A beautiful pet friendly property. We enjoyed our stay here with our 7 month old Golden Retriever and 11 yr old daughter. We stayed at the mountain view room surrounded by mother nature. We had to walk up a little to our room, which we enjoyed after filling our stomach with good food. Service was really good - be it getting the extra beds, a quick cleaning whenever we need (since we had our pet with us), they were very prompt. Food was authentic Kerala cuisine and one of the best we have had so far. We go early for our meals so we can enjoy the food warm. Smiling faces welcome us all the time. We walked to the stream nearby which was all for ourselves and soaked in for a while. If given a chance we would definitely go back and stay here. We found tiny leeches in our room floor (downside of staying close to nature) which we had to clear now and then. We took some salt with us that handled these leeches. So every time we got in to our rooms, we first scan the floor, clear the leeches (1 or 2) and then get our pet in. Just a note of caution. Overall an amazing stay with absolutely no complaints. They took care of us and our pet like their own. The price is completely justified. Must visit to relax and unwind.

Excellent place, service and food. The property is very well maintained and the staff are very courteous and helpful. Overall, good value for money. The only disappointment was that the jeep ride to the natural rock pool was not to the place that was widely displayed/mentioned on their website, but to a different (and much smaller one). And considering that was charged extra, it was a bit of a let down.

Awesome people, awesome food and an awesome place. The room was clean, nothing short of a five star hotel in terms of cleanliness. the food served was authentic kerala dishes and home made. The hosts are ever-smiling and welcoming. We had a great time staying here and we'll remember that for a long long time.

I have been to many places in the world. This is clearly a favorite if you want a calm and pleasant environment close to nature. The staff are absolutely amazing and amazing food so grateful for my nights here where you can enjoy the peacefulness and hospitality. Gets five brilliant stars from me and my family on Vanilla County. If it was possible to give more stars, they would have received 10 out of 10. A beautiful heritage property in the middle of a plantation, close to nature. We could experience nature at its best with the sound of streams and chirping birds. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, the staff and the host were amazing. Service top notch as always. Enjoyed delicious, homely food.

I had an excellent experience in vanilla county during my stay there. The place is so cozy and peaceful for a comfortable stay. Food was authentic Syrian Christian cuisine. Staff is very courteous and they provide highest level of customer service

A perfect retreat for all those who are looking to disconnect from the hustling city life and reconnect with nature. I visited this property with my friends and it turned out to be no less than a safe piece of haven for all 3 of us, wherein we could relax and rejuvenate. The property is located a bit away from the Vagamon town so you are away from the noises. The staff is brilliant and is their to do everything possible to make you feel home. The food is lip-smacking good. The hosts, the staff- everyone is just so warm and friendly. Absolutely recommend it.

Staying at Vanilla County was an exceptional experience. Quality of food and service levels were exceptional. Vanilla County being a Home Stay is suitable for groups and families. May stay was with my friends and there was enough space for camaraderie and fun. Opportunity for experiencing the nature are plenty . For those who love adventure , swimming in the river, trekking in the hills etc are available. Some locations are a bit dangerous and all the needed precautions should be taken.

We were a large group of family with two kids and we absolutely loved our stay here. We were looking for a peaceful getaway for a night and vanilla county delivered and more. The house is gorgeous, brimming with old world charm but with all modern luxuries. I loved the fact that the garden was mainly comprised of native flora. You will be amazed by the numerous butterflies 🦋 flying all around you. There is a lovely stream near by & though it was rocky, we couldn’t resist taking a dip in it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. And the food…was the icing on the cake. I am originally from Kerala & is no stranger to the food or the setting. Even then, vanilla county impressed me and the rest of the family. Not to mention Coffee the adorable lab who was a constant entertainment for us all. He is very well behaved & will keep away if you prefer that. Vanilla county will serve well for those looking for a peaceful getaway in a natural setting :)

Beautiful place to stay. The most friendly owners and staff. Food is amazing. You can go there even only for the food. We had a very enjoyable walk through the estate. Totally recommend.

This was truly a great experience staying at vanilla county. Their make sure we get a homely feel at the same time make us feel completely comfortable. I would like specifically call out their crew, who helped us with extremely authentic Kerala cuisine and best in class bakes. They have a private stream and a protective Labrador called coffee.our kids had great fun.Thank you for this experience.

No words to say ...its a beauty in Vagamon .Everything from the ambience to the layout has been carefully done. People are so humble ,they make you feel at home ,the minute you step into their premises .The rooms are so tastefully done and the small streams and waterfall inside the premises add to the beauty of the place . I came from a polluted Delhi with headaches and heavy eyes and the minute I was there and took a dip in the natural stream all my ailments were forgotten .I checked the AQI and it was showing 11.0 This is a paradise on earth ,there is no doubt about it .The nature walks are all such a pleasure walks ,never miss this place .

The stay was very comfortable. The attenders were very hospitable and friendly. George was very attentive to our needs. Excellent food! That’s the main thing about Vanilla county. There were a lot of garden birds as that you can hear and see throughout the mornings.

