There are more than 5 different locations that appear when you'd search for Kanpur Airport. If you've to take a flight from Kanpur then it's the right location for the newly inaugurated airport. Other airports aren't operated for general public and the information available on Google Maps is not accurate. Hope it helps.

For a small airport i really liked this one. Located within the air force campus the airport is away from the usual rush which is seen at airports. Daily some 5 flights only operate so no much crowd, the security line, luggage checkin all gets over in 10min. Sufficient seating space for everyone. N its clean.

this airport is small cute and with full of co-operative people, you might get huge airports like delhi and mumbai, but but but... you wont get staff like you can get it at kanpur airport. overall a nice experience.

Small Airport neatly maintained. Part of military place and limited flight operations. Hope things will improve and good thing is public support which is overwhelming. Most of the time flights are operated with full capacity irrespective of weekday or weekend. Over all it is a good airport

When i was visited airport first time i was wondered that that place was so futuristic and well adjusted✈️. Inside the airport, that was really really beautiful and clean✈️. I stayed an hour and realized that it was so peaceful place rather planes are passing rapidly✈️. Parking place was also nice or i can say parking place just not for car it was also designed for both car and driver✈️. The best thing of the airport was the huge and giant flag which reflects the shine and that was so patriotic🛬. Just like the first time i was wondered if it would be a good idea to have a selfie with my friend to upload to Facebook so i can make my other friends to feel jealous✈️. When I enter into the plane first time i was shocked that it was too small not like i had seen in movies✈️. The whole thing was i really feeling bad for those people who were not even visited this airport but Mumbai Airport was three levels next compared to this air port and i forget all the things of this airport✈️❄️❄️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

This is the new terminal building of Kanpur Chakeri Airport, approx 2.5 Kms away from old terminal. It's have all modern facilities along with 400 vehicle parking. An E bus is also operating from here to connect IIT-K.

Far Far better than Kanpur Old Airport , this new airport is 3.5km ahead from old airport . Gives you a excellent hassle free road to travel till airport , bit of network issue but enough to post this review with a picture .

Quaint little airport. Not so much for facilities or amenities but a great relief for people staying in kanpur or neighbouring areas. Need more direct flights to metro cities other than Delhi

It was okay. The checks were quick due to less people. There is no conveyor belt for the luggage and also the washrooms are very small and dirty. The management should take proper actions regarding this.

I have been to 10+ airports in India in Metro and Non-Metro cities. This was my first ever visit to Kanpur City and first flight boarding from Kanpur airport. Overwhelmed by the people and the food in the city. Best thing is convenient connectivity to the airport from city by public transport. In just Rs.15/- bus dropped me at the entry gate of Airport, which is nowhere else to be seen in anywhere across India.....either i have to get a cab or premium priced Airport Bus service in all other cities.

Easily accessible, small airport with basic amenities. Check in counter, security checking and plane boarding areas are at a very short distance from the parking space (hardly 150 to 200 meters). Not much crowded. Checking in and security screening did not take long but it is advisable to keep some extra time in hand as there is only one security screening counter.

This is the newly developed modern Chakeri airport. It is situated at a distance of around 2 to 3 kilometers from the old airport (which has now been closed). It is beautifully made although a bit small as compared to major airports but larger than the old airport (area of 6,243 sqm (16 times bigger than the old terminal) and is equipped to handle 400 passengers during peak hours, as compared to 50 passengers earlier). The terminal building's façade depicts the iconic JK Temple of Kanpur, while the interiors are themed around local elements like textiles, leather industries, and notable figures. It showcases Kanpur's culture and heritage for visitors. There are eight check-in counters and three conveyor belts (one in the departure hall and two in the arrival hall). Domestic flights arrive and depart from here. Generally, Indigo flights fly from here to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai etc using Gate 2 for boarding. Parking is available. It has all the modern facilities including washrooms, parking, food and beverage outlets, LED lighting etc. The terminal has 150 car parking spaces and two spaces for bus parking on the city side.

Most awaited Kanpur new civil Airport is now open for public. In side the airport very nicely architect all about beautiful and historical places of Kanpur.

Very poor amenities, being Kanpur as such a big city, it has to be renovated and constructed on war footing basis.I have given 2 ratings just because it became convenient to board the flights from Kanpur and reduction in travel time. There are so much crowding inside the airport due to space limitations. Last 2 years may be due to COVID-19 no improvement, hope to see the improvements in next one year🙏🙏🙏

You can fly during day time only, between Sunrise to sunset. Neat & clean Airport. Staff is so cooperative. Wheel chair facility avilable. CISF security is avilable. It's nearby 3.5 KM from Rama devi & HAL.

