We came for a function there was a table has broken . After that they blaming the people who are came for the music . We called police also . They said like hotel is our property we agreed that not our property but remember if they are in hotel field they should know how treat a guest.at last we have paid half . The management and the staff is really helpful and friendly. We held our cousin’s wedding. Hall is pretty cool and nicely arranged. Good for outdoor shoots as well. Situated in a calm area avoiding traffic and city noise.

Best place in Matale city. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is an attractive environment. However, there is a less number of staff as I feel. Therefore, there are delays in some of the processes. Foods are Ok but there is no much variety

BAD BAD BAD . In my close relative's wedding day I had a bad experience.. The wedding hall was the separate Hall beside the Main Hotel. The people who manage the kitchen can be say thieves. Why.. Main issue was our plate count and their plate counts. Argue badly with us.. Then they ask to pay more plates more than we ordered.. But not exceeded the ordered quantity.. We count it by cake count..We issue cakes more than one for children also..Even though Final count was less than ordered plate quantity..But they try to say it is wrong. Also At last the ceremony, kitchen person who wearing a tie, took 2 cakes and hide in his pocket without seeing anybody..But my cousin saw that.. and about 20 cakes are lost at the end of the ceremony just after leaving out crowd. So I never recommend this place to weddings..

The grand mountain hotel has the most breathtaking views and the views of the mountain range and the skyline is to die for.and the hotel has luxurios rooms and delicious and epic buffets and foods.. The service was great and responsive.. And if your craving a sweat or swim the pool and the gym is also great.. All in all the place is great for a stay alone or to enjoy with your family.. To conclude this trip was for the books..

I would give this a three star only because my kids enjoyed the hotel grounds and the play area was clean other than that the services really could use some improvement .. we were just escorted into our room within 5 mins of our arrival without a briefing of any sort. When we got to the room we got to know the phone was not working and they dont have room service. The room was clean and the view was great but it had really tacky furniture.. the hotel staff was friendly but really need to improve on the customer service aspect.

We visited this place on a weekday and found it to have a peaceful environment. For those looking to spend a day here, the day-out package offers great value for money, as the hotel provides all necessary facilities. Additionally, there is a small outdoor volleyball/badminton court and a dedicated kids play area. The staff service was commendable, showing attentiveness and promptness throughout our stay. Lastly, we kindly request the management to switch on the outdoor lights by 6 pm for the convenience of guests.

Property is very nicely done with a very high investment. Peaceful place. But service level is very poor. There is no connectivity within the teams and I feel that we have come to stay there to disturb their peaceful life. Lot to improve in terms of servicing customers. Had to follow up 3 times to make the room. I stayed two nights (Saturday night and Sunday night) first night there were some reasonable number of guests. Sunday night it was only us for 80 room property. That may be one reason. Anyway overall can not recommend if you are not coming as a large group.

Hi everyone, I got my wedding in this hotel 04/05/2022 and this is biggest mistake I have ever done. Poor management, and so many mistakes. Dishes containers and glasses were not clean even in basic level ( our home cleaning stuffs better than this). Also, they show me the bill with wrong calculations and after showing all mistakes they just apologised and corrected it. Also, they have taken money from my parents for the working crew. This kind of mistakes had happened already in my friend’s wedding as well. My advice is don’t ruin your special day at this kind of place. Thanks.

A well maintained luxury hotel in Matale. Newly built. But the services are not up to the level expected!!!The buffet is really bad. & most of the time guests were waiting till the buffet is re arranged. They have included recreational activities such as horse riding, water fountain but they don't have any horses now, & they says that they don't on the water fountain unless they have any weddings or pre shoots. Quite a beautiful hotel facing knuckles mountains or some mountain range. To the rooms we stayed view of a water stream which was so refreshing too. Staff is so helpful specially F & B Manager in front desk Mr Mohannath was extraordinary supportive & efficiently serving the guests. He very welcoming and taking care of guests needs. Specious and clean rooms with all amenties. Room service and restaurant staff excellent. Food is amazingly great. Very yummy very fresh and always new dishes on buffet. It is a family friendly hotel with a beautifully lawn garden and kids play area, large swimming pool. due to covid the sauna area and gym were closed but could see they were well equipped too. A great stay!

One would think 'a Chinese hotel'. In every aspect a 'mountain'. Big is the word. Everything is there. Rather luxurious. But everything in a 'vintage', fifties style with some peculiar style elements. Large rooms, good beds, excellent amenities, friendly and helpful personnel. The restaurant serves excellent food.

Facilities were nice and well presented. Good views throughout the hotel and the grounds are expansive with many features. Nice big swimming pool too. The service however was not so good. It's like they didn't care about hotel guests and put more focus on events. There is room for improvement.

A large hotel very close to the Matale town. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel is surrounded by lush garden area with a huge pool and children's park. Hotel indoor and outdoor has used peculiar tile designs that looks bit artificial. Food was amazing, breakfast and dinner buffet had lots of varieties mix of Sri Lankan, Indian and Chinese cuisines. Front office needs to be bit improved to be more friendly and pleasant to the guests. (Visited Apr 2021)

The location of the hotel is very convenient. Very close to Matale town. A lovely open play area is available in the hotel. There is an area for kids to play safely. Two swimming pools are available for kids and adults. The rooms are a bit congested but comfortable. The bathrooms are cleaned. Meals are fine, but during the crowded days, restaurant staff can't manage the service and no sufficiant table for all the guest at once. The front office and housekeeping staff are very friendly and supportive.
