If you're going there at night it's more like a pub. If you're not the kind of person who would enjoy the entire place filled with smoke and people dancing after consuming alcohol it's not the place for you. It gave more like a nightclub vibe. The food was ok. Had a chicken burger cuz we were told everything else takes a lot of time. & the burger was ok. Have limited parking space but they showed us a place to park our vehicle.

I loved it’s amenities and vibe. Music with a chill beer and good food. Also the one with wet nose is bruno (labrador). Everyone’s fav is it. Have enough space for seating. Also a private area where you can celebrate a birthday, small gathering etc with pre reservations I guess. Crew is fast and friendly. They serve liquor and beer in a flash as soon ad we ordered. Owner is friendly. Kade paan with beef is great. Some foods need to be improve such as kottu, french fries

Cool place. Been wanting to go there over a few recommendations but it accidentally happened yesterday with the best company ever. Thank you Pubba! Pork and roast bread. Just wow! That was the dish we had and it was nicely presented in the most Sri Lankan way ever. The taste wasn't any second to that. So so good. Just after finishing the plate I saw the "today's special" . But we were so full. Couldn't think of it for the same day. Next up tho, me and my person, we decided we do the seamed rice and polsambol. It's nothing crazy but it's always crazy. We wanna see how they do it. 😭😭 Thanks cocoba. Made our day with a heart filling meal. ❤️

Close to kandy town. Went there around 11.30am. just after open. They got cocktails, local alcohol, beer 🍺. Also got a range of bites of seafood, beef pork, chicken veg. They got insite supervisor Labrador dog. Dog very friendly 😊, once you go there he comes close and keeps his head in ur lap to pet. Got the cocktail but it was below average. Cocktails need to be more attractive. The food was good. Although I am happy with the services and food. I hope to go there again. Another thing very peaceful environment and good place hangout with love one and friends

One of the best pubs in town. The place is located around 2km drive and 1km from center of the town. The prices are reasonable and you can experience some good food. They have got a seafood bucket and if you are a seafood fan, this is a must try for sure. On Friday's and Saturday's you'll get a chance to enjoy some live music as well. The staff is friendly and will be there to serve you when needed.

Ordered only a chicken cheese kottu and their special drink for the day. The food is very delicious and the beverage is also good. The best thing is they are having a cute Golden retriever who welcomes guests there.

Look at the attached photo. This is what the chicken salad looks like in reality. It's totally different from that one you will find in the menu. Bcz it was added from Google as the staff honestly told us. Dirty toilet, no paper, no soap.

Chilly restaurant with good food. Just didn’t like the salt and pepper on the fruit plate. Interesting but not so super tasty on melon and papaya. Nice staff. One star less just because of the too high prices for the „special cocktails“. 1.300 lkr for a 0.3L drink is just too much. Especially when we ask about the size before and they agree when we ask if it’s big like half a liter.

Nice place to have a drink or just to dine in. All most all the prices are reasonable and affordable. Food and the mocktail we ordered was tasty and garnished well. The DJ did an amazing job to keep everyone entertained. There was a friendly Golden Retriever named Bruno and he’s super cute. The place was cleaned and decorated nicely. Parking was available but they don’t accept card payments. Staff members are friendly and welcoming. Overall a very positive experience.

Had a delightful experience at Cocoba Pub and Restaurant near Kandy. The atmosphere is both nice and calm. Tried their Virgin and Apple-flavored Mojito – excellent choice! The Beef Kottu was superb. They offer a variety of options, including beer and alcoholic cocktails. Highly recommend for a relaxing evening

Amazing seafood basket! Small one is enough for two persons. Leave crabs for latter and eat other sea creatures first, because crabs are still tasty if cold, but octopuses are good only while hot. Beware of monkeys, they occasionally may try to steal your food:) But it's quite an experience 😁, as they are quite careful even though impudent. Also there is an amazing golden retriever! He is so good boy! Very cuddly and nice:)

Horrible horrible horrible! Our evening was a nightmare, the service, food and welcome were miserable! When we went to this kind of establishment we were expecting something that lived up to the reputation of the area, but we found ourselves faced with a dreadful establishment. I wouldn't recommend this place

We went for dinner, we had curry and rice (vegetarian option) and vegetable kottu. All was around 2000 ruppes. The place is really beautiful and really nice decoration. But personally the music that it was being play was a bit too much for the mood that I was looking for- new style of rap/trap for young people (Western style music). As well, is a cocktail place, so makes sense this environment.

My experience at COCOBA was wonderful, their menu catered to everyone's taste and the service was friendly. I had a Chicken Kottu which was presented really well and professional. I recommend going here for a relax and all rounded experience.

We went there on a rainy evening, so the place was pretty quiet. Prices are pretty reasonable I think. The online ordering app is user friendly, but the staff should probably have the common sense to wait till one is done with dinner before serving the ice cream 😄

The food here was really good! Definitely better than the average eatery in the area and worth making the trip to get there. Also, they sell wine by the glass which is unusual in Ella.

It’s a pub, but a restaurant I mean, they have food but “pub food”. Instead they have laud (International) music and good vibes! So if you are looking for a nice dinner better definitely to skip Cocoba, if you want some party it could be a good option :) I had fish & chips. Bad idea: small ( I had to ask for the menu again to pick up something else but it never arrived), not tasty and with a really bad sauce. They don’t have even desserts. Obviously nice people, as always in this amazing country :)

Funny owner’s dog, decent atmosphere… and that’s it. The food is awful, mutton curry with bread (sic) is just a mess with bones and non-chewable poor bites. We asked for non-spicy beef curry - we got it quite spicy. For 1000+ rupies we expected much more. Kindly avoid the place. P.s. Coconut starter they brought with curry was a light in the darkness, along with coctails.

Could have been a good experience as I like the atmosphere there, music and was great to play with their beautiful dog. Hovewer, the food I ordered was dissapointment: 1. Ordered a vegetable salad, but was brought chicken salad with a big and sharp bone inside. 2. Ordered chicken kottu and found another bone inside, so I stopped eating that meal although wasn’t full yet. I could have ordered something different and leave the place with different mood, but the other food didn’t really attract me. For such a lovely place the food choice could have elected better. I guess a modern healthy cuisine would match this restaurant more.

This place deserves more attention. Awesome spot (tucked away and cozy), good food, good drinks, good prices, and the owners are great people.

A hidden little joint, overshadowed by a more western bar next door. But so lovely, great space, showing cricket and other sports. I was the only woman in there (travelling alone) but the staff were so kind, respectful and helpful. Really great vibes and cute little spot.

Nice restaurant 😊 , kind of hidden but it's nice once you get there . 2 young gents running the place. Mostly for backpackers. But food is good , cocktails are nice , meat is fresh 😊, good for group gatherings 👍

We were having a good time and all but when the bill came the prices of the food was not what was on the menu.. it was double. I was like ok cuz we were having a good time and all but later on to find out this is what they do. They display the pricing on the big chalk board in front but they charge a different amount later on. Very disappointed.
