Disappointed in the overall experience. After being served our five bowls this afternoon they came out with very small portion size and overall flavorless. My friends and I were really excited to come back here and eat today however one of us didn’t even order because everyone was so underwhelmed. Maybe we will give it another shot another time but today’s experience was a let down.

Check out this fun spot in downtown Black Mountain! I ordered a custom veggie + chicken bowl, other order was Lemongrass Pork Tenderloin bowl. Friendly faces, fast turnaround, and fun setting at WNC.

Excellent little rice bowl spot with fresh, local, ingredients prepared as you watch. The menu choices are extensive, so you can go back time and again and never have the same thing twice. Full marks.

Competitively priced, out of the ordinary, and off the beaten path, it's worth the short trip off of Cherry Street.

This place was wonderful! I’ve been meaning to try it out for a while and I’m so happy I did. Food was delicious and left me very satisfied, while not too full either! Amazing quality for such low prices as well. Definitely a semi-hidden gem!!

Delicious, flavorful bowls. Good portions. It's nice to have more Asian fare in Black Mountain. Bowls are quick and easy, and preferable to most quick options - the bulgogi and other meats are very tasty but you can still get your veggies with broccoli, kimchi, etc. You can also have lettuce as half or all of your bowl base. The layout is sort of like a permanent food truck (similar to Foothills Grange), great outdoor space to enjoy during warmer weather. If the Outdoor Collective retail space is closed, enter the dining space from the gravel drive to the right of the building.

I had this at a catered holiday party and it was absolutely delicious. Several options and the combination of flavors was excellent. I would definitely recommend!

The Bowl in the Wall catered a party I attened and the group wants to book them again! The food was fabulous and the service was excellent.
