The station has undergone a lot of renovation and construction in the last few years and has changed a lot. It has two side entrance one from the Ghantaghar side and the other from the cantt side. The station is very huge , has got 2 staircases and 1 underpass to cross the tracks . The underpass is very spacious, clean and has optimum lightings . The station is comparatively cleaner than before. The station has especially got lifts for senior citizens and specially challenged people. A wi-fi is also available at the station but it doesn't covers the whole length of the station, it is majorly situated at the core of the station. The station is also bought a used parking for two wheelers and four wheelers. The best part of the station was that it was well lit and all sorts of board signs and signals are adequately present.

By and large the platforms are comparatively clean. However, the diligent efforts of the cleaning staff notwithstanding, passengers continuously litter the platforms, specially the busier platforms. Tea, coffee, samosa, bread pakora & other snacks as well as packaged snacks ate available for almost 24 hours.

It has definitely improved wrt infrastructure, cleanliness and other facilities. Platform 1 was clean though they still need to improve on better seating capacity, food and clean drinking water. Hawkers were minimum so you had ample space to walk. Can be improved further to put smile on traveller's face. Do enjoy the local food when you visit.

Nearby auto and cab service available and station provides different Trains to New Delhi, Bihar and UP which should be maintained in such manner that every passenger get seats. There is really very crowd in all the trains and seat availability is also hard in all the trains. Indian Railways must provide more facilities in all train coaches and smoking fines should also be kept. Overall there is so much ways that must be kept in mind by Indian Railways for Facilities.

Its a great Station with the Ancient architecture, and there is some renovation work going on, well be aware of the monkeys though, as they will snatch food items from your hand.

One of the largest Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh. So many lines connecting from New Delhi to Rajasthan Bihar to Madhya Pradesh and some others also. This is the main Station in between Delhi-Howarah and Rajasthan-Orissa. Each Train passing through this station stops here for various minutes. There is huge seating area at this station and have 9 platforms to divide the crowd and halts for different Trains. This Station has different sides exit i.e One side of the platform is Cantt Side exit and another side is City side exit. Even if someone wants to stay at this station there is a facility available of Dormitory, Single Bed Rooms, Double Bed Rooms etc. You can book this at Railway Station on Cantt side with your PNR number or you can book it online..

It's a clean railway station. Covid guidelines are being followed but not completely. Autowala and cabs are available but the prices they charge are not so high as compared to ola and uber.

I recently visited Kanpur Central Railway Station and was quite impressed with the overall experience. The station is well maintained, clean and well organised. The staff at the station were friendly and helpful. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable. The ticket counter was easily accessible and the staff was knowledgeable. There were ample food stalls available for refreshments and snacks. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a convenient and comfortable railway station.

The kanpur railway station has saw some remarkable changes in recent years... cleanliness of platform is taken care of in every minute...however the garbage in rail tracks remains a challenge... Grt stoppage before entering delhi for trains from east side It has 9platforms (also the 10th one is bit fr away) There are approx 3-4 small stoppage near it. Grt area it has two opening (one towards kanpur central or city, other is khown as ghanta ghar side(9th platform)) Ticket booking is available both side Rest sapace is available both side. Kanpur metro will be connected to 9th platform side(it's under construction now)
