This is a heritage monument related muslim religion. Good architecture, moderately maintained. You can buy cold drinks and snacks inside the monument campus. The small garden was properly maintained and the place was clean. I missed the opportunity to visit the entire place as my mother was having problems with so many stairs. I personally feel that the entry ticket is highly priced as you have to pay to the guide in addition to entry tickets. Otherwise the place is good.

It's a great heritage site in Lucknow but it's not maintained. They charge a good amount for ticket and guide, but their service is poor. You are lucky if you get good guide there. People have spitted in corners. Requesting to all the Guthakha lover, please don't spit anywhere you wish to.

An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. If you are a photographer you will have hard time finding a clear frame as this tourist place is too busy. Also, we felt the old structure could have been more maintained and well taken care of. The tourist department has not paid much attention to the maintenance of the old iconic building.

Imambara is mourning hall. Has lot of detail in its construction. Loved the architecture. Construction marvel. Even in peak noon, its cool inside. Avoid guide if possible, they are in hurry and for obvious reasons. If you are going there make sure you explore every detail of it. It's not something you should wrap up in 1-2 hrs. Feel the place. Read the brief history written on board at entrance to have the feeling of it. That structure has soul still alive. Best time to go during evening to have glimpse of sunset from that grand structure.

Loved this place. This piece of art reflects the true Mughal architecture where one is thrilled to walk around. The architecture of the complex reflects the maturation of ornamented Mughal design, namely the Badshahi Mosque - it is one of the last major projects not incorporating any European elements or the use of iron.

A nice place to visit and walk around if you’re in Lucknow. I wasn’t able to gain access since the electronic payment methods were down but I got to visit the lawns which were nice. It was also a bit crowded which I assume was due to Eid so I didn’t mind not being able to access the temple itself. Overall, a great spot for pictures!

One thing, I would like to suggest is to hire a guide. Not hiring a guide is like, you go to a movie theatre and then instead of watching a movie, you just look at the screen and come back home, admiring how big the screen is. When you hire a guide, He/She tells you about the stories related to that place, If you are a student of history, you might find out Some of them are not real, but who cares, As when you watch a movie, not everything is correct. Most of the people go and visit the place to be in touch with the past time and for recreational purposes. So having a guide would bring joy and would convert your visit into a movie. That’s just my opinion, Please don’t get offended by any of this.

I've found this place good. It has been kept well by the govt despite of the fact that huge number of people visit here everyday. However, I found that the rate of tickets were at the higher side. 300 for the age of 16 and above is absolutely unnecessary. If this is considered as a place of worship then let people enjoy some rebate on ticket rates. Overall good experience. Cheers.

It is said that this monument is build of 5 types of lentils. The nawabs use to attack the Britishers from the Bhul bhulaiya situated inside. Also there are treasures buried under this monument which no one can find out as keys have been dismissed. Also there are pathways situated under this fort which opens out to Delhi, Hyderabad and some other major cities. The interiors were very beautiful and I was amazed to see the maze or the bhul bhulaiya which has been constructed so well. The view from the top is also amazing. This place is a must visit if you're in Lucknow.

Lovely place to visit. Keep a guide with you to enjoy the experience. Not meant for the elderly, as too many stairs and lot of walking. Is neat, tidy well maintained. Guide will charge Rs. 200/- per trip and would take around an hour to show you the place. One has to walk barefoot!!

Okay. Parking a few steps away but ample. You can visit it. You have to take a guide irrespective of your choice, they nag you, which was annoying. Many paths of the inner maze are closed so not particularly much to see there too. Nothing in particular caught my eye personally. it was okay.

One of the famous historical place of Lucknow in the middle of the city. A place must visit when you were in the Lucknow. Approx 5 KM from railway station of Lucknow. The place is not come under government but maintained by Hussainabad and allied trust. Two very huge gateway side by side looks enormous. There are actually 3 things to visit Bada imambara ,Bhool Bhulaiyaa,Bouli. Ticket available for individual visit to these places separate or combined. Only visit Bada imambara - 30 Rs ,Bhool Bhulaiyaa -40 Rs ,Bouli- 30 Rs, but if you visit all you have to pay only 50₹ , children above 5 years pay 25 rupees and children above 12 years count as a adult one. It's a huge place. Guide is compulsory for more than 2 people Cost is 200₹ . My children like Bhool Bhulaiyaa which have 1024 entrance but only two exist.

