If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First of all I waited in line for two hours only to watch the “securities” friends to be let in before me with just two minutes of arrival. Second of all, they charged me $40 after the person in front of me was charged $20. When I asked why they said the GM said that would be the price because chiefs players were there. There were no chiefs players. Only people wearing chiefs jerseys. Great experience guys! Don’t waste your time or money here.

Had the mad hatter area in VIP reserved for a birthday party. The bottle service was great and the wait staff were very nice and helpful. One of the members of our party went outside to get some air, and was refused re-entry by security. He was probably hammered so that's not terrible I guess. But he was upset at being refused re-entry for no reason. Later that same night, security came into the VIP are and attempted to shake one of the party members that had too much to drink and was resting her head. This unnecessary physical interaction was followed by the remainder of the party being forcibly removed from the location by security. All of this could have been avoided if security had any people skills, or would have simply communicated effectively. Unfortunately it's clear that they do not care for their customers or their customers safety. After spending $700 I would have expected to be treated with some respect. For these reasons I will not be returning, and I would recommend everyone take their business elsewhere. Very disappointed with this experience

Forget this place! Security guards are very selective. They only care about how much money you give them so they can pocket it and make a profit from it. Don’t come here, they’ll make you wait in line unless they’re “cool” with you. Don’t even waste your time on this place, UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND TWO HOURS IN LINE!!!

I ordered a side salad that was big enough for a meal. It was fresh and delicious with corn bread croutons. There were LOTS of cucumbers which were not listed on the menu I (#allergygirl) picked them out one by one! Worth it but be aware if you don’t like them. I also had the green Chile chicken tacos. Wow! Delicious

Friends and I wanted go to Ale House for the Chiefs game. We didn’t end up going. They wanted go charge $20 per person!!! Ridiculous for the cover charge. We ended up at PNL and got in for free!

The Westport Ale House had an excellent deck for when the weather is good. We were there on a beautiful day of 72 degrees. At 4:30, the place was pretty empty. By 5:30, the deck had quite a few people. The food wasn't anything to write home about. Standard fried bar fare can be had for reasonable prices. I gave them an extra star for the bartender was extremely friendly and went out of his way to provide good service.

Our big conference group (at least 40 people) came in last minute due to a mechanical error closing the restaurant we had originally planned to have our event (only one hour before the event!) We enjoyed playing music bingo and food was delicious. It was only $7 during Happy Hour for my chicken tender meal. Drinks were well made.

White male bartender/security with beard was very rude to me. He ignored me at the bar to fix drinks for his favorites. I had to say excuse me several times then he yelled at me and said, “You saying excuse me isn’t going to make me acknowledge you any faster”! I said,”All I wanted was to know is that you see me. He gave me a hand to my face and became even louder while continuing to pass over me. All I wanted was water because it was hot and I felt dizzy. He never took my order & told another waitress to not serve me as well. Rude for no reason.

Go early for a good parking spot & good table/seat. After 10PM $5 at the door & have your ID out also. The staff on the rooftop were awesome specifically our server Tommi, she was nice, helpful. BEWARE the place packs up really quickly & is super LIVE!! The bartenders mixes the drinks perfectly. The DJ could use some better beats/hits. It's an ENERGETIC TIME! Rooftop closes at 1AM

Fair beer selection. With the name alehouse, I'd expect more, but not too bad of a selection. Came here with friends for quick bite, beer before an event. Food marginal at best, pretty bad actually. Blackened chicken nachos came out cool, 15 minutes before my friend's food ever saw the light of day. Nachos totally cold in 3 minutes. Chicken looked poached, no seasoning at all, no grill marks, quite pale and nondescript, certainly not blackened. Came out on tray with paper lining, got soggy, tore and came off with food. Paper tasted better than the food. Service was beyond pathetic, had to get my own napkins, utensils.

Westport Ale House has a great location with a vibrant vibe at nighttime! The "Larger Than Life' Mahomes art mural on the side of the building has drawn in quite a crowd recently. During holidays Ale House always has lines waiting outside to get into the fun atmosphere of the bar. The nighttime is a bit too loud and crazy for my preference, however during the day I found it to be quite chill. I do like the variety of handcrafted beers on tap and diverse selection of spirits. The staff are helpful in answering questions and happy to have you there. During the warmer months live music is hosted on their outdoor balcony on the top deck which is a fun time. If you can handle the crowds, Ale House is a great spot to chill over drinks!

Tons of televisions for watching sports - especially fun if Kansas City or an area team has a big game. Huge rooftop patio which makes good weather even better. Tends to get pretty overrun at night on the weekends - long lines to get in and an overly yuppy crowd. You get what you sign up for.

