I don't understand the great reviews. As a foodie this place is overrated. As a "vegetarian" the "vegetarian" items are a joke. My husband had salmon roll, shrimp roll, miso, fries and shrimp tacos, everything lacked seasoning. My vegetable bowl was lame. I felt like they didn't put any effort on making something good, different, not even adding some type of seasoning to the recipes. Everything was flat and dull. $69 for two dinners in a teens place like this, is overpriced and overated. As other people said, this is a teenagers bar trying to be cool, with loud music, mediocre food, kids with no knowledge of the menu serving tables and overpriced items. Cool to hang out and have drinks? Maybe. I don't know, I went there for the food. Cool to talk, NO. It's super loud. A foodies option? Definitely no. There's easily 5 better options to eat sushi around Huntersville. I'll not be back.

Rich flavor great environment and friendly stuff, definitely my favorite sushi place since I move to NC from Florida. I will definitely recommend my two favorites LKN ROLL AND CALIFORNIA DREAM. Update: I came back and order spring rolls, short ribs and ask for a personalized roll and they killed it! Music is always on point. I think is my new fav spot for sushi.

Showed up at 5:20 on a Friday night, ordered carry out, and the food came out in 10 minutes. Total trash. The “Tuna Stack” literally had no tuna in it (see the pics). A dollop of wasabi was not enough for 5 bites of a roll. The rolls were tiny. Mostly rice or vegetable. Where’s the fish? $18 for what? Lots of good reviews but our takeout order was terrible. Tiny rolls, no fish, average taste, and really overpriced relative to much better places locally.

I live in Charlotte and was in Cornelius recently for a business lunch. This was my first time at Cool Fish. You must try to Korean Short Ribs for an appetizer. They are so tasty. I ate the LKN roll, which was shrimp tempura, cream cheese with smoked salmon. They were very good. I do not come to Cornelius very often, but I will come back to Cool Fish.

Delicious drinks and food! The cool fish crunch roll is my favorite sushi roll that I've tried here. The Ramen was also super satisfying. This is one of the few places around town that's open super late which is awesome. Small place but we've gotten a table immediately every time.

I was in town from LA with my bf looking for late nite place to eat and drink. Found this place and it was great! Considering I'm not a seafood fan, they had a great variety of other food too. We had beef street tacos, fries and asparagus tempura which were so yummy!!! But superrr piping hot, burned the roof of my mouth... The chicken and waffles could've been better too. We also felt like we were being rushed? But as the night progressed not so much. The sake was delish, especially the lychee one. My bf ordered the cool crunch sushi and dragon sushi that were ok he says. I'm also hesitant of ordering certain ramen but the pork ramen was soo tasty! And DJ was poppin all night also a plus! Will be back soon😊

We went for the first time because we wanted sushi, the sushi is really good, specially the LKN sushi. We didn't like the tacos, there were bland. Our server was really nice!

This place has great sushi and a great atmosphere. The service was also great. The sushi tasted very fresh and none of the rolls we ordered were bad. They also have a great selection of local beers on tap. The service was extremely fast as well. We will keep coming back!

Went for a week night dinner. Great atmosphere with the DJ- knowledgeable staff won’t good recommendations and clever sushi. Can’t wait to go back.

We will never be back at this restaurant again. The chicken in my to go order was completely charred and inedible. I called the restaurant and gave them the chance to make it right but they were unable to to. They should be embarrassed to send food out to a customer like that. It's been awhile since my last visit, so leaving Charlotte decided to drop in on my way home. July 4th the vibe is relaxed. Singles, couples and families were there, all adults. Having received a text last week of June (26th?) for a buy one get one roll, was able to use it this holiday. The server would come and go. When ordering Informed him of a gluten allergy and ordered two rolls. A man behind the counter heard the order, and was informed "I couldn't have the eel sauce on the roll(s) if I was celiac." While I appreciated the interest, that said no eel sauce on anything I don't care for it anyway. Both rolls were good, not too much rice and let the fish shine. The first bite in was nodding my head. My complaint, the server kept disappearing thankfully other staff would bring utensils, soy sauce and refills of water. The other staff saved the experience. While not in my area will make the drive here again for sushi.

I truly think this place has the best sushi in LKN area. However Everytime I walk in there to pick up or dine in it takes at least 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. The food is great, however, perhaps maybe installing a bell or something at the door would help alert the staff? I went in to get a to go order and if I wouldn’t have already paid for my food I would’ve just left and ate else where

If I could give 0 stars I would! Horrible service! Even worse food! Don’t go here it’s a waste of money. Food was slimy and the host didn’t even know the menu…. Worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant! Low staffed as well be warned!!!!!

Yes, had so much fun here. Try the dippers, the dumplings appetizer, very good. As well as the fish tacos. Had nice conversations with other patrons, staff was very cool. There was a DJ playing music. OH, I MUST MENTION THEY STAY OPEN TIL 2AM!! 2AM, is unheard of in this area.

The food, drinks, atmosphere of this place is great. It’s the service that tanks it. As someone who comes from the service industry and been here multiple times now, there is no method to the madness. At any given time they have ~5 servers on that are responsible for the whole restaurant, bar and patio to include - taking orders, making drinks, bussing, you name it. It takes FOREVER to order anything, even if you sit at the bar. On numerous occasions, we sat with our dirty app plates in front of us while we ate dinner. Drinks are empty. If you ask a server for help they have attitudes and says they’re busy. I would love to see this place benefits from designated bartenders and servers with sections for tables they are responsible for. We keep trying to stick it out because the food is good but the service is really starting to take it down hill. Really need to have a better serving system in place.

WOW this place has AMAZING sushi & drinks. The sushi & sashimi is fresh & served quickly. I loved it so much that we ate their 2 consecutive days! I wanted to lick the bowl of their miso soup! Their staff is both friendly & helpful. You DON'T want to miss this dining experience. They get packed so eat an early lunch there, but go there hungry & thirsty.

The staff were quick, very helpful and offered very nice suggestions. Mango pudding, refreshing. Cornelius Roll had a nice twist with a candied lemon on top.

I had the tuna tacos and the pork belly bao which are pictured and they were both outstanding. My fiance wanted to try the Barvqueu. We both tried one piece from the roll and it was not good at all. No fault of cool fish though, everything else is amazing just not the fake meat

Cool Fish NEVER disappoints. If it’s your first time you can’t go wrong with the pork buns, Asian Tacos (a little spicy), the duck dumplings, the pink lady, the happy happy joy joy or the Korean BBQ Bowl with meat. I didn’t get to snap a pic of everything bc everyone couldn’t wait to dive in. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Get you some ASAP! (you can thank me later 🥳😜)

This seems like a good spot; I plan on going back and checking out more stuff on the menu. Casual with an upbeat vibe. Decent variety of beers on tap. The menu isn't super extensive... I'd call it a little bit of everything. Nigiri list is pretty basic but the fish portions were respectable. I only got one roll but it was pretty good. Ingredients seemed fresh. I'd say it's worth considering if you're in the area.

Unique small space with a great vibe, cool tunes and an amazing staff! Don't skip the loaded spring rolls! Amazing sushi and fabulous mocktails! And cocktails!

Staff is very attentive - Menu is interesting and very tempting - Atmosphere is more of a nightclubish feel - Area nicely lit for safety

The food was great and the service was great! Pretty fast. The restaurant was really clean. Great location for us. The miso soup was prepared perfectly! I recommend this place!