Wonderful place With 489 comparable looking entryways and about a thousand paths associated by flights of stairs, the 'Bhool Bhulaiya' at the notorious Bada Imambada is an intricate maze intended to leave a vacationer befuddled. Run here with a guide, keeping in mind that you get stranded in its dull, limit sections that are every so similar.

The place is a major tourist attraction for visitors to Lucknow, today I've visited this place after a gap of about three years, after COVID-19 phase of 2021. It was disheartening to see that the place is now dilapidated a lot since my last visit. Archaeological survey of India, as well as the trust which looks after the revenue earned from these places are giving a dime in preserving the integrity of these places only the front facade is appealing and is taken care of it seems, but the interiors are in shambles, I'm afraid that may be soon this place may suffer some irreparable losses which indeed would be a great loss for us and future generations. You are charged for every single service that are offered there, even public utilities are charged that is very shameful for the authorities who govern these places, which attracts a l lot of National as well as the international tourists. It is high time for the authorities to look into these matter, which seems small but they are having good adverse effects on the psyche of public in general....

The whole structure has an amazing maze of corridors hidden between the halls; the dense, dark maze is called the Bhul Bhulaiya - meant to be explored only by the strong-hearted. It is a network of more than 1000 labyrinthine passages, some of which lead to spooky dead-ends. You can take the help of a certifies guide if you want a tour of the secret labyrinth without getting lost.....

One of the best structures in Lucknow if you love monuments. The interior and exterior of the monument is simply remarkable. The intricacy of art work done on columns are magnificent. Place is filled with inspiration and ideas for Design elements. The main hall is divided into 3 parts designed by architects from Iran,China and India. The bhool bhulaiya or labyrinth is fun and gets more interesting when you hire a guide. U can take a combo ticket which covers all the spots nearby.

Management needs to be improved. Compounds have good waste disposals at every nook but People should not be allowed to enter the main building like bhool bhulaiya with plastic bottles and juice cartons. There were many left overs along the chambers. It affected the experience. I didn't click photos as I didn't want to ruin the image. It's worth a visit though. Has stalls for snacks inside too. Very good price for quality handicraft products is also there- looting the visitor is not the intention here, which was highly commendable of the young vendors. Total visit cost from snacks+ guide + parking+ souvenirs+ entry fee (4 people) = ~ ₹1500/-

Lucknow, with its rich history and cultural heritage, offers a plethora of attractions to explore. Your visit to the Imambara, Bauli, Clock Tower, and Picture Gallery must have been quite an enriching experience, especially considering the affordable price of just 50 rupees. Starting with the Bada Imambara, it stands tall as a symbol of Lucknow's architectural brilliance and Nawabi grandeur. The intricate carvings, majestic halls, and the mesmerizing Bhul-Bhulaiya create an atmosphere steeped in history and mystique. The visit to the Imambara would have undoubtedly left you in awe of its grandeur and historical significance. The Bauli, or stepwell, is another gem of Lucknow's architectural heritage. These ancient water structures not only served as a source of water but also held social and cultural significance. Exploring the Bauli would have offered you insights into the city's water management systems and architectural ingenuity. The Clock Tower, standing tall amidst the bustling streets of Lucknow, is a sight to behold. Built during the British colonial period, it serves as a reminder of Lucknow's colonial past. Its elegant design and intricate detailing make it a prominent landmark in the city's skyline. Lastly, the Picture Gallery would have provided you with a glimpse into Lucknow's artistic legacy. From traditional paintings to contemporary artworks, the gallery showcases the creativity and talent of Lucknow's artists through the ages. It's a space where one can immerse oneself in the vibrant cultural tapestry of the city. Overall, your visit to these attractions for just 50 rupees is a testament to Lucknow's commitment to preserving its heritage and making it accessible to all. Each site offers a unique perspective on the city's history, art, and architecture, leaving visitors enriched and inspired. Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about Lucknow's cultural legacy, these attractions have something to offer for everyone.

Awesome place to visit. If you are travelling by group, this would be your adventure trip. Bhul bhulaiya is on first floor of the bara Imamabada. Take a torch light/mobile torch with you, as it's a dark spots everywhere, Once you enter inside bhul bhulaiya, and move separately, you will find it interesting, to take out side. Time to take tour is around 45 mins. Note: Staircase is not good for old peoples, Once you riched at the top, It is very good to take selfie, photos.

