Don't think this place to be like the National Parks or Bird Sanctuary but yeah it's okay. There's seriously no maintainence here except for the people who claim themselves to be the officials/authorities ,offer you receipt for car parking whilst there is no car parking structure or lot. Coming to the place it is good with no cleanliness whatsoever. The foreign birds used to come here in winter but since the weather has drastically changed over the years, their numbers have significantly decreased. Government completely ignoring this place is evident. There are no sightseeing benches or stands, and Dengue Mosquitoes have a home in here. Give a visit if you want to see natural scenic beauty, (kinda!!!) and nothing can disappoint you whatsoever. The place is easily accessible from Chhibramau, Saurikh and Indergarh.

It's a beautiful wetland area. Exploring would take nearly 2 hours or more depends on what engages you. The bird life is in abundance, I experienced nearly 30 species of wetland birds in 2 days. The Lak lake which is almost 5 kms from the area holds bird species too. Some of them were- Grey Heron, Cormorant, Graylag Goose, Lesser Whistling Duck, Ruddy Shelduck, Pintail, Jacana, Painted Stork, Osprey, Kingfishers etc. Not to forget, the nearby stretches are also a home to terrestrial birds such as Parakeet, Crested Serpented Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Hoopoe etc.

Underated place, difficult to find though. Difficult for 4 wheeler to reach to this century. August is not a good time, migratory birds comes in month of November. But very peaceful. There is no entry fees as such, I saw one guesthouse not sure if it's for everyone or just the forest officals.

This lake is full of migrated birds in winter. It is remotly situated and requires attention of Government. Funds may be alloted.

Lac Bahosi Bird Sanctuary was created in 1988 with the aim of conservation and protection of wetlands with special emphasis on local and migratory birds, conservation of their natural habitat including aquatic plants and animals. The Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai (BNHS) has also listed this sanctuary as one of the 'Important Bird Areas' sites. This wetland has been included in the list of wetlands under the National Wetland Conservation Program by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. Lakh Bahosi Bird Sanctuary has two main lakes, namely Lakh and Bahosi named after the respective villages. Every year around 50 thousand waterfowl visit this sanctuary between November and March. This wetland serves as a nesting as well as breeding habitat for some birds. Thus, the sanctuary has become an attractive destination for bird lovers as well as tourists over the years. Lakh Bahosi Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary spread across two lakes (shallow lakes) near the villages of Lakh and Bahosi (4 km away) in Kannauj district. It is about 40 km from Kannauj. Primarily a bird sanctuary with a rich variety of avifauna, species from 49 of the total 97 habitats in India can be seen in the sanctuary. It is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in India, covering 80 sq km, including a stretch of the upper Ganga canal. The sanctuary hosts a variety of migratory birds from November to March. Jackal, blue bull, mongoose, fishing cat and monkeys can also be seen here. An isolated lake in the nearby village of Lakh hosts some of the same species, although the relative ecology is somewhat different. The best time to visit is December to February.

Silent place.. with the seasonal birds from various countries during winter season can be seen in this place... Generally winter season is good to visit... Spread over 3 km2 beside the Bahosi Lake, the sanctuary is home to various migratory birds from November to March. Jackal, blue bull, mongoose, fishing cat and monkeys may also be spotted here. A separate lake at nearby Lakh village hosts some similar species, though the relative ecology is somewhat different. The best time to visit is December to February. Lakh Bahosi Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary spread over two jheels (shallow lakes) near the villages of Lakh and Bahosi (abt 4 km apart) in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh. It is about 40 km from Kannauj. Primarily a bird sanctuary, species from 49 genera (of the 97 inhabiting India) can be seen at the sanctuary. It is one of India's larger bird sanctuaries, covering 80 km2 including also a stretch of the Upper Ganges canal Spread over 3 km2 beside the Bahosi Lake, the sanctuary is home to various migratory birds from November to March. Jackal, blue bull, mongoose, fishing cat and monkeys may also be spotted here. A separate lake at nearby Lakh village hosts some similar species, though the relative ecology is somewhat different. The best time to visit is December to February.

Sanctuary for Migratory birds, thousands of them land in December. This is just a feeding ground, in the evenings they fly away to safer locations. If visiting carry food and water.

Quite a remote place to reach.. you have to go very deep inside village. It was even more disappointing to see that maintenance of this bird sanctuary was near to zero. although bird diversity was present there.

Lakh Bahosi is a Bird Sanctuary. In winter you can visit here to see many migrant birds 🐦. Earlier huge varieties of migrant birds visit here during winter season. But due to bad management and lack of water & trees 🌳, recently visitor birds numbers have been reduced. But in winter you can locate so many migrant birds 🐦 here. Lakh & Bahosi two different places and you can visit them separately. You can reach out to this bird Sanctuary from Agra Lucknow express way. It's pretty far from Kannauj city, so please manage accordingly. I hope government or government officials will start looking into this and things will change. Crane/Saras you can see 👀 here. For bird lovers this is great place to visit. Happy visiting birds 🐦 🦜 😇.

The place is good but not worth visiting as a tourist place because nothing is maintained here. Many efforts are required to make the place beautiful. On the other hand yes you can find different types of birds in the winter session.

I am sure the trip was very Memorable for me and my family where we had a great time . There are lots of migrant birds were spotted i am not sure about the individuals name but they looking so pleasing in eyes . Lakh Bahosi has not a very well organised place by Govt of UP there are no such highways and promotions on roads to promote this beautiful location where a thousand of tourist can come and visit . I think as my observation govt should plan some schemes to promote . Rest all was a good experience .
