This barrage on river Ganga is a very cool place. You can visit multiple times and still can enjoy each visit. It's nice, clean, maintained and well managed. Several Maggie and Chai points are there if you would wish have something to eat and spend some more time there. Note: Just that if illiterate people do not trash thier leftovers then this could be one best place in Kanpur.

Very best place to enjoy the flow of ganga in kanpur...if you are there then don't forget to try maggie there. Water treatment plant is also there so enjoy visiting here. One more thing please don't go into the water because flow is very irregular and deep places are also there.

Nice place for evening spot with beautiful scenes of holy river ganga and dam. The are is more amazing when barrage gates open and water flows and make whirlpool near it. Evening time choupati (food stalls) bites makes much more fun and enjoyment here. So try this place when free or want a picnic nearby kanpur city

You can get the best view of mother Ganga River. Also small stalls for icecream, corn and tea stalls are present. You can see the Ganga Aarti very clearly from here. The aarti happens at Kanpur Boat Club very near to the Barrage. There are Hundreds of Maggi Point so to enjoy the view with some food
