Kallebokka 3600 viewpoint (height: 1,175m) became a trending destination after it was promoted by a certain TV programme. The summit is located right on the border of Matale and Kandy districts and shares the same ridge that forms Hathale min-worlds end and Hunnasgiriya mountain. The said ridge extends to the north and joins with western massif of Knuckles. On a clear day, visitors can observe Central Highlands, Kandy City, Sembuwatte lake and Knuckles Mountains. A Camping site and 02 estate bungalows are available for visitors to stay but need to be booked early. There is a half-finished Hindu shrine at the center of the flat summit and a hut made using sticks to enjoy the vistas. It’s better to visit in the mornings to enjoy the unobstructed views for mist tend to cover the area in the afternoons. The road to the top is dilapidated and narrow. A 4wd vehicles would be ideal but Bikes and Three wheelers can also make the journey with some effort. Cars are not recommended and you can hire a tuk-tuk from this point for about Rs 1,000 – 1,500 for the roundtrip. It’s an easy 1-2 hr hike (Elevation gain: ~300m) by foot so unless you’re with children or elderly, It is a highly recommended experience. Follow along the road about 2km and you’ll arrive into a small village where Kellebokke upper division estate workers reside. At the entrance, someone will come forward and issue your tickets. Tickets are priced at Rs 100/= per person. It is high time, however, they implement a proper ticketing operation since the current process looks a bit shady. Once at the top enjoy the panoramic views and try to identify the giants surrounding the area. There’s a nearby peak you can hike up as well for better views. The top can be windy, chilly and heavily foggy so be prepared for such conditions. By the way, there are no restaurants at the premises so bring your own food. Make sure, however, to not leave any litter behind.

One of most beautiful scenery I have witnessed. You have to take a hard drive of 6 km from the closet public road. It's gravel and concreted narrow estate road which only appropriate for vehicles which has at least one feet group clearance. If your planning to use a three wheeler, you may need an experienced driver due to difficulty of the road. Camping is also possible and definitely will be a nice experience. The land belongs to Kalabokka estate manage government. Entrance fee is Rs. 100/. You can see Kalabokka, Kabaragala, Nackels mountain range, Sembuwatta lake and if the sky is clear Piduruthagala from Mandaramnuwara side.

It is a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature. It can be easily reached from Matale or Kandy. You have to buy a ticket of 100 rupees to enter. The last 3km of the journey is a very difficult gravel road. Therefore, small vehicles cannot travel (alto, wagon R). Motorcycles can go to the top. But tread carefully. 4*4 vehicles can also go to the top. I wish everyone a happy journey.

360 view is fair enough to sum up the whole scenery. The road to the mountain is poor. A trail bike or a vehicle with large tires and tall in structure will be apt. The view from the top is mind-blowing. You can even see the sembuwatte lake from the top. There are two cliffs actually. Don't forget to check that out too.

Must visit if you want to see th breathtaking 360-degree view of the Knuckles Mountain Range. The road condition is poor, making it unsuitable for cars. However, bikes or three-wheelers or vehcle with a good ground clearance are recommended for the trip. The entrance ticket for local adults costs Rs. 100, and it's advised to bring water. Overall, it's a must-visit destination for nature lovers in Sri Lanka, offering stunning views amidst lush greenery and misty valleys.

A place to must visit when you travel Kandy sri lanka which is heart of ceylon.️️ You can reach there via Kandy. From Kandy clock tower bus stand take a bus to wattegama city then after take “Kabaragala” bus from wattegama bus stand. You can reach the starting point by bus then after you have to walk 5km on foot to reach the view point. Such a beautiful place to visit and largely untouched by tourism in the places we walked and the villages we visited. 😍🍃🫶🌿🏕️❤️

This is a beautiful place to travel. But the access road is too much difficult. and damage. It's recommended to use a four wheel vehicle. How ever it can be reached by a motor bike. Also a tuk tuk can be rent for a fare cost. But once you reach to the place will not be worried about going there. Need to carry all the requirements. Also tickets costs are fare. You can observe very attractive mountain ranges for 360 degrees.

Kalabokka is a viewpoint with a 360° scenic view, where you can see surround knuckles mountain range and other mountains. It take around 30mins travel from kandy but the view is worth the travel. The road from the main road to the hill top is kinda not in good condition, better to ride a bike, a tuk tuk or a vehicle with good ground clearance. On the way to Kalabokka you will go through beautiful tea estates worth a stop and enjoy.