Looks like a great place! We sat at a table and my husband ordered drinks at bar. Waitress came over and gave us menus and said she would be back. Was looking forward to ordering the poppers but we finished our drinks and she never came back. We had seen her sitting and chatting. We left. Maybe next time service will be better.

It would’ve been 5 stars but we asked bartender to cancel order due to us having to leave. Bartender said she would be a could it had been over 30 min and no refund. She didn’t seem like she wanted to or was even trying to give us a refund. She was the girl with the curly gear red chiefs sweatshirt and black pants. I understand it can be overwhelming I’ve been a bartender before but don’t be rude, don’t be mean, do your job. If it’s too much then it’s just not for you.

Went here for a work event and the service was amazing. The pizza was seriously the best and drinks were perfect. I’ve also been here during the weekend evenings such a fun atmosphere and great music. I recommend this place if you want to have fun, great service and food.

I went to Ale House for Memorial Day weekend with my family to commemorate my late grandmother and a Black male bartender with pink hair accused my family and I of not paying for a tab. We eagerly tried to show him the invoice via bank statements on a phone, but he refused to service us and ordered security to remove us from the establishment. I have never been treated so poorly for something I didn’t do - and when we attempted to calmly explain ourselves we were accused of arguing. My cousin did talk to the manager who ultimately did say we could stay in the bar, but we were so humiliated that we just left.

There was a black male bartender with pink hair who falsely accused my family and I of attempting not to pay our tab. I spoke to the Manager and he ultimately allowed us to stay in the establishment but the ordeal was humiliating. Especially considering we were coherent, and tipped will the entire night and paid our bills promptly. This is a night club that I frequent, but the manner in which I was treated by the black male bartender with pink hair was completely unacceptable and unwarranted.

If I could give zero stars I would!! Ale house opens at 11am, but for the past 2 weekends we’ve had to stand in line until 11:25….. THEN they have the nerve to still charge $20+ right at open. The manager is very unprofessional & rude . Just letting their favorites cut the line after others have been standing, WAITING ‼️‼️ Go elsewhere to watch the games

Love the TVs. layout is awesome. Not a lot of food choices but that’s fine. Pizza and sports. Full bar and quick service. My issue is: A Sports bar should mean no Justin Bieber, sad songs, etc etc etc. If I could find the DJ or whoever that thinks it’s appropriate to blare cheesy music during football Sunday I’d slap them on the hand and say cut it out. Haha. Set the mood for sports REGARDLESS the team. Save your money on the DJ; it isn’t needed for football. Just my priceless two cents. Haha.

Everything about ale house shows a love for Kansas City sports and the community. Any day any time you want, they have the food, the music and the atmosphere you want in a sports bar and establishment. One of my all time favorites

I have attended many work events at the Ale House and always have a great experience. The service and food are great. It's a fun atmosphere with lots of TVs and a nice rooftop with games, full bar, and lots of seating.

Great place for high-energy sports watching. The DJ plays through commercial breaks and my friends and I always have a great time here watching the Chiefs or KU basketball. It's almost always packed, so be prepared. I always get their fries, but I'd also recommend their wings, buffalo chicken sandwich, or their chicken nachos.

Went there for a work event and had a great time. First off the rooftop is amazing. We had so much fun out there! The food was really good and the nachos was definitely my favorite. Thanks Alehouse for a fun day!!

I was there with a group of friends on Wednesday watching the Royals game and really had a good time! Food was excellent, service was spot on and the viewing experience is stellar. The wings stood out to me as being especially very very good. I highly recommend.

I used to enjoy going here, but I cannot support this business after reading comments about how poorly the management handled the death of a young man last week at their business. Someone needs to be held accountable for this tragedy that occurred.

Loved my beer and some of the food. But I ordered pup dogs, that on the menu said came with yellow mustard and ketchup. It came with honey mustard so I just asked for mustard and they brought me more honey mustard because that’s all they carry they said. I asked another bartender if they were just out of mustard or never carried it. She said they don’t have it and that the pretzels come with a spicy mustard if I wanted it. I happened to get the pretzels too which actually also came with honey mustard as one of the sauces. I don’t like honey mustard or ketchup so I only ate one of my corn dogs. Just a tad annoying that on the menu it says yellow mustard on the pup dogs and then honey mustard on all the other ones. They never offered to take care of it even after seeing that I didn’t eat it so I just gave it to my friend to take it home considering I was paying for it regardless. Would just like some consistency, thanks. ✨

Delicious food and great upstairs deck with outdoor seating. Our server was fantastic and gave us tips about the area. I wish I could remember her name. We would definitely go back!
