Great and professional government funded tourists information, friendly unbiased staff with wide knowledge about all of Sri Lanka. Too bad not many people know place, I highly recommend it for tourists seeking information about Kandy and Sri Lanka.

Highly recommended place to get lots of information, this place is the best one we visited for information in Sri Lanka by far. I have high respect for the people working there, they take the time you will not leave unsatisfied.

Rodney is nice and helpful guy. He knows really well his country. He gives us the informations we wants and more. In addition to that he invites us to eat cake for the new year at the tourist police station just near to the tourism center. Good time!

Professional and great staff to help you get around in Kandy and find places to visit!! It’s a Goverment funded tourist board!! They give you a map of places to go and also explains to you about it. And get hotel reviews and pricing. Very helpful!!

I was in Kandy and just dropped into this office for quick look. Spoke with Dinusha, the Tourist Information Officer. She was super helpful and easy to talk to. She organized a day trip to Sigiriya with Majula (driver). He was super professional and very helpful. He even gave me advice on my onwards travel and how to make the most of my time. I wound up going to Ella from Kandy and Manju drove me. Along the way we stopped by various tea plantations, free growing spice plants along the side of the road and saw some beautiful waterfalls and valleys. The prices were very fair and both Dinusha and Manju went above and beyond in their service. If you're in Kandy, I would highly recommend to drop by the office.

Incredibly unhelpful people. Instead of supplying basic information, they actually insulted us and laughed at us (ie, asking about bus schedules, locations). Wow, avoid.

Came here during the second day of curfew. Hadn’t eaten the day before and was hungry and fed up. The place was being run by police and not only did they help explain the situation to me and talk me through my options but they really kindly shared some food with me! A really kind gesture that restored my faith in the Sri Lankan authorities! Thank you!