Beautiful place for camping... only accessible by a 4x4 vehicle. And make sure you take enough wood for the camp fire. You can also buy Wood from the villagers.

Very nice view point situated about 29km from rattota town. However the road is accessible only from trishaw or bike. Ticket priced at 100 but i think its too much with regard to the rough road visitors have to surpass. From nearest small town Kandenuwara you can buy snacks and food. Small Waterfalls are there and you can plan a natural bath.so take useful best time to visit is early morning or evening

Kelabokka view point is a must-see attraction when visiting Sri Lanka. The breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape are truly awe-inspiring. The view point is located at a high elevation, providing a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys. The scenery is especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset. The view point is easily accessible by car or bus and there is a small shop selling refreshments. Overall, Kelabokka view point is a great place to relax and take in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. The road to Kelabokka view point can be quite difficult to navigate, especially if you are not used to driving on narrow, winding roads. The road is mostly unpaved and can be bumpy, so it's important to drive slowly and carefully. However, the journey is worth it once you reach the view point and are treated to the stunning views. Just make sure to allow extra time for the drive and to be prepared for a potentially rough ride.

Destination is beautiful, road is difficult and SUVs and motorcycles can go all the way. If you came by a car, probably you cant go all the way. So you have to park the vehicle at the entrance to the difficult road but be aware of the locals around here, I parked my car and locals offer us a tuk tuk ride to the top of the hill which cost 3,000/=. We refused and climed the hill by foot. When we came back, there was a nail on my tyre, which im pretty sure it was not there before we left, cause i have checked my car's surroundings before left it there. Its clear that nail was put on my tyre using a stone and it was spotted by the man who charge us for parking the vehicle there and he offered to change the tyre. Its pretty sure that locals put nail on my tyre and they wanted to change the tyre so they can ask for more money, there was some electrical problems prompt when i tried to start the car and pretty suspicious that those locals have damaged some wires or sensors underneath the car, this happened yesterday and im so much upset about the locals around this place, specially the tamil people, they jump to the moving vehicles and try to ask for money. If you are going there, its better if you have a vehicle with good ground clearance or a motorbike, so you can go to the top. View is magnificent there. 👍

Not the easiest viewpoint to access, but one of the most panoramic viewpoints in the island. Need a high clearance vehicle, ideally with 4WD to reach this viewpoint. Otherwise, you can stop the vehicle at the entrance point and take a Tuk Tuk to the viewpoint. The entrance ticket is Rs. 100 per person. It takes around an hour to reach to the viewpoint by a vehicle as the road is in a very bad state. The summit provides a 360⁰ view towards Sembuwatte Lake, Knuckle Forest Range & Gombaniya Mountain.

This is also a view point with 360 degrees. The trail is very difficult but the view is worth more than. You should buy a ticket that costs 100 LKR and enter the road. The climate will be so preferable if you reach there before noon. But you will never feel exhausted or tired once you begin to enjoy the journey. The trail to the view point is somewhat difficult. So it's preferred to use an off-road vehicle. But you can reach the top by a tuk or motor bicycle. You have to pay 150 KR per person as the entrance ticket. Though that, the view is definitely worth more than that. No water is available on the top and no clean restrooms are there.

With a mind-blowing 360- degree scenic surrounding, the kellebokka viewpoint will heal your mind. A great place for overnight camping. Permission should be obtained for that. The misty mountain ring take you to different dimensions. It's truly a beautiful stop in sri lanka. 🥰🥰

Kallebokka 360 View Point is a beautiful spot located on the border of Matale and Kandy districts in Sri Lanka. It offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including the Knuckles Mountain Range, the Mahaweli River, and the tea plantations of Matale. The viewpoint is located at the top of a hill, and the only way to reach it is by car or motorbike. The final 3 kilometers of the journey are on a rough gravel road, so it is important to drive slowly and carefully. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. - Need a high ground clearance vehicle to reach to the top - Entrance ticket is 100LKR per person

Good place for a 360⁰ view. Road was rain hit. Only 4x4 vehicle is suitable. We had to abandon our urban SUVs midway due to bad condition of the road. Walking also enjoyable. You can take short cuts through tea estates avoiding the main road to the summit. That will save you at least 1 to 1.5 km.