If you want to take a break and really let go, this is the place .. As soon as you walk in, you get the feeling that you are at your friend's/relative's home. The people and the place, are amazing. The rooms have an old rustic touch to them, yet they have all the modern amenities. We had a wonderful stay with our children.

We had a wonderful time in Vanilla country during 27-28 Dec 22. It was a surprise Birthday time for me, organized by our son and daughter along with their spouses. The place is lovely with lots of trees and well done up. The entire house with rooms in ground and first floor are well maintained. The food, mainly Kerala style was good and the service was excellent. The location near Theekoy being at a lower elevation didn't provide a cold weather. But then it was pleasant and a place to relax and enjoy with family.

Absolutely fabulous stay and amazing hospitality. We were made to feel truly at home. The setting is idyllic, hidden away and incredibly peaceful. We really enjoyed our excursion to the rock pool and the amazing food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are so many spaces to relax, read a book, gaze at the view. Afternoon tea and our evening walks through the estate were also a highlight. I can't recommend Vanilla County highly enough.

We stayed here for two nights with our pet dog, and had a lovely time. The hosts and staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home from the moment you reach the property. The location is very peaceful and scenic, walking around the property is so nice. The food is mostly local cuisine and very delicious. All in all, we had a very refreshing break- just what we were looking for.

Beautiful heritage property amidst lush green trees and a crystal clear water stream which flows close by. The picturesque view is a photographers delight. The staff is very friendly more than happy to help. The meals are a perfect blend of carefully selected spices and condiments. It was a very fulfilling trip. A good place for kids too. Also a perfect place for people who dislike crowded hotels.

We stayed in this property with our pet cat for two nights. The property is nestled in a wooded valley in the foothills of Western Ghats and offered a very quiet and rejuvenating kind of experience. Our cottage at the top and surrounded with trees, offered a pleasing view of the lawn and the bungalow below. An ideal place for one to sit and relax in the nature. The staff were very cordial and all of them ensured that we were comfortable. Food was excellent with authentic mid travancore taste. Our stay was a memorable one and would recommend this resort to anyone who love a quiet holiday in the hills.

Vanilla County is truly exceptional place to stay. The property is located within the green hills of Vagamon and one can walk through the countryside from the property. The owners are really attentive to every detail and look after you extremely well. There are plenty of activities nearby including a trip in a jeep to rock pools where one can swim and relax. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided every day and are wonderful. I thoroughly recommend a stay at this property.

We have loved every nook and corner of the property. Embedded completely in the nature's lap , a variety of flora and fauna .My wife and daughter have enjoyed waterfalls en route. The place gives a perfect introduction to the tropical forest . In the night the communication between the nocturnal beings in the forest can also be appreciated .The hosts are the lovely couple .

It was one of our most favourite places to stay in Kerala. The rooms are a little small but the property itself is beautiful - especially the old main house. The food was amazing, and to be served a variety of dishes in the middle of nowhere is mind blowing frankly. We loved being in the nature and they even let us check out late as we were heading straight to the airport from Vagamon. We are so happy we chose to stay here on our trip. Must also mention that the staff are so pleasant and kind, it was a memorable stay.

I chose vanilla county for our anniversary getaway.....since we were traveling with our son who is 2, I had my concerns. But the place was just perfect. It was very peaceful, surrounded by green and birds chirping. You could hear the nature around you. Alot of space for kids to run around. The room we chose (Heritage room) was royal. Very spacious, big bed,very well equipped. The food....Omg, just amazing. That authentic taste of Home recipes.....just yum..... Best part, everything is homemade. Even their jams,bread,peanut butter. I had requested for a candle light dinner for the anniversary day, it was just perfect with whole set up, they even gave us a small piece of cake as compliment, and that meant a lot😍. Can't wait to visit again...

Wow wow... We came for a shoot here. The place is amazing. We loved the food, the people and the place. This property is well maintained and it deserves 5 stars. You love the nature kissed day. It's actually in the jungle feel.

A very cosy, comfortable, homely, tranquil atmosphere. The way the bungalow and the cottages are maintained is exceptional. The housekeeping staff and all the members were really helpful and welcoming. The owners Mathew and Cilu were ardently and always seen with a smile and helpfulness in mind. The food was delectable and very homely. In addition to this we had a great time cycling, taking a stream bath and enjoying indoor games. Altogether the food, stay and everything about the place was amazing. I 100% recommend this place.

IT'S A REAL HERITAGE <3 we can feel inside out as a heritage bungalow, I feel like I live there in the 60s. The property gives you a vintage peace mood, I like that. The most important thing is they are pet friendly. my pet HONAI loves this place :) Altogether it's the best place to stay and relax, Food is AWSOME, well prepared and well served. they keep every element have a vintage touch even the manager (maju chettan ) appearance itself feels like a KARYASTHAN (caretaker) ;)