This is military airport but for last few years civil flights have been started. Regular flights for Delhi and Mumbai are available. Spice jet and Indigo are operating these flights. The building of the airport is very simple and needs root level renovation and reconstruction.

The best one

A good starter airport which is low volume operation currently but a breather for the kanpur populace. Could have been a very easy 5 star airport for the size if they had picked or continued to review their one and only food vendor. The directions for the airport are clear and the staff at the airport are friendly, very accommodating and patient. Checkin was a breeze and the staff though not very communicative were very accommodating with respect to helping you with the process for especially new fliers. The food corner is something you don’t want to rely upon and is most likely for the uninformed (and here you have been informed). Eat before you come to the airport. Pack food for yourself and family if needed with the city being able to provide food options for all people on earth. As a whole the experience is not bad but the operators will bring it to the level of how well and often they are held accountable. Good luck Kanpur.

Good but needs more improvement

Good initiative for giving a commercial airport to kanpur, but i needs more management. There is a single checkout counter for indigo which usually results in long queues. Also for arrivals , there is no conveyor belt system , all the luggage is manually brought in and the people need to claim the called bags. Needs a lot of improvement

It's little small for commercial flight. But very good supporting staff. Easy - bag checkin, carry bag scanning, security check all are in close proximity so very helpful for Bignner and on top of staff is very well mannered and doing there task perfectly. Parking and Enterance is designed in such a way to reduce the blocking. I feel they should take little more care of Lauggage as its totally manual.

I feel proud to post this review. This is regarding my first visit to my city kanpur airport. Still the place is under construction but I've found the place neat and clean. We can reach the place through ramadevi route. the selection of the airport place is also good as I don't see any traffic in that area. Parking is also available @35 per hour. Ive not found any food court or bakers shop outside the airport so do keep ur necessary eatables from ramadevi market if needed. Happy Journey ❣️

Newly constructed Terminal. Currently only Indigo flight services available for selected cities. Airport is quite bigg. Food stall inside the airport. Big waiting area.

Proud to see such nice Airport built in such less time . New terminal building is just amazing better than lot of other airports of bigger cities.

Disaster if I have to put in one word, arrival hall is a tent, pre-paid taxis are exorbitant, no app taxis available, and AAI has audacity to charge UDF.

Most important thing to remember is that Kanpur is connected to metro cities by air. It's a very small airport. Came from Mumbai to Kanpur by Indigo flight. Experienced arrival segment of the airport. Arrivals section is a makeshift temporary structure of tent. Luggage is manually delivered. Toilets are small. New airport building is under construction.

It has become very feasible for kanpuraiyas to catch the flights for long distances from our place only than going to Lucknow.

Seriously this is very cheap Behaviour From Staff, seriously they start shouting on me when i ask to rule book regarding Mask, They dont have Manner to talk with Customer, Seriously I'll Lodge Complaint against airport in DGCA.

Awful. Disorganised, chaotic, not served by even any half-decent public transportation. There aren't enough seats for the number of passengers the airport is meant to serve. The only positive thing is that clean, cold drinking water is available. The staff on duty do not make any attempt to maintain any orderliness and their job is made harder by the insufficient space for passengers. The passengers are even more unruly than other small airports in Northern India, which is saying something. Avoid this place unless it's absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, the railway stations aren't very good either, and buses are significantly worse. It seems to me that travelers to and from Kanpur simply have to grit their teeth and tolerate these indignities and extreme discomfort. If a person has a disability and isn't very wealthy, they simply have no practical options.

Kanpur Airport has had a massive upgrade and it has come a long way in the last 5 years, and looks very nice now. I hope this airport keeps expanding in future because I definitely see enough traffic to/from Kanpur. The staff at Kanpur Airport is very friendly, including the security staff. The only problem I face here is the lack of WiFi because I don't have an Indian phone number, and I solely rely on WiFi for communication. Hopefully they fix it in future.

This is one of the best airports that i have been to in India. I had the fastest check out ever on this airport. The plane lands, you get off the plane and get to the taxi within 2 mins. No hassle of bus and long corridors. Even if you had check in luggage, it will be put out quickly. You don't need to wait for converter belt delivering it to you.

It's good that we now, need not have to go to lukhnow to catch a flight. But the airport is still undeveloped. There is no conveyer belt. It's difficult for passengers to collect their baggage.
