I went with friends for the wings and live jazz/r&b. This place did not disappoint! Wings were delicious, drinks were on point and the music was perfect. Made me feel like I was back home in NOLA! Shout out to the bartender- she was the only one there for the first 2 hours and she kept food and drinks flowing. This is a perfect place for a date or to just chill and listen to good music. I will definitely be back.

Delicious food, strong drinks, good music. Not enough line dances played even after asking multiple times. Saturday nights are dead. 💀They could use a little work! Also having a $5 re-entry fee is ridiculous in many ways. Just stamp hands. Our bartender at the bar was beautiful AND amazing! She did an excellent job with our drinks & being so pleasant. Also appreciated security doing there job and removing a man harassing my friend. Good looking out!! 🚨(no cops just security) 😅 If you want to go stick to Fridays. Or if ur a guy, there were more ladies on Saturdays so u would like that. 😅

Had a blast, the food was hot and fresh as ordered. I had fried catfish, gumbo and corn bread. The show host was funny and gave a great opening show. The local talent sounded good and rehearsed and the band represented them well. The drinks were good and my tab was surprisingly cheap, a nice spot to chill at and hear live local talent!

Some red head girl there name DeAnn hair short on one side long on the other worked tonight 2/27 and didn’t want to take anyone’s order all night in her area that she would have to walk too far. Was very unprofessional and just ghetto if I had to be honest. There was only 3 other waitresses and 100 people. The other bartender playing, walking slow, skipping people just so much attitude that’s why I’d rather go to Soiree on vine.

My friend took me here for my birthday the performer's name was Kim, this lady was totally awesome. I absolutely loved her performance, the band was great as well. We did order food and it was delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. She kept up with us and made sure that we had everything we need. The club itself was clean and nice. There is also an outside sitting area. There were two different places where you could take pictures. Really good time I definitely would recommend you going there.

I enjoyed the atmosphere. People were dancing the Kansas City two step. The crowd was grown and sexy. I don't drink much but my go to is Crown Royal Apple when I'm looking for a quick buzz for courage to dance. I ordered two double shots on the rocks...nothing. $36 dollars with no buzz made me think it was watered down or the pour was not correct. I talked with management who gave me a shot neat on the house. Took a pic of it drank it of course and did not get on the dance floor. Lol. Anyway, the place is cool just have a couple of drinks before getting there and take an uber. Problem solved.

We came here because another jazz club was closed. I am SO glad that we did! The food and service was Impeccable! The jazz band playing this evening were skilled and entertaining. The staff were so hospitable and helpful, this will be my permanent jazz destination in the future. The fried catfish was juicy with the crisp finish and the wings are to die for! Thank you, other jazz venue, for allowing me to explore this diamond in the rough! ❤️

This place is all that a jazz dive should be. Strong drinks, smooth music and dancing, friendly waitstaff and delicious soul/barfood. A fun night with work friends I won't soon forget!

Hadn't tried the food, so I can't comment on that, but my wife and I had a drink (which was fast, well made & by friendly staff) ("Long island iced tea" & a "Mary Pickford") the atmosphere was great! Live bands sang fantastic songs (both original and covers) and we had an amazing time listening to the music and enjoying the atmosphere and phenomenal people around us. I definitely recommend this place! It was our first time there, but I guarantee it won't be our last!

Attended Monday night Soul session. 7/31/2023, Let's just say the entertainment was on 🔥. We were celebrating my girlfriend's 70th birthday. We had the best time. The service was good, shout to Ms. Tee she was a great waitress, and the food was lip smacking good . We had a variety from shrimp to fried, whiting 😋 it was quiet while we eating had to concentrate on a delicious plate. After food, it was party time. It was a great time had by all. Four people were in attendance. Yes, we will return.

The bartenders are so kind and personable. They make excellent drinks. You definitely get what you pay for! The juke offers a grown and sexy vibe while still being a low key spot you can enjoy yourself in.

Went in and was immediately discriminated against by the one black lady up front, she killed the whole vibe and I instantly wanted to leave. When I did manage to get through, for some reason the food took at least 30 minutes to come out when there wasn’t many guests. The food was delicious but the rice was mushy like mash potatoes. The music and live music was good and it was definitely a vibe after being seated.