A nice monument to visit. I found some of the areas are very risky to fall down while climbing 🧗 for bhulbhulaiya, so don’t leave the kids alone. Also they don’t allow the shoes for roof top and do not have proper matting, which makes difficult to walk with barefoot 🦶They should provide some alternative or proper matting, else allow footwear there. Difficult for kids to walk.

Bara Imambara is a historical monument of Lucknow. The building is grand and well maintained. The architecture is great and provides glimpse of the techniques used by olden kings to maintain secrecy and spying. There is nominal entree fee for the premise. A large roof at the top gives beautiful view of the city. It is well connected with the city . A must visit plsce in Lucknow.

One of the best places to visit when in Lucknow. A beautiful monument of the Mughal era. The rooms here are built like a maze and you could get lost inside. Do take services of a guide who will explain you everything along with the internal tour of the monument. There are official guides available inside near the ticket counter. Do take their service and not the guides outside. Ample parking space available. Usually crowded on weekends.

Beautiful place to visit in evening, besides awesome tourist destination. The architecture is truly remarkable. I was in awe moment when I first saw the bada Imambada. The set up put me in 1784, when such beauty of human labour was established. The stoned piled up way, perfect for carts and Gateway of royal families would have preferred. Truly enjoyed my time during the visit. I recommend the visitors to spend some more time inspecting the details of the Architecture.

Excellent place to visit atleast once if one is visiting lucknow for the first time. One thing to note about this place is the guide is compulsory here, one cannot roam here without the guide, since there are markings of the names of couples from the times when guides were not mandatory gives us good enough reasons why guides are needed. Yet, staff here is really nice just as per what they say here "लखनऊ तहज़ीब का शहर है।" they're really humble and gentle. Since there is rush in later hours of the day, visiting here in earlier hours of the day is advisable, cherry on the cake is the atmosphere in those hours is also wonderful.

Guide is a must. But they make you do things in rush. Be respectable as it is a religious place. Tip the guide well. There system is quite peculiar. Bul bulaiya involves lot of stairs and narrow passages. Be careful, there are chances you can sprain your feet.

One of the most beautiful historical place to visit in Lucknow. A place where you can see the way of living of Nawabs. If ever visited in Lucknow so I recommend you to must visit this place. Here you need a guide to visit inside bhool bhulaiya and it's seriously a bhool bhulaiya so be careful and take a guide if you are visiting first time. Helping staff and here you will get some snacks shops inside this place and toilet facilities available inside the place and you will be charged some amount if you're coming from personal vehicle as a parking fee. Overall it's my good visit.

Bara Imambara in Lucknow is a magnificent architectural wonder that showcases the grandeur of the Nawabi era. This historical monument is a must-visit for anyone interested in India's rich cultural heritage. The Bara Imambara is famous for its colossal central hall, which is one of the largest arched constructions without any support beams. This architectural marvel, known as the Bhulbhulaiya, is a labyrinthine maze that provides a unique and thrilling experience for visitors. Exploring its winding passages can be both exciting and disorienting. The exterior of the Imambara is equally impressive with its Mughal-style design, featuring intricate calligraphy and delicate ornamentation. The main hall, Asfi Mosque, and Rumi Darwaza are other notable structures within the complex, each contributing to the overall grandeur of the place. The surrounding gardens and courtyards add to the serene atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. Additionally, the historical significance of the Bara Imambara, built during the famine to provide employment, adds to its cultural value. However, the maintenance of the complex could be improved, as some parts show signs of wear and tear. Also, it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays, which might detract from the experience for those seeking a quieter visit.

I visited Bada Imambara in Lucknow recently and had a disappointing experience. The staff and guides were very rude, creating a negative atmosphere. The pervasive bad smell added to the unpleasant ambiance. It's disheartening to note that the place seemed unwelcoming for non-Muslim visitors. The overall atmosphere inside was reminiscent of hell due to the staff's behavior. I would caution others against visiting if they seek a positive and inclusive experience. It's crucial for attractions to uphold hospitality, regardless of one's background, to ensure a memorable and enjoyable visit for all.

Touristy place in Lucknow History is attached with it You can pay 50 rupees per person for entry fees Take a guide in 200 rupees. He will show you the tricks to pass the maze. Otherwise there is nothing to see in it. Small mazes where you will be lost. One wall where whispering will be heard in a distant place only if the place is quiet. No place to put the shoes or no parking space. Once you can visit.

