This place is the enternce way to Kandy and the way is used only buy tuk tuk and car not big vehicles can be used. Many people stop to take rest and pics over here . Tourist bus stop here and take pics but they will come in turn. You will miss this if you go buy train.

This is a natural place where we can reach by upcountry railway line between Kadugannawa and Balana station. It's called lion's mouth. If you want to enjoy this admirable place, you have to come from kadugannawa by foot.

Entrance to the Sigyria Palace. Very nice place. Took 2 hours from the ticket place to the top and back. Visit in the morning when its cooler. Due to the Easter incidents, there are very little tourists. Very nice view from the top.

Nice place to take a view of nature. The particular location located on the railways root. We can't go to this place by any vehicles. The only way is to walk along with the railway truck from kadukanwawa railway station. Its around 1km far way from kadukannawa railway station. On the top there 3 railway tunnel including Lion's mouth. Beware all the time about the train. Better check the train time schedule.

A very beautiful place. The scenery was breathtaking. It was a foggy day and the train went through the rock and it was gorgeous. Really loved the experience.

Lion's Mouth is an important landmark close to Kadugannawa in the main railway line. This is located between Balana & Kadugannawa Railway Stations. It is a place where a rock-cut is made to pave way for railway track by leaving out the parts of the rock above, so that it looks as that of a lion's mouth. Travelers are not advised to walk down to the lion's mouth by foot as it is dangerous.

Such a beautiful place on sri lankan railways. It shows how it was difficult to buit a railway through the mountains.
