mins if there is less crowded.

Stars are solely for the mesmerizing view you get at the top of the tower. Useless place built using money that could have been used for something worth for people. You will be charged Rs.90 per person and Rs.200 per car. You can reach the top of the mountain by vehicles now. It is not much of a hard climb to the top of the tower. It is considered a religious place as it cannot be used for another purpose. Do not visit on public holidays because it will take hours to reach the top.

There is a little hike from the main gate to the bottom of the tower. You can hire a 3 wheeler as well. It is a breathtaking 360 view from the tower. Climbing to top is not hard. But do not visit here on public holidays, because of there are narrow staircases when reached to top, u will not able to reach to top with crowd

If you are afraid of heights this is not your spot I’m kidding its super safe but the stairs are a bit narrow when you go up and down but you can manage. Spectacular view, entrance price 1200 rupees. My recommendation if you don’t like to hike up the hill for 2.3 kilometers to take a tick tuck; you can bargain with the driver s usually they ask foreigners for a high price but you can negotiate the price. Don’t forget you can hike on your way down but its really steep.

Great attraction to visit when in Sri Lanka and you're in the area! The road to the top is very steep and I highly recommend leaving your rental vehicle down at the bottom and hiring a tuktuk to take you to the top! A TukTuk from the bottom to the top shouldn't cost you more than 1,000 rupees. The best time of the day to visit this tower is early morning before the crowds show up. Otherwise you might not be able to climb to the top!

In the complex of the ambuluwawa tower (the main attraction). I don't really understand why they call it a biodiversity center. It's more like a.milti religious center that promotes harmony between the 3 main religions , Christians Muslims and Buddhists. They built a small building for each, a small church a small mosque and in the center of the two, a small Buddhist temple. The park is very quiet, well kept, and it's a good place to relax from the stress of climbing the tower.

It is a safe and easy climb up there. But make sure you go on a sunny day. Somedays are misty covered the whole place with tight mist which we can't even see a single stair. This tower here represents the Buddhism, Islam,Hinduism and christianity of Sri Lanka. There is a temple, mosque,Kovil and church. The temple was dated back to 13th centuary. Build up by King Buwanekabahu the 4th. It is best to take a GoPro with you. But be safe up there. Cause the stair cases are really narrow. The scenario is amazing and Breathtaking ❤

Although the road is very well paved, the existing mountains give us a very difficult journey. Everyone worships, regardless of race or religion. Everyone must climb the tower in unity and solidarity. Avoid carrying unnecessary equipment and supplies, especially as many travelers travel. Avoid carrying items that are exposed to the wind due to high winds. It is a beautiful tour and will end after 0500 pm.

Incredible view , not for the faint of heart. Not particularly risky but when you have people climbing and descending a staircase that's about 1.5 feet wide in places it gets pretty inconvenient. I had to cross a few sections at the top sideways because it's really very narrow. Enjoyable even if you don't go all the way to the top, lower sections are easy for all to climb. Getting to the tower can also be slightly challenging unless you go there with a guide or driver, the hill is extremely steep and difficult to climb.

What a wicked experience, 1000rs to enter for tourists, I paid for my Sri lanken friend also but the police man got me a refund when he realised! Super nice of him to do that as locals do not pay entry. I went at midday and it was pretty busy and crammed on the stairway, with them being so narrow as you ascend, that’s expected, I’d recommend going early morning to miss the crowd. You can walk but I had a three wheeler to go up, it’s a long walk! Such a beautiful view from the top, there’s a smaller tower next to it and some religious monuments surrounding. If you’re scared of heights, this probably won’t be for you but if you go and decide not to climb the tower, it’s still a wicked view so if you’re in the Gampola area then I’d recommend it. From kandy, you can take a taxi/three wheeler or get the train to Gampola and get a taxi from there. On the way up there’s a vendor selling coconuts, fruit etc and there’s a shop at the bottom of the path that takes you to the tower. :)

Must visit place in Sri lanka. Entry is 1000 lkr. Bike fees is 50 lkr. You can easily climb the tower. Make sure your bike has good brakes as the road is curvy and uphill from the ticket counter to the tower so when you come downhill the brake pads need to be intact for safety purposes. Cash and card both are accepted

Best place, enjoy the day in Ambuluwawa Tower. If u would like to see the tower, please go to uncrowded time. If not, u can't enjoy the tower climb. There are time limitations to see that. Unfortunately we went before 5.00 pm. Please don't go for after 5.00 pm, ther are not give entry tickets.. also, u can use ur own vehicles to go to tower basement sight. That is recommended.