Bara imambara is famous for its labyrinth or vulvulaya. The architecture is good and it is still well maintained by Lucknow govt. But in labyrinth one have to take the guide otherwise it is very difficult to get back from that.

Nothing much historical about the place, and it was too commercialized. They force couples to take a guide with them at the entry. Not much story about the place. But you can spend around 1-2 hours exploring the place.

One of the most visiting sites in lucknow. It is a mughal architectural marvel. .The place is not properly managed. Couples have to hire a guide or else they won't let you inside bhool bhulaiya without an elderly person. Please don't visit this place during summer.

I visited the famous Bada Imambara on my trip to one of the most beautiful cities of India- Lucknow. This monument was built by emperor Asaf-ud-Daullah, and in my opinion this monument is not as well maintained as other ASI heritage monuments. The entry ticket to this place is available at the gate for ₹50 per person. I visited twice, once in public holiday 1 Jan and other in a weekday. My experience of visiting on public holiday was horrible as it was immensely crowded and we could not enjoy the beauty of the place at all. The entire heritage has a Bada Imambara, Chhota Imambara, the famous Bhool Bhulaiya or the maze and the Baoli. The Chhota Imambara is not open for public visit. To enter the Bhool bhualiya, one needs a guide and single or couples are not allowed inside as those who do not know the way around will get lost. The guide fees is around ₹50 per person however might be negotiable. There are paid public toilets inside which are not well maintained neither hygienic. There is a place where we can keep our shoes before entering the monument. Near to this place is the Lucknow Chowk that has stalls for shopping and famous eateries where we can devour in the famous Lucknowi biryani, tundey kebabs, galawti kebabs and more.

For history lovers it's good for you but if you are not then I really do not recommend it. And one thing if we buy a ticket for all passes for 50 ₹pp Then why do ticket checkers need more money from visitors to visit boli and other places which are already paid. They also demand 10rs pp from people who visit with tickets.

It's lovely, it's beautiful it holds lots of stories. You'll need a guide here though. It's very clean, but don't fill your water through the drinking water the water's sus. Also a beautiful garden which you're not allowed to enter.

Very beautiful and brilliantly made structure ruined by the vendors and street guys pretending to be guide. Ticketing is alright, souvenir shops are also good and prices were normal for souvenirs. Few things which are likeable are : It’s has a big compound and beautifully maintained garden. The view from the top is amazing and you can see most of the city on a clear day. If you go on a sunny day remember to carry water bottle. Things which are not likeable are : Annoying guide who will stick with you and start offering guide tours which I don’t think anyone needs. Extremely annoying tiktokers and reel oriented people which in local language are called CHHAPRI making videos and yelling and shouting for no reason. People are talking too loudly and there are few places where people are spitting tobacco inside the building. Annoying announcement about the imambara which goes on all the time gives you headache. They ask to remove shoes either out of respect or to keep the imambara clean but it’s dirty and needs cleaning. There are few things inside which are supposed to be hand written notes by the nawabs but they all are gone bad and needs to either be restored or removed. I didn’t understood why there was photo of Dome of rock from Al Aqsa mosque and Kaaba since it’s about Lucknow and imambara. To sum up, imambara needs crowd management and also it needs to have good cleanliness. Can be visited for sure if in Lucknow. 😊

This is a complex labrinth of narrow paths and stairs and walkways, part of bada imambara complex. One can get lost if not careful, maybe it's better to hire a guide. At each point there are 3 alternative paths to go! From some points one can get a bird's eye view looking into the bada imambara hall. From other parts one can see the whole complex buildings exteriors from top view. Some of the stairs are big, so old people should be careful. Also, some places are dark.

I took a guide for this as its better to have a guide else you will waste time figuring out where to go. Parking system is not good so better to take a auto rickshaw or a cab.

What an excellency they had use on their architectural design!! This building had proper combination of persian, Mughal and religious design. Just amazing !! By visiting this historical monuments you could learn about the thoughts of ancient Muslim emperor and the intelligency, mechanism and the technology. The surprising thing of this building is that, there are so many passeges and if you enter in between those area; you couldn't be able to exit until get guide from others, means you'll forget the entry point. And those were built on security purposes. How brilliant they were !! All used materials and structural design is really has admirable quality and intelligency.

