we’ve lost our 2 beloved pets because of their carelessness and wrong diagnosis . never ever recommend for anyone.. plz share this and inform others not to take their beloved pets to this place. those veterinary trainee students are acting like they are superior but they have nothing nothing.. they play with our beloved pets. they do not want to save our pets, just only they want to learn and do experiments from our beloved innocents’ lives .. 🤬

It's time we pet owners open up a separate fb page for all the dear pets that had died here in this facility. I lived near this place for a long time and I know how much negligence is going on there. My beautiful boxer died here, thanks to the staff. These fresh doctors hate pets and pet owners as they come through those doors. They hate their job. I really don't understand why bother becoming vets at all. Please do your pet a favour, and take it to gatambe Government Veterinary hospital.

Not the very best place if your pet get sick. Would recommend for other health options for your pet like getting an injection but not or never admit your pet to this hospital the last time i visited was to see my poor little dotty(a Dalmatian) dying a horrible death with tick fever. They said they’ll take care of him. Very disappointing thing is that they kept every sick animal in one room which is a very risky.

Never bring your pet to this irresponsible place as my friend’s Shih-tsu puppy was killed by these trainee doctors just after an operation in an eye. He had no other disease at all. If they do these kind of silly mistakes, how can we bring them for other operations or disease? That puppy might be just one animal for them, but he is the whole world for the owner. So never bring your loving puppy for this place.

Poor diogenes and negligence. I lost my 3 kittens because of their stupidity. Most of the time they priscribe medicine even without checking the animal propaly. If you love your pet please dont go to this hell hole.

Irresponsible unscrupulous trainee staff killed my beloved kitty with her kittens in her womb. They don’t care or treat pets. They do not have a clue what they are doing. Just practicing and hurting innocent animals. No empathy at all. Never go to this place👎. Worst experience ever.

This team killed my sister’s puppy. Shame on you. This team use our pets for their practices. Lack of knowledge and practice. This is very painful that they played with our beloved dog. Don’t go to them. NOT RECOMMENDED ❌

I went there to show my cat who was very sick, they did not check her at all, asked me to open the cats mouth and just assumed that my cat must be having some wounds in her mouth as her mouth was stinking and gave her saline and prescribed some antibiotics. I think there should be a proper doctor to examine the animals that are brought there, not only the training staff who seems to be very reluctant to really check the animals.

The trainee doctors doesn’t have experience to identify threats levels, my Labrador just died, they did all the scans+xrays ++, but first aid was not there, asked to come after a week. A day after (today) he died. Spent nearly Rs5000 for all those scans and all. truely regret now I should have gone to a private clinic.

You take ur loving pet to a vet to heal the animal. But when there are unscrupulous doctors, you can't do that.. So search carefully and go here.. If you happen to take it, take good care of the animal.. #not_recommend

Lost 2 stars because of a stupid woman at the front desk who refused to allow me in without an appointment when my cat was suffering (was an emergency). Thankfully a doctor acknowledged the problem and took care of the problem! The doctors and the nurses were very kind and helpful.

I recently had a truly remarkable experience with the Teaching Vet Hospital at Peradeniya University. My beloved dog was suffering from an airway obstruction and fluid buildup in her lungs. After consulting multiple private hospitals, which unfortunately provided incorrect diagnoses and declined the chance of recovery, we turned to the VTH as a last resort. It turned out to be the best decision we made for our furry companion. Upon arriving at the VTH, the staff acted swiftly and with utmost professionalism. Without any delay, they rushed my dog to the ICU and immediately commenced the necessary treatments. Despite it being late in the day, I was amazed to see a team of five or six dedicated training doctors accompanied by two experienced doctors (whom I believe were the demonstrators) working tirelessly for five consecutive hours. Their commitment to saving lives was truly inspiring. What struck me the most was the kindness and compassion displayed by the training doctors. I witnessed firsthand how they cared for other animals with a level of tenderness akin to a mother caring for her newborn child. It was evident that their hearts were genuinely invested in their work. They not only treated their patients professionally but also provided a calm and reassuring environment, putting both the animals and their owners at ease. As a professional biotechnologist, I understand the challenges and dedication required to maintain high standards of work. The Teaching Vet Hospital at Peradeniya University surpassed all my expectations. The care they provided to my dog, and the evident care they extend to all their patients, is commendable. I highly appreciate and wholeheartedly recommend this hospital as the best veterinary facility in Sri Lanka. Even medical doctors could learn from their exemplary approach to patient care, emphasizing the importance of treating patients with love and compassion. To the entire team at the Teaching Vet Hospital, thank you for your unwavering dedication and exceptional expertise. You truly made a difference in the life of my cherished pet. Additional info :- The treatment fees are very reasonable and I would say it is cheap. They have a pharmacy, a lab facility, radiology facility and almost all modern hospital facilities.

We often take our pets here. They take good care if them. Payments are very low. Today we took one our dogs and the intern Dr. Miss Keerththna took very good care of the dog. She is a very kind person. She was very apologetic that she couldn't speak sinhala fluently. She is smart soon she will master that too.

A good diagnosis takes good care of your pet and prescribes medication..👍👍

The great staff here saved my dog ​​who fell from a height of 25 feet and was unable to walk or stand. From the petty worker to the director, everyone is humble. In my opinion this is the best veterinary hospital in Central Province.

Not recommended at all. They killed my shihtzu puppy. They don't have enough practice and knowledge. They usings our pets as toys to get their education. What a disgusting place. That's a shame that your team don't have hearts. My pup only had operation in his eye. Very healthy dog. They gave too much anesthesia and It caused him very painful death. Please don't go there they will kill your pets 😭
