You know the food is amazing when you don’t deduct a star for the long wait. A staple in KC, the Peanut is one of the only places you should be eating wings in KC. The downtown location is small, and quaint with regulars sharing laughs and beers at the bar. The wings are PERFECT. Cooked and well seasoned and on this occasion I discovered their chili cheese fries. My new perfect combination!

The best wings around and great service when they're not slammed. So the wings are as good as ever regardless of the change in time. The wings are my favorite but the chicken nachos are hard to beat.

When someone tells you the wings are the only thing you need to buy, you tend to not question that. I know there are multiple locations but if they all do wings like this then I have a spot for wings all across this Metroplex. A great interior serving up great drinks and even better food with a good staff ready to quench your thirst. Wings are all I got and wings are all I needed

My first time back at this location in years and was not disappointed! The Peanut is like a dive bar inside and I mean that as a positive in every way possible. There’s a full bar with plenty of daily specials plus an incredibly varied menu with many different types of bar food. It would be a shock if you couldn’t find something to eat. And it will be cooked well. There are plenty of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and more The highlight of the menu are the Buffalo wings. They are huge, tasty and some of the best in the city. If you ask ten people in the city who makes the best wings, at least six will say it’s The Peanut. Basically, no matter which location you visit, you and your group will enjoy themselves.

Burger and fries are excellent! Cooked perfect and great quality and taste. Service was subpar, I didn’t get checked on the entire time I was waiting for food or eating for a refill or anything. Overall, great food if you want to try something new.

Wings are good and definitely huge. Typical bar, nothing special. Front house are friendly. Back house is a mess. Placed an order over the phone. We arrived 5 minutes exactly after our order time and she used our wings for someone else. It was not even busy. I waited over 40 minutes to get a new order for a dozen wings.

Super friendly atmosphere. Great service. The team seemed to work well together. The wings were delicious, super fresh and cooked perfectly. The ranch and blue cheese dressing were homemade but not my favorite. The fries and onion rings were pretty good, definitely fresh but not anything extra special. Overall the wings took the cake.

The best wings in all of KC! They are really big and I could only eat a little over 2 along with chili cheese fries

Came at like 3 pm, an employee didn’t really take my order until 10 minutes passed. Ordered 6 Buffalo Wings with ranch. I shoulda got the 3 wings with fries cause the 6 wings was way too much food for me. Wings we’re good but they did take about 20 minutes to prep. Overall, decent place

This is NOT fast food. The wings are full size and meaty. Takes about 20 extra minutes for wings Service is slow but there were only 2 guys working the floor. My only complaint would be there are only 2 flavors available Buffalo or plain.

Best BLT ever! Dive bar with good service and friendly wait staff. Not as “charming” as the original Peanut on Main, but it’s still great, especially if you live or work anywhere downtown. Go with the triple BLT, you won’t regret it.

I loved it a lot! The wings are obviously great, but I also loved the fries, which is usually a difficult get from me. I ordered onion rings too, which were good but unnecessary since the fries were so good. The cook, by the way, was the nicest guy and very efficient. Prepare to wait for your wings, though, because everyone's ordering them there lol

Overall our dinner there was we've come to expect from The Peanut. Good quality, reasonably priced food. I had the Supreme nachos and he had the Reuben. Onion rings, cheese fries as well. All of it was great. The only complaint would be the lack of staff. Our server was great. He was by himself which made his jib twice as hard especially since the tables and bar were full. But it did result in a very long wait time for food and when it did come it was not quite hot. But still tasted very good. We look forward to the next time we come!

Stopped by this hidden treasure for lunch. We enjoyed the BLT’s… which were delicious! The crinkle style French fries were also super fresh and crispy! Highly recommend!

Came here for work lunch as part of a 6 person group. The wings were good. The place has a dive bar type vibe. Atmosphere was chill but the 6 top table near the front window is sticky to the touch. Parking could be a challenge, be ready for meters.

My review would have been better, but the tables were not clean, and our waiter was MIA. He was the friendliest but never refilled drinks and just wasn't around much. When we first arrived, it wasn't busy. There were maybe four of us in there total. But the food was truly pretty good! The wings were crispy and had great flavor, and their chili is really unique and not like anything I have had before.

Without a doubt, the best wings I have ever eaten!. Killer blue cheese dipping sauce. Great charm. Old style. We love this place. Cold beer too.

Everyone raves about their wings, but I always go for their BLT with an egg and cheese fries. The cheese fries are drool worthy! Service is slow, but it’s a thing that like all locals know when going here, it’s a vibe inside and just hangout. We always get a few pitchers and bring some cards and hangout. Great local bar with the best food!

Really really good bar food with experienced service in a small but friendly atmosphere. Way more than just wings. Pro tip try the homemade blue cheese!

Very racist establishment! Sad to say because it's one of my favorite spots but I would never recommend this location. Went to dine was not greeted nor acknowledged. The waiter helped a table of 4 of Caucasian ethnicity and walked right passed us and went to the bar to join the other employees drinking while on the job. Much improvement needed!