Bada Imambara has lot to offer. It is not just a Shia Muslim religious building but also a unique piece of architecture. The main hall is designed with sound echo technique i.e even if you tear paper at one end you clearly hear voice of it on other hand. Similarly Bhool Bhulaiyya (maze) is another unique structure. Baoli is also scientifically designed. Overall more than the expectation.

Bara Imambara, also known as Asfi Mosque is an imambara complex in Lucknow, India built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh in 1784. Bara means big & This building also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. Two imposing gateways lead to the main hall. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace but only two to come back first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture.

I love places that have history. Bara Imambara, though pretty well known in Lucknow I'm sure, it is a lesser known destination on the national level, but it has fascinating history nevertheless. Do get yourself a guide because there are no sign boards to tell you about the history. Its best seen during day time, so try to be there by 2-3 pm latest, so that you can check out the whole place. Don't get touted by people outside the place, who will say they will take you to some other market

Lucknow, the city of minarets and domes, Nawabs and kababs, tehzeeb and ada! Tourists from all over the world come to ‘Imambara’ and it is the most visited place in Lucknow. This beautiful heritage architecture encompasses in itself mysteries and histories worth delving into. Every stone within this monument holds a secret. It is called as the ‘bhool-bhulaiya’ meaning labyrinth. It was built by the fourth Nawab of the Awadh Province, Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula. It took fourteen years to complete this structure. It was built with a noble intention. When famine struck the Awadh estate, the Nawab thought of building this structure, which will generate employment as well as provide food to people in return for their services. It was designed by the Architect Hafiz Kifayat Ullah. There are three halls in the Imambara. The central hall has the tomb of Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula. The minute you enter the place, you get the feels of the Nawabi era. You see these gigantic structures all around you and you imagine the kind of life they had in the era of the kings and queens. The kind of carvings and the design pattern just take you by surprise. This whole structure does not have a single pillar or beam. That information is enough to marvel you at the engineering of those times and the fact that they still stand strong and tall, is commendable. When you see people walking out of the Imambara, you see trails of awe and astonishment on their face. It is advisable to ask for a guide when you start your journey into the ‘bhool-bhulaiya’, but if you want to test your skills and instincts, then you would want to take a risk and go in without a guide. Since there are many people exploring at the same time and you get lost, you could follow them if they have a guide and pay the guide later.

Very nice place The building also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. Two imposing gateways lead to the main hall. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace but only two to come back first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture.

Well built tourist attraction of Nawab in Lucknow. The property has become more of commercial, with tourist guides earning good amount of money. Sadly despite being commercial, the money is not spent in the maintenance. The property is full of wastages like paan spits, spider-webs, food and beverage, and dust packages lying everywhere around. Thus, deteriorating the beautiful historical palace.

I wasn't able to gain access since the electronic payment methods were down but I got to visit the lawns which were nice. It was also a bit crowded which I assume was due to Eid so I didn't mind not being able to access the temple itself. Overall, a great spot for pictures!

The Bara Imambara, also known as Asafi Imambara, is another prominent historical monument in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built in the 18th century by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula and is considered one of the architectural wonders of Lucknow. While I cannot provide real-time reviews, I can describe the significance and general feedback about the Bara Imambara based on historical information. The Bara Imambara is known for its unique architectural design and structural innovation. The complex includes the main Imambara, a large hall called the Bhulbhulaiya (a maze-like network of corridors), a stepwell known as Shahi Baoli, and a beautiful mosque. Visitors often praise the grandeur and majesty of the Bara Imambara. The main attraction is the vast central hall, which has the world's largest arched roof without any external support. This architectural feat is truly impressive and leaves visitors in awe of the craftsmanship of that era. The Bhulbhulaiya is a popular feature of the Bara Imambara, known for its labyrinthine corridors that can be challenging to navigate. Visitors enjoy getting lost in the maze-like passages and trying to find their way out. The panoramic view of Lucknow from the rooftop of the Bara Imambara is also highly regarded.