Door man was rather rude thankfully I'm not ashamed of my age. Waitress was very nice and I enjoyed MC & DJ's energy they were awesome. I just wouldn't tell anyone because of the way I was treated coming into the establishment.

I went here two nights in a row simply because I felt like it was a grown and sexy atmosphere. My second night I did have an issue with the food, but the managers were very accommodating. The food was good the first night, but the second night, not so much. But they did fix it, so I have to give them five stars because the customer service was wonderful. They wanted to make sure that I was happy. So, Thank you!

It would have been better other than ok on 1/28 22 but the customer service at the front door was terrible. Common courtesy if someone HANDS you $$ your state ID but DO NOT hand it back too you makes me feel some kind of way but the kicker was the lady assisting the door asked me "WHAT DUD YOU SAY ABOUT KC, and like a grown woman I repeated the above....she then looked at me with a friend and WATCHED ME, MY SISTER AND MY COUSIN. When we were leaving that same woman at that door assisting took it upon herself to tell my cousin "Tell your friends it's $5 to come back in" however I was just coming through when my cousin said "friends?" No you tell my cousins yourself. It was my sister bday and I flown in from Colorado. I feel more bartenders is needed as folks were overlooked and also the waitress was nice but we noticed how the prices went up for the same drink.....not bad but my experience could have been a little better, food not bad, grown folks music until the end at 53yo I wasn't ready for the late shenanigans cause they got a little rachet at the end. It was time too go. ES!!!

This use to be my go to place I love the bands/entertainment… but the service is not good… last summer they had real good service and food… NOW… make sure you shine light on your food the prices went up and the food went down… the shrimp still had the boo boo and they where fried and can see the boo boo oozing out… I got some chicken because I have to say they had some of the best wings in kc ooooo no not now it is horrible disgusting… this use to be the place to go… drink before you come because the drinks are horrible and very small but use the same cups but up the price just a shame I use to love this place… now I don’t mind paying if it’s good the waitress is eating and socializing so they can’t help you and the bartenders are doing they own thing just sad… the best greetings is at the door…. And we not going to talk about the service when they didn’t have air… as though it’s the customer fault lol…

Paid a $5 cover per person for 90 minutes of music. Band ended at 9pm. Atmosphere is a bit old. Service was pretty good but food is a bit pricey.

Lonnetta(bar tender) and Chef Steven were very welcoming and so very nice talking with them. Thanks for making our not a memorable one. We feel like family. P.S. see ya'll soon!

DeAnn is trash. Brought my dad here for his 70th birthday and she refused to wait on our table. Even after I got her attention, she entertained every other table, and never came to our table. Why? We had to keep getting up and walking to the bar. I reported her to the manager and the manager took our orders. What a buzz kill.

Overall all it was a pleasant experience. The band was fantastic. Food was decent. Drinks were ridiculously overpriced.

Very nice atmosphere. The drinks and food were excellent. I love supporting live music

The people are louder than the music, HELLA annoying. $5 charge just to walk through the doors when basically we were just stopping in to eat & left immediately after as they were the only ones open with food after an amazing daiquiri

My GF and I were looking to hear some good jazz and support black business so we decided to come to this place tonight 26 Mar 22. I had my GF go in as I parked. It was 12 am when their website says it closed at 1:30 , and the door was open. My GF walked in and stood at the door noone was there but two ppl. After a little while she asked " are you guys open " there was an older man there and he said " no there is no music playing !" .. She thought he was playing because surely noone who is in an establishment and wants customers would be that rude! Alast, he wasn't joking and the one bartender there mumbled " is she just going to stand there !?"... Ofocurse we left and will not be coming back. I can see why they are empty and have to close at 12am on a Friday in a Metropolitan area.

Love the drinks and listening to music. Could be cleaner. Door service needs work. Two stepping only. Decent food.

The environment was lovely 💐🥀🥀🥀🥀🌺🌺🌷🌱💮💮🌿🌾 I was there for a family event and I was very impressed by the jazz art displays. I had a chance to meet the partner,, she was very pleasant to chat with; especially since she was knowledgeable about sports. So I was all the way in my lane. I'm going back very soon. If you live in the KCMO area or plan to visit the area with the intent of having fun 😊 Check Em Off!!
