This place is well known for a natural pool but the pool but I feel this place is overrated. Just down a bridge u find it and not much deeper or u cannot swim a longer distance. You got to have drive too far from the nearest city. I recommend this place only for the scenic views you get to see on your drive. You can book your villas for a stay here and u can find many other pools too. Recently a water park business is being built in this place so I hope the place will be much interesting and attract more tourists.

A pretty beautiful place. Easily accessible via main road. You can have a safe bath on one side while ither side is dangerous as it is 30ft deep. Villagers says many people drowned. There is another safe place on the top of the main pool.

🆁︎🅰︎🅽︎🅶︎🅰︎🅻︎🅰︎ 🅽︎🅰︎🆃︎🆄︎🆁︎🅰︎🅻︎ 🅿︎🅾︎🅾︎🅻︎ Distance from Kandy – 42.2 km (1 hour 23 minutes) Rangala Natural Pool is a beautiful natural situated in Rangala in the central province of Sri Lanka. The village of Rangala is situated approximately 15 km off Teldeniya. Although this natural pool looks inviting with its crystal clear water, it has a depth of over 30 feet which makes it a dangerous pool to swim in. The location of the Rangala Natural Pool is marked by a small bridge over the Kotaganga, originating from the Knuckles Mountain Range and the pool can be seen above the bridge.

A bit overrated. Famous for the pictures. It's a pool of water that has a colour gradient. Not recommended to swim or bath as the pool is deep. There are few nice spots to bath below the pool and also above the pool. Ask the locals to show the footpath to the bathing spot above the pool. Best access road from Kandy is via Teldeniya - Rangala road. Can also be accessed via Panwila-Gomara-Rangala riad but the Gomara - Rangala road is not in the best condition for a car.

Rangala nature pool is very attractive location in Sri Lanka but very dangerous. The darker the water deeper the pool and lot of deaths has been happened here due to this dangerous deep. The sands are not stable and sudden collapse can be happened inside the nature pool. I really not recommend to bath in the nature pool but you can climb bit upstreams and there you are amazing and safe bathing and to enjoy the momentums.

I went this place on a weekend. This pool is very beautiful than the photos. The greenish yellow seems like a natural painting. But the depth is too high and its around 18 feet. Its very dangerous one who doesn’t know the swimming. Be careful while swimming there. There is a shop near to this pool,

This is a beautiful pond which is situated in rangala. Reaching the place is too easy for any kind of vehicle ( Bike , Car , Van and even Bus). The pinned location is correct. Be careful. If you are not familiar to this place or drunken , I strongly suggest not to swim foo far. Because the deep is almost closed to 30m.

2021 August 10 came to this place. There was a big notice about ban bathing. Better call the Rangala police station before coming. But there is a good place little up in the stream. It's almost 5 foot depth. Need careful.

Natural Beauty At its Best! This is a quite large and deep pool created by creek starting from knuckles mountain range. Most of the time this seems flooded due to rains in the area but in around august, you can even have a bath down the creeck. Pool gets deeper and deeper to a whopping 30fts as it is mentioned by the road. So many deaths due to drowning. You can have a safe bath down the creek in this freaking cold water. But you have to be careful as it gets flooded within seconds due to rains in upper part of the creek. Floods look so scary and dreadful. There is a fall before the pool and due to heavy water loads pool has got carved deep.

A very beautiful pool. Located in the middle of a village full of beautiful tea plantations. Diving and swimming at this location are very risky, so caution is important.

A beautiful natural pool. Filled with clean water. This is a very deep place. So, swimming is very dangerous.

Good location to take a natural bath. This place has several locations to bathe. Which have low and high deeps. Please be careful when taking a bath or swimming because the pool has a deep end depth of 18 feet. Also the deep end has whirlpools. The vehicle can park safely on the side of the road. Don't visit in the rain season. No life guard and cleaner so be careful and don't dirt the place.

Although it is so attractive and very beautiful place near to theldeniya. Surrounded by knuckles mountain range. 16km ride from theldeniya town.. Pinned location is correct. Easily can reach to this place by a vehicle. The pool is more than 30ft deep and a number of deaths have been recorded after this place became popular in social media. As such it is extremely advisable to avoid bathing in the deeper part of the pool. But some places have to bath like small pools. There have a sign board of instruction to visitors. Please follow that instructions.

This picturesque location became popular over the social media from 2017 onwards. The water body is crystal clear and it is a great place to take colorful photographs.   A lot of local travelers attract to this location as the breathtaking photographs shared in social media. It is in the Rangala village which is about 20km away from the Theldeniya town and about 42km away from the Kandy City. The pool is a part of the Kotaganga Stream, and that can also be viewed from the Kotaganga bridge

Breathtakingly beautiful, make sure you climb upstream through the tea estates to find the safer bathing spots.

Beautiful environment. Easy access. Surrounding is great. You have to walk through tea estates. But please make sure you have all the safety precautions because the water is dangerous

A beautiful place to go. Very relaxing. Water flows too fast and just a bit too deep, be careful when you get in the water.

One of the beautiful places to visit. but very dangerous to bath in the main pool. Don't even try. There are many places to bath nearby. Try those places.
