Totally waste. Didn't even felt eating a biriyani from here. Lost the money. Not recommended to anyone. And the service person may advise you to go for a biriyani of 170 rupees rather than 130 ... The only addition of 50 rupees was only for 2 small piece chicken fry.

Both were absolutely fabulous, probably the best (normally priced) food I had in three weeks of travelling India. Quality and composition were both excellent. Location is a bit remote and hard to find, but that gives it extra charme. The sound of the waves soothes you, the view is fantastic and there is no annoying street vendors like in Kovalam main beach. Service is impeccable (for Indian standards). Very friendly staff, great recommendations foodwise and they keep just the right amount of distance and courtesy. If you are in Kovalam, skip the mediocre restaurants at the main beach and come here!

Except parotta we had bad experience on just about every other items we tried... Too spicy... Even more (curd) was spicy. Two kids ended up crying because of mouth burning out.

I promised to leave a review for this restaurant about a year ago and I finally got around to doing it :) It’s situated amongst the palm trees and overlooking picturesque bay. If you can’t find it yourself, I guarantee there will be someone at the neighbouring beach that will point you in the right direction to find it :) Fresh, delicious food, extremely attentive staff and unusual surroundings contribute to the charm of this lovely restaurant.

Amazing food and amazing location! Highly recommended: 10 out of 10! The atmosfere was very relaxed. Great service: the restaurant can arrange a tuck tuck to pick you up, and super fresh food: very local and authentic cuisine at its best. We had king prawn molee curry, we choose the fresh king prawns, they were super fresh just caught by the fisherman, super juicy. And a White snapper in banana leaves: so good!

This place a bit tricky to find, but totally worth the hunt ! We tried almost all restaurants in the Kovalam main beach (lighthouse beach) but this one was by far the best ! They serve traditional Kerala food, home made style in ample quantity. They are warm, quick and also help you pick the right dish if you are confused or new to sea food. And also an amazing view. You must must pay a visit here when in Kovalam.

Beautiful food, the fish is especially good. Can't recommend highly enough. I'm from the UK and was a bit worried about tummy upsets from the food in India, if you feel the same then I can recommend the curry leaf as it's been great, no issues whatsoever. The staff are on par with the food which is to say they're fantastic.

The best place in Kovalam to eat delicious food and chill. We were losing heart searching for a nice place to eat when we stumbled upon Curry Leaf. Fantastic food (fish is Fresh), great view, super friendly staff, and,... Hold your breath... Clean toilet and actually, yes, actually, hand wash soap!!!! I woul rate it 10 stars. Thank you guys.

Excellent food, friendly staff and great ambience. Lovely to hear the sounds of waves as we ate. We got a tuctuc from main tourist area in Kovalam for 100rup. You need to walk a little along the beach with dim lighting but we were greeted and escorted by someone who worked at the restaurant with a torch. We had a mixture of veggie and meat dishes which were all delicious and the paratha was AMAZING, best we've had all trip.

During my treatment days at Pathya Ayurvedic Treatment centre, which is nearest to Curry leaf restaurant Kovalam, I used to visit this beautiful restaurant mostly every day . The restaurant serves mostly all type of cuisines, whether it is italian, chinese etc. I ordered authentic kerala vegetarian cuisines and it was delicious. I Highly recommend this restaurant in kovalam for tasty and delicious food.

Very good and ordering is not a hastle at all. Chef is excellent and prepares as per your taste and requirement. Service is very quick and atleast for us he had brought the order within 15 mins. Very good ambience, view of beach is very nice and attractive. Visit during dawn or sunset for the best view.

Good to seafood

We are staying at the Palm Tree Yoga Centre next door and having both breakfast and evening meals there. The views over Kovalam are fantastic, the food is stunning, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager of the yoga centre has even arranged for us to have a cookery lesson with the restaurant tomorrow! We're looking forward to improving our Indian cookery skills, but if we can produce did half as good as we've been eating I'll be happy!

Food is decent. Special here is kothu parota which is fav for nearby residents. You can rely on bismi as this place operates 24/7 and never closes except for Ramadan. Overall bismi is reliant on taste, quality and this place has a car parking too

I had their beef briyani and it was decent. I would not say it is great but good tastewise. The quantity is big and two people can divide one plate of briyani. They could have included egg though which was missing.

It is a very busy and crowded hotel which has parking space and good food. We prefer this hotel whenever we pass by it during meal time. The waiters can understand Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.

Even though the restaurant is specialised in the area of non-vegetarian food, some varieties of dosa are available for breakfast. It is situated by the national highway and has dedicated parking area. Parota with side dish of meat is available even from early morning.
