Staffing issues be dam***d, but you could update your Google page to say take out only. Instead we drove all the way here with our kid for his birthday and open the door to see a sign saying "Take out only, staffing issues" or something. And that really stinks and I'm empathetic to that, but update all of your pages so folks don't go out of their way for nothing. Gas is expensive man.

Pizza is always delicious! Been coming here for years. Don't waste your time with the cheese bread!!!!!! The bathroom is disgustingly old and outdated. But I just came for the 🍕 so it's all good!!

Just want people to know my 17 yr old son was using their change machine to get $20.00 in quarters which is what the machine was for and she banned him and was yelling at him. Yes he yelled back because after all he is 17 and wasn't going to take being yelled at by someone who is supposed to be professional. I think she was ( just an opinion though) They called the cops while cussing my son out! Again not professional... like seriously lady if you don't want your change machine used post a OUT OF ORDER ON IT...Everyone who eats there they like to come at minors.

Used to be a great place. Memories Galore. The problem is they shut down the inside probably because of the pandemic. But now I think that's just an excuse. Their Pizza is okay there was always the atmosphere that made the difference. I won't go back until they open up the inside. Order Pizza Hut.

Tonight we ate here.(November 25,2023) The manager on duty went well above and beyond our expectations! My burrito wasn't warm, so he fixed it with a piping hot one immediately. Then he helped me out to the vehicle and made sure I was in and ready to go. Thank you for being so kind to us! God Bless you sir!

Funhouse has tasted the exact same for the thirty years that I’ve been going to it. Cheese to the edges, toppings in excess, we’ll cooked and let corn on the bottom at first. Sauce is the same, hamburger tastes the same… this is as Kansas City as pizza gets and well worth going to often. Arcade games and pinball are really great and inexpensive. Very local when it comes to high school support. Some place I always go to while I’m at home.

This is no longer the "Fun House" that i remembered growing up. The place had 4 people in there on a Saturday evening. A tiny tv. no music playing....no kids playing games....its obvious all they care about now is carry out. The guy taking the order was super rude. He said they no longer sell pitchers of beer so i asked for 4 bottles for me and another person.....he said nope cant do it. We were still eating around 830pm when the workers put up every chair in the place and then stared at us like they wanted us to get out. I was very sad to see what its become. Its no longer that lively...loud....packed house of fun it used to be ! i can only hope someone will take it over and bring it back to its former glory !

I'm coming from Germany to eat pizza here. 25 years ago i lived on the block next door and fun house was on the table almost every day. And even after 25 years it's the best pizza i've ever eaten!

Staff was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that they had customers. The younger girl at counter rolled her eyes when we asked if there was any specials going on; and then mumbled her answer as she turned her head away from us. Never heard what she said. The older lady, with white hair, refused to help my nephew at the counter with a togo box, just starred at him. He waited there for 3 minutes before someone else finally helped him. She also threw my cup of sweet tea so hard into the sink when I asked for something different that it splashed over and onto counter and myself. The tea tasted days old. Pizza was delicious. But staff is reason we won't be back to dine with our out of town guests again.

We ordereda LG Pizza. Wings& a kids meal. We didn't get our fruit snacks or drink for our kid meal !! I've messaged twice but Noone cares that we were shorted & ripped off Management doesn't even care to make it right. So disappointing Will never order here again Highly disappointed 😞 that Management doesn't care to correct or fix THERE PROBLEMS. NEVER ORDERING HEre AGAIN, 40hwy fun house sucks. Low quality sides. Not An updated online menu, nor did they try to fix there mistake . Horrible service. O listening skills and stole my $ I paid for the food we did not receive. 0 out of 0 stars This fun sucks . . Independence 40 hwy location is one of the original. Maybe the last of the them. The pizza is always great. The decor is quaint and benefits from having not been a densely smoky room for several years now. As a kid over 30 years ago it was a blast to ride the mechanical horses and see bands play on the tiny stage.

I recently visited this nostalgic pizza place to treat my grandpa, and it exceeded expectations. The charming atmosphere, complete with old arcade games and quarter machines, transported me back in time. The establishment proudly reps the Chiefs. The staff was not only pleasant but also added to the overall warmth of the experience. Highly recommended for a delightful trip down memory lane!

Been coming here before I was born.( mom and dad were life long patrons) I've moved away from independence but still come grab a large every chance I get. I hope funhouse stays around forever. Tina and her crew work very hard to keep this establishment going. My favorite pizza for sure.

Just love this place. ........been going since I was a little kid. Listening to the bands Play, riding the horse......do t know if it still is.....but use to be free.......just had to share .....but the best pizza by far!!!

Funhouse pizza has been my all time top rate favorite pizza since 1970. There in NO pizza that is better than FunHouse.

Ordered 3 Large pizzas for warehouse staff I work with. Gone in less than 5 minutes. Everyone was loved and wish I got more.

Love their pizza, love the fluffy, bubbly yet crispy crust. Little bit pricey. Don't order mushrooms toppings, they're canned instead of fresh for some dumb reason. Probably someone somewhere likes that but I don't. Also the onion rings are terrible, like what you'd expect from a prison cafeteria in Missouri.

Pizzas had more toppings than I've ever seen. Staff was super sweet and attentive. Love the old school arcade games.

Been going there for over 30 years, it’s the best pizza in Kansas City, not the most fancy place, but unique with a lot of history. Take a look at the pizza ovens! We are talking old style with old taste, better then “gourmet” pizza and priced fairly.

They are open for carryout and curbside. Fairly decent pizza, could of used more sauce for my taste. My wife on the other hand loved it.

Used to come here a lot as a kid and have great memories. Came to meet a group of coworkers for my going away party, when we pushed a table together to accommodate our larger group (about 8-10), we were told that we couldn't do that. It wasn't packed or anything maybe one or two more tables were occupied the whole time we were there. I asked if there was another table to accommodate a larger group and was met with a rude answer of no and the guy walked off. The food is good. The staff not so great.

They have always had one of the best pizzas in town, for years I have had their pizza. At least 50 yrs. Keep up the good food.

This is my favorite Pizza Place. Miss the one that used to be on 24 hiway in Independence. Grew up on the munchie and sleeping on two stools together while my folks danced. My dad even delivered for extra cash.

I’ve been eating here since the doors opened in the 60’s 👍🏼 and the delicious taste hasn’t changed a bit. The ovens are seasoned and cooks the pizza perfectly. I used to live 2 miles down the road, until 1985, when I moved 43 miles away, and I still eat here ❤️ this pizza is that GOOD! I’ve never wavered from an Italian sausage with Canadian bacon and extra cheese. I’ve told all my friends, near and far about this outstanding pizza. Some have agreed and the others said they’ve never been but will surely go now 👍🏼. It’s the BEST pizza in the land, you’ll thank me after you’ve eaten it. You’re welcome. 👍🏼❤️