The Bara Imambara of Lucknow is one of the most famous monuments in the city. The Imambara is primarily known for its incredible maze, known as Bhul Bhulaiya locally, which is located on the upper floor of the monument. It is said that there are 1024 ways to get inside the maze but only 2 to come out. Also known as Asfi Imambara, after the name of the Nawab of Lucknow who got it constructed, it is an important place of worship for the Muslims who come here every year to celebrate the religious festival of Muharram. Said to be the world's largest structure that is unsupported by beams, Bara Imambara is considered a marvel of engineering and a fine specimen of Mughal architecture. The Imambara has a unique style of construction. Moreover, no wood or metal has been used in the construction of this mosque. One can also have a view of the grave of Nawab Asaf-Ud-Dowlah and his crown, which is kept in the central hall, which is said to be the largest vaulted chamber in the world.

A relic of the late Wajid Ali Shah's ancestors. The architecture has to be admired - including the intent behind the construction. While the entire property is largely clean, we still have the uncouth visitors who care two hoots for such heritage places. The architectural marvel is evident in being able to view the main entrance both physically and also by means of reflections from the bauli - simply fantastic !

Too much restrictions too much of commercialization and rigid handling that you miss the elegance of this place. Built by the Nawab of Awadh in for Azadari remembrance, this is elegant and amusing in its construction. It has 45 ways to the inside but just two leading outside. Too many restrictions and conventional rigidities make the experience bad but this is a must visit monument in Lucknow. Take a guide if you are in a group, it helps.

One of the unique and mind boggling wonder of architectural genius of the historical times, the Bara Imambara is a must visit at Lucknow. The huge structure without any pillars, the maze of corridors called Bhulbhulaiya constructed within the walls are only to name a few of the architectural marvels that can be experienced there. However it is highly recommended to take an official guide available within the premise to find one's way out because the maze of corridors are said to have 1024 entries and only one exit. Also people with Claustrophobia should avoid this portion of the Bara Imambara. The place remains closed on Mondays. Please check the official timings of visiting the place beforehand.

Great place to explore , the bhul-bhulaiya is a must to go inside the imambara , you will definitely enjoy the history related to the place .This large structure was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784 . You need to have atleast 1 to 2 hrs to explore the whole place . The entry ticket is Rs. 50(2023) in which you can explore, bara imambara which is the same place and others which is near to the place in around 1km of range that are chota imambara and picture gallary. Once yoy get inside the bara imambara you will find guide who helps you to explore the place and will charge you a fee , do not go on what they say it is totally dependent on your bargaining skills . You will find best spots for pictures up there , however taking video is prohibited but you all know how to take those 😂. NOTE : Friday timings will differ from usual due to jumma namaz .

The place is impressive and lots of things to see. Tickets r also very reasonable. In ₹50 you can see everything inside. Guides take about 100-200₹. Guides are compulsory to visit bhool bhulaiya, which is inside the campus only. But it isn't maintained well, so that is a negative point and mostly the whole place is crowded

Very affordable prices of tickets 50 cumulative of bada imambada, chota imambada, picture gallery, bhul bhulaiya etc. Before visiting please gather some information about the place can save your nearly 200 rupees of guide. CONS - regarding authority should improve washroom facilities. Men & women have same row washroom. Very dirty and unhygienic in condition

This is the main tourist attraction of the famous city Lucknow. The place has been built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daullah. I visited this place on 01/01/2024 and that day it was extremely crowded. I have been here before and normally this place is not extremely crowded like other ASI maintained historical places over India. The ticket to enter this property and other places in Lucknow can be brought from here and it is around 50 rs per person. The legend of "bhul-bhulaiya" is real. That's why this place doesn't allow couples or single persons without a guide and normally the rate of guide per person is around 50 rs which is again negotiable. I would recommend people to come here on normal weekends, not during public holidays. Because if it is very crowded, one cannot enjoy the beauty of bhul-bhulaiya. The architecture of the buildings here is very good and enjoyable. Also near this place, the famous chowk of Lucknow is located where many famous restaurants are present. One can enjoy nawabi delicacies like awadhi Biryani, galwati kebab, Shahi Tukda, kheer etc.

One of the monuments in Lucknow that one must definitely visit. A ticket of INR 50 per head would cover Bada Imambara, Chota Imambara, Photo gallery and one more place within this complex. Guide charges are separate and depends on the size of the group, but it's pretty decent price. Photos are allowed here, but not in the main complex below. At bhool bhulaiya, photos can he taken. Videography is prohibited however. Two wheeler parking is easily available outside. Difficult to get a 4 wheeler parking tho.
