Undoubtedly, one of best home-stay experiences I've ever had. We were at the Hill Cottage for two nights which was home away from home all thanks to the warmth and hospitality extended by the lovely, lovely hosts. Oh, please do not opt to settle for food outside (sacrilege!!!) as their in-house preparation - be it breakfast/lunch/dinner - is beyond compare. And let's also not forget the scenic view that this beautiful cottage offers. I loved every bit of my stay at Hill Cottage... definitely coming back :)

Thank you so much for these days. We felt very welcome in your house. The breakfast was very good and dinner was even perfect. We haven’t had better food during our vacation. Thank you very much for helping us with planning our day with the tuktuk, we saw so much of Kandy – even more than we thought we would. It was great. You made our experience with staying in a β€œhome-stay” so great, we loved being in contact with you. It was the nicest evening with so nice conversations here in Sri Lanka. Thank you for everything – just go on like that you are doing such a great job! :) Hanna + Christian from Germany

Very nice place held by extremely kind people. Going to Kandy by foot is possible but the roads are steep. Delightful breakfast to start a long hiking day :)

Quiet, with a beautiful garden. Up in the hills. Away from the city, 15 minutes walk to the Kandy Lake and the city. 7 minutes drive. Homely, and well known for the delicious food.

Ideal place for a long stay if you are lucky. Delicious food! Hosts speak good English. Communication is very easy. There is a nice garden around the house. The neighborhood is extra green and quiet. It feels like living outside the city (without its mess and noise) though everything is actually very near. A walk to the city takes 15 minutes (really). It's also perceptibly less hot compared to central Kandy. The house is tastefully furnished in a colonial style and has a very authentic vibe. It's very spacious and modern and super clean. Kitchen (most convenient one) is available for small extra fee. A view from both bedrooms is quite astonishing with Knuckles range in the distance. Internet is quite fast here. Mosquitoes didn't bother me at all (though there is a mosquito net too). The bed is new and awesome and I was sleeping very well. Overall the coolest place. Highly recommended

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Very friendly homestay with a great view. The owner knows about gluten allergies too so was more than willing to cater for this at breakfast. We stayed just the one night as we had the train the next morning so just needed a place to sleep and this was great.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ 10/10. The highlight of this accommodation are the hosts. We were welcomed by delicious dinner, which we ate in the dinning room, talking to Selyna and her husband with a feeling such as visiting friends in their home. Even though we spent only two nights, we had really nice conversations with Selyn...
