I am of Jhansi and before starting shopping mall culture it was the only market were one could get fashion clothing and assesories but now time has changed and all big brands have there outlets in shopping malls. Now kanpur development authority has taken steps to restructure the market which I feel is good step to attract again shoppers again. I visited yesterday and my experience is better then earlier visits but more cleanliness is required.

This is the kind of traffic one will usually get in day and evening hours. But a fine market if u r interested in having variety of food. Tunday and gilaauti kabab are famous, gol gappe with 7 flavours stalls r not to be missed. For purchasing other items like leatger stuff, Messtin road is on the left side of this market and Thaggu k laddoo are also not to be missed on the same road.
