It is a beautiful waterfall situated close to Walapane. You have to travel about 3 km uphill from Japanese Peace Pagoda in Walapane in a narrow winding road to reach this waterfall (ideally by a 4WD vehicle or by foot). At present, a small hydro power plant operates at the base of the waterfall. You cannot get a complete view of the waterfall from the base. The best view of the waterfall is from the nearby mountain which is situated towards the left side, where some travelers camp.

It has a breath taking view..hard to reach... It will be a peace of cake if you have A ATV/SUV OR A OFF ROAD BIKE...better come to this fall early morning.. You can see the sun rise beautifully.... And the good thing is that this water fall is not polluted from human hand.. Its better wee keep it that way...

Beautiful waterfall in walapane, much less crowded. But difficult to reach if you don't have an off road vehicle. Then you need to walk about 3km. But nice senaries around. A hydro electricity project near the waterfall has destroyed this untouched beauty.

Kurundu Oya Ella Fall is the highest waterfall in the Nuwara Eliya district and the highest waterfall which falls on to the Mahaweli River. The waterfall is situated about 100 meters down a tea plantation, a route which needs to be taken by foot. Difficult to reach the place. Second highest waterfall in Srilanka. Amazing place. Drones are better for photos.

The path to the falls was a tough one to go. But managed to get to see the falls. Its very beautiful and not recommend to go in rainy season because the path is very narrow and slippery in sunny climate too. Water speed was bit too high than others falls, so not recommend to bath too.
