A really nice experience! The show is a little more than a hour long, performed daily, which includes 12 short dances, a break at the middle and a short fire walking demonstration. The hall itself can house way more than what I think their daily crowd is, so you'll probably have some really nice seats. You should get there beforehand though, if you want to get some snacks and drinks (the moment you'll sit they will offer you the menu). The show itself is lovely and serves a nice break from all the hiking. We got a little tip - after the show, hurry to the tooth temple, because at 18:30 there are having one of their ceremonies.

The show has been amazing! The dancers perform for almost 1 hour non stop. And at the end they dance with fire. Most of the dances can be linked to what you will see in Museums or Temes, since it has to do with culture, religion, harvest season etc. The place is very nice and its staff also very attentive. The toilets are extremely clean and they look quite new. They started at 17.30 but if you get there one hiur earlier you can sit on the first row.

When in Kandy: go to the Cutural Dance Show at the Kandy Lake Club! Itโ€™s amazing. As a matter of fact: I went to all the cultural dance shows in Kandy, but no other show can beat this one! This is absolute the best performance, because of the great and enthusiastic dancers, the colourful decor and lights and wonderful theatre!

We have spent a great afternoon in Kandy Lake Club. The performance was stunning and worth every money we spent. On the way to the show a lot of people wanted us to go to other place (near lake) - do not listen to them. Write to the Kandy Lake Club and they will give you the right location.

The show was amazing!!! It was definitely worth to climb the hill to see IT. Donโ€™t listen to the guys who are saying that Kandy Lake Club not exist or there is no show at 17.30 and you should go to another Sri kandyan cultural show!

Attended a local dance show which was full with tourists. Quite interesting, but not spectacular, also a heavy push for tips, so much so that they almost block the exit with a tip box. Just okโ€ฆ

The show was well done, we received a document explaining each of the dances which was helpful. The background music/singing was a bit difficult to hear. We tried to book tickets on their website beforehand but it wouldn't work and their phone number didn't work either. We arrived early to get good seats but were disappointed to see that people continued to get ushered in well after the show had started. We ended up having 2 tourists directly in front of us holding up their phones above their head recording the whole show. The ushers that were everywhere should have intervened. Overall, an average experience- good to see, but not exceptional.

Our driver took us there, we believed him because he was very nice. But, when we saw the absolute exaggerated prices, we decided not to see the . Then we were about to drive away, the parking guy, stopped us and asked our driver why weโ€˜re leaving. Then he took out his phone and called his boss and gave the phone to our driver, who explained why we want to leave. Then our driver hands us (to my husband) the phone and the guy on the phone had the absolute AUDACITY of asking WHY we donโ€˜t want to pay for the show. What kind of thing is that? If we decide 3500 LKR (per person) is too much and we donโ€˜t want to do it- thatโ€˜s it. It leaves a very bad impression and thatโ€˜s what this NOT recommendation is for. Also everything there look like a big scam. Even if the show may be nice- I donโ€˜t know that.

Tourist trap. Literally every tuk-tuk driver and hotel owner in Kandy wants to get you here, of course theyโ€™ll get the Sri Lankan special - commission. I read that the dances are poor (people have no idea what are they doing) and after the show they come at you asking for tips.

Very entertaining dance show, really love the costumes and very impressive with some of the acrobatics. The dancers looked very smiley and were very good. At the end there were fire walking as well which was impressive. The drinks were a bit over priced.

Great Dancer with both male and female Dancer. Do read the story line to understand their performance. 45 mins performance with lots of action from the dancer. It will ends with fire performances by rubbing the fire on their body , โ€˜eatingโ€™ the fire and running across the burning Charcoal with fire ! If you do visit Kandy, do go and watch it . You may need to get local agent to purchase the ticket ahead !

Very interesting cultural show with different types of dances depicting the life of the people and animal too. Some are like acrobatic dance with amazing music from something that looks like a drum. Very entertaining. It's a one hour show. Place is packed with tourist.

Loved this show. Its about an hour long and consists of around 10 different dance forms of Sri Lanka.Tickers can be booked at the venue a little before 5 pm.

Too long and boring.. mainly because most dancers were not good enough!!!! I really felt in a touristic trap! However, very nice costumes! In only 8 days of tours, it is not worthy! Better to have a walk around the lake and maybe at the sunset!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Traditional dance of Sri Lanka. The show was filled with drum beats, flips; the fire breathing & walking on the coal bed made me literally hold my breath. Definitely visit when in Kandy and don't shy away from the first row of seats for a good view.
