Good place to enjoy the river. It's a regular bathing place for the licals and tourists also visit there as groups. It's important to have a common knowledge recognize where to step and where to not. There are few locations to enter to the river. But, it's always better to stay away from muddy bottoms. Few vehicles can be parked along the road. There was a small shop nearby with some snacks, didn't try. Overall, it's not a place to visit with high expectations from far away distances.

Situated in the Rural part near the Manikhinna, Sri Lanka. Very Beautiful place. People come hear to enjoy the nature & also famous natural bathing place. It’s bit far from the Kandy, but roads are nice. Public transport are available, but it’s easy to travel with your own vehicle. People in this area live with the nature without destroying it. But outsiders came here started to ruin this environment. Plastic & Polytene is the main problem. People bring Shampoo bottle & Small shampoo packet with them & disposal in the river area. It’s a bug problem. So if you visit here please don’t do that kind of stupid things. Protect environment.

Very nice place to enjoy the river. Its call HULU GANGA. Locals and tourists are visit there as groups. Kids can enjoy it a lot. There are few locations to enter to the river. Vehicles can be parked along the road. Overall, a good place to relax. But the weekend was fully crowded on sunny days. The road is carpet and can go by any car. Around 7km from Menikhinna town.

Had a great experience in these hottest days.Great place to cool down your body these days. The water is cristal clear. It does not matter weekday or weekend, the same crowd there as always. But the place is not dirty. No garbage. Situated middle of a beautiful villege. Seems like the drought does not effect this place. The river is not even dried. Real fortunate for the people who live here. The road is really good to reach the place. Not very far from Kandy down. Little distance from manikhinna town. Away from the crowdy town this is a great spot to calm yourself down. The best time to go there is evening. Around 5. So the evening sun doesn't burn you much. Cause water also super comfort. Plenty of parking space available so you do not have to bother. Plenty of space availabke for bath. So no need to rush to find a place. Can visit with you kids and loved ones. Place is safety & kids friendly.. ❤😍🇱🇰

This is a beautiful environment. Do not dispose of polythene or plastic casually when visiting. Take it back. Please save this river. This is a fiery water system that feeds Victoria Reservoir.

The water is crystal clear and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a refreshing swim on a hot summer day. The river is surrounded by an abundance of paddy field , providing a picturesque backdrop that will leave you in awe. The area is also very safe and secure. The sad thing is that the river is littered by the visitors everyday and no garbage bin is available. You can see from shampoo bottles to soap covers of all varieties . Dear fellows , please be kind and responsible to the environment and do not use soap here. Overall, I would highly recommend this river to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating outdoor experience. You won't be disappointed.

This is a ideal bathing place in Kandy and very easy to find. This is located in Narampanawa Village. Kinda crowded during holidays but you will able to find a good place to have a bath.

Best place for bathing. Nice view. Shallow water. Cool and clean places. Try at weekdays. If not this is a little bit crowded. Located in real village area♥️

Naranpanawa srilanka is a very calm place. a lovely village and best place to bath.. if you come mathale come and see this place but don't put your garbage here.. My overall rating 8/10🌟

Beautiful place for a river bath. Get an advice from a villager before getting in to the river since some places are very deep. Recommended to visit during week days.

Unfortunately water level was high on thay day we visited, you can go near the bathing place with your vehicle

Its beautiful !!! If you are not used to walking in rocks buy water shoes because at the end of the day the feet are sore from the sand inside the river, oh and watch out for snakes lol

Nice place to have a Free bath in the nature water flaw. Easily reachable via vehicle. The road is not so broad. No other facilities. There are better places i jave been to.

Excellent place for a swim in the river (Hulu ganga). Nice soft sand at the bottom and some rocks but no mud.
