Pros: Lovely view of Kandy and the surrounding mountains from here. Quiet, save for the occasional dogs serenading on the road. It's on a small hill, so if you're carrying big bags, recommend coming in a tuk.. Close to the city, but away from the loud noises of the city. Sunsets are quite nice over the balconies..The staff keep the place very clean overall and very attentive so I appreciate their effort very much. Cons: Room lacked ventilation as the windows could be barely opened which was a pity because the outside air is so crisp and nice. Bathroom had no windows, so again stuffy. Bed was comfortable. The room was cheap though around 3k per night. Food is nice.

Average place. The room I stayed had an odd and bad smell which was not bearable sometimes. breakfast was okay but the dhal curry is just like water. So we switched the place to another named "Hotel Panorama" owned by the same owner. Later after one week: if u add a truthful but a bad review u r not welcome there anymore. the owner would not even answer ur calls.. I may call that behavior as childish.. if u r running a business u should have mind to accept all the criticisms. 🤷

It has beautiful views of the Kandy town. It was clean, The AC was great. The bed was so comfortable! there was a balcony. The balcony was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful always.

Do you need a comfortable place to stay with low budget in Kandy ? Your choice should be "Mount Palace". You can reach easily through Hanthana road. This place situated in clam location with rich viewing area. Rooms are very clear and comfortable. AC rooms are also available with hot water facility. There is some small parking area. However you can take taxi, like 'Pick-me', 'Uber' and metered taxi service to reach this place. You can access the rich customer lobby with friendly customer service. Due to the Covid 19 world pandemic situation, some services are limited. However the overall is extremely excellent.

Great view in Upstair Balcony... Bahirawakanda and whole Kandy you can see at once.. At night itz so beautiful. But food and drinks so expensive. Itz too much for locals. Good workers there, very helpful for us.

I visited for the second time. I will prefer my first visit was better. Staff changed but rooms are very clean and tidy. Lovely environment. Food is good. Please provide good customer care trainings. Altogether good.

Breathtaking view from mountain view rooms, specially at night. Rooms are spacious. TV facilities available. Hence the hotel locates far from Kandy city the environment was calm and refreshing. Uber and pickme food facilities can reach this place. Food served was really delicious. The stay was worth for money.

They canceled booking in the day of arrival. Had it booked within a month, and just because they couldn't reach me they decided to mess up a holiday for a family with a small child.

Good place to stay. A friendly staff that you can assist and a tasty breakfast. Room is good. But please alert the staff when you are using the hand shower with hot water (its really slow)

My experience at the Mount Palace Hotel was deeply disappointing. Horrible customer service, they Doesn’t have basic business knowledge at all. For any business their customers are key pick me riders do not like to give a ride since the Road is under construction. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful accommodation with great view. For transport you will need Tuk Tuk or taxi, because its not so far from city centre, but the hill is really very high 😁