We visited the site by car and bought tickets for ourselves and the car. After traveling for about 200 meters, we parked the car by the curb and started walking. It was an excellent walk. Road was winding and, at times, climbing . We stopped at several places to catch the breath. Every now and then, you have to tell your legs that there is only a little more to go. If you are young, the walk is not that hard. Almost three fourth into the walk, you find a shop to quench your thirst and take a rest . Sweets and shorteats are available. You will find innocent and adorable monkeys waiting almost at your feet to get something from you. Once you reach the top, you see the tower that is visible from Gampola town. In the surrounding area, there are several constructions representing the three religions Buddism Hinduism and Islam. However, this is not a religious site. Once you enter the tower, you can climb up spirally . You can climb inside or outside the tower. By Inside you can go only up to a certain point. As you go up the place, the stairs get narrowed, and after a particular point, you have to move one after the other. Sometimes, you get stuck because the people on top do not move. Do not be selfish and get back as soon as possible since there are other visitors to see the place . Climb outside and feel the wind. It is an absolutely fantastic feeling. The view is enthralling, and you feel like staying there forever At the ground level , you can replenish your water stock and have a cool water drink. Walking back is much more difficult. Watch your steps, and otherwise, you may fall down.

Ambuluwawa Tower- - a must-visit place. Located at the top of the mountain. The views from the tower are amazing. Especially if it's morning. Mountains, clouds, rice fields and forest. And the rising sun. You can take beautiful photos and videos. It's better to come in the morning. But there are always a lot of people. There may be a queue to climb to the top of the tower. The steps are narrow, it will be difficult to disperse.

Ambuluwawa Tower is a unique tower located in the town of Gampola, Sri Lanka. It is a popular tourist attraction and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The tower is part of the Ambuluwawa Mountain, which is considered a sacred place by the local people. The tower was built in 2005 and stands at a height of 48 meters. It is made of a combination of steel, concrete, and granite and has a spiral staircase that visitors can climb to the top. At the top of the tower, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and tea plantations. There is also a viewing deck with binoculars that allows visitors to get a closer look at the scenery. The tower is surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden that features a variety of trees, plants, and flowers. There is also a small lake, a meditation center, and a children's playground. Ambuluwawa Tower is located about 5 km from the town of Gampola and can be easily reached by road. It is open to visitors every day from 7 am to 5 pm, and there is a small admission fee. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen and a hat, as the tower can be quite warm and sunny. Suggest you visit at least once!!

Ambuluwawa Temple is a beautiful location that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding areas. Upon climbing to the top of the building, visitors are treated to a panoramic view that showcases the natural beauty of the region. The location itself is quite nice, with well-maintained pathways leading up to the temple. However, one issue that needs to be addressed is the cleanliness of the building. Unfortunately, the building has not been cleaned properly, and dirt and debris are visible everywhere. The floors have not been wiped for an extended period of time, which has resulted in a layer of dust and grime accumulating. This detracts from the overall experience and can make the visit less enjoyable. Another area that requires improvement is the washrooms. They are not as clean as they could be, and visitors may find them to be less than satisfactory. It is important that the facilities are properly maintained and cleaned to ensure that visitors have a positive experience. In summary, Ambuluwawa Temple is a beautiful location that provides stunning views of the surrounding areas. While the location itself is nice, the cleanliness of the building and washrooms need to be improved. If these issues are addressed, it would make for a much more enjoyable experience for visitors.

Wow, what a awesome place to visit. We took a pickme tooktook from gambula for like 200r to the entrance, tickets are 600r per 1 adult. There’s a lot of tuktuk drivers offering drive to the top, but I think prices are a bit inflated. If you have some energy go up for about 15 minutes and you can probably catch tuktuk that are going down for 600r like we did. Main tower is awesome and the whole Territory got super chill vibes. We walked down from the exit a bit again, as we did at the entrance and actually got a free ride, pure luck I guess. P.s. we visited on Saturday at 9am and it was getting quite crowded, so beware. Also I advice but to go on foot from the entrance as the road gets really steep sometimes and iirc it will take you atleast an hour hiking.

Highly recommended. You can see a panaromic view of mountains. Not recommended for elders. You need to buy tickets and for local ticket price is Rs. 70. But for foreigners ticket price is bit higher than this. Better avoid weekends and public holidays. In addition check the weather also before visiting.

It is also known for its narrow spiral staircase which some visitors find challenging to climb. It is one of the coolest places to visit in Sri Lanka if you are up for the challenge. Ambuluwawa Mountain Ambuluwawa mountain peak has a height of 3567 feet above sea level. It is located over 1000 feet above from the Gampola Town. The tower is located on the summit of the mountain peak. Since there are no other mountains in the surrounding area and due to its unique location, Ambuluwawa Tower gets an undisturbed view from far away and vice versa. The tower is visible from Gampola Train Station. The 48 meters tall, cone-shaped tower houses the Stupa (Pagoda) of the Buddhist Temple. As you climb up, it has several viewing platforms for you to enjoy the stunning views. The staircase gets narrower as you go up. The spiral staircase will be a challenging one to climb if you are not comfortable with heights. Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Complex is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka. It was opened in 2009.
