The food was amazing. I got a burrito and it tasted like a better chipotle. I also got the chips and guacamole. It might’ve been the best burrito I’ve ever had.

This place has some awesome tacos! There is a wide variety to choose from. One thing I will say is that almost all the tacos have at least one slightly to moderately spicy ingredient, so if you aren't into spice then you'll want to pay close attention to what you're ordering. Simplicity also isn't a priority here, so if you're looking for traditional street tacos then this might not be the place for you. All that being said, the tacos are super good! I wish we'd tried some other menu items but this was just a quick lunch. There were several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. The service was excellent too! The hostess seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else but that's my only complaint. We'll definitely be back!

Mission Taco Joint remains one of the best places in Downtown to grab a burrito and margarita at 9:00 on a weeknight (the kitchen stays open later on the weekends, to midnight). Simple dips are complimented by a thicker, slightly darker corn chip designed to stand up without breaking. I appreciate that they don't over salt the fare here, because the portions are such that if they did, you'd walk out with a headache. Plus, you're going to want to save your salt allotment for one of their excellent house-made margaritas. Despite a broad yet excellently prepared list of tacos, the real entree star might be the burritos, all of which come with generous portions of your preferred protein (including plant-based meat as a default on one burrito and an available substitution on any of them). I recommend the South Cali for a lighter burrito, or the Brah-rito if you haven't eaten all day. Be aware that the stage sometimes plays host to a variety of local music acts, some more successful than others, so call ahead if what you're looking for is a quieter night out or a date night. Thanks to the new nearby lots, parking is no longer nearly the concern at once was here, but if you're super concerned or in a rush, curbside pickup and takeout are both available.

A spot doing solid tacos any day of the week. A nice large interior with plenty of seating inside and out as well as a nice bar pouring some crazy good margaritas and cocktails. A good packed menu offering plenty off mix and match tacos for anybodys taste with some nice accompanying appetizers. Very friendly staff plus plenty of parking out back so bring a friend bring a date bring someone for tacos.

We decided to eat here after walking by the place a couple of times and I'm glad we did. The food here was great! The Brah'rito, the Ranchero Salad, and tacos we ordered tasted soooo good and the fritters were especially well done. I could have eaten a whole plate of those myself! The Mission Margarita I had complimented everything I ate. The outdoor seating area we sat at was small but had good music and was cozy and away from people, and our waitress was fantastic. Even though we sat outside she was very attentive and nice. Everything came out pretty quickly too. So good food, good vibes, and fast quality service!

A friend of mine brought me dinner tonight from Mission Taco joint. It was no more than a 10 minute drive to my location. When I opened up my food, my two tacos were sitting in a disgusting pool of grease. My friend said that that was the exact condition the tacos were in when she left the restaurant, and she even mentioned something to the staff who didn’t seem to care one bit. I will never go back.

Very beautiful restaurant, but got several things, and all of it tasted very bland & funky. The salsa was unlike any other salsa ive had. It had a beefy taste to it and was plain. The margarita wasn’t even frozen. Overall, me & my 2 friends expected the food to be amazing based off the reviews. Staff was super nice though. But food wise, Very disappointing.

The atmosphere is neat, but the food is mediocre at best. We were drinking at the breweries around the restaurant so it is a conveniently located restaurant when you need something to eat. The spicy margarita was mostly sour mix which was a bummer.

I've been multiple times and have always had a great experience. But our server a couple nights ago was amazing. Really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I always get the painkiller cocktail, and the new Jamaica taco was delicious.

Pretty sub par for Mexican food kind of disappointing, didn't have much flavor overpriced for a torta. No entrees come with sides so that's what we're gonna grab you with extra money. The fact that you put California burrito on there and it's a vegan option is a disgrace to all California burritos, California burrito consist of carne asada French fries cheese and pico de gallo

Stopped in again for dinner after some record shopping. The food and service were great. The only downside was that after we were seated, someone from the staff came and questioned us if we had checked in or not. Really?! On a busy Saturday night we managed to slip past everyone and seat ourselves. Not likely. First time stopping in. Will not be the last!! Returned for another visit. Had some different tacos this time, and tried the corn bites. Delicious!

We went here for lunch during Kansas City Restaurant Week. All of the tacos we had were awesome. Full of flavor, fresh ingredients and perfect amount of filling. We had Carne Molida, Baja Fish, Mango Hop Anero Shrimp, Portobello, Carne Asada and Yucatecan Pork tacos and loved every single one. The Refried Black Beans were good but I really liked the flavor of the Cilantro Rice. The service was lacking. We waiting a long time to be able to order, a long time getting our food and a long time to get our check and pay. We were there almost 2 hours. It wasn't that busy, just under 3/4 full, and they seemed to have plenty of staff.

Very friendly staff. They helped my wife with her Gluten Free requirements. The guacamole is tasty but mild. The carne asada taco was cooked properly and the meat was tender but needs a little more spice. The BLT taco is more of a novelty than a taco. Really loved the flavor of the carne molida taco, I'll come back for more of them. Their margaritas are STRONG and tasty. The bartender and manager even had a shot of tequila with us. Great place.

Very good, BLT taco, the sandwiches. Food was on point. Drinks could of been better. But will definitely go back.

NOW that was some Great tacos! Mathew was our server and he suggested the BLT taco and I should have got a whole mess of them. the sweetness when you fist bite in was refreshing then the spicy bacon was excellent. I also tried a hot fried chicken the had a great spice and crunch from the chicken. and lastly was a Carne Asada that tasted very authentic. over all great tacos I will.need to go back when I am back in town

For cocktails, I ordered the Smugglers Blue ( a margarita drink with fruit syrups). It was very tasty and well made, but it did take about 10 minutes to arrive from the bar, which seemed a bit slow. We ordered the chicken South Beach burrito and a couple of the tacos. My companion is a native of San Francisco and a mission style burrito expert; his option was that it was pretty good, but somewhat small (especially for the price). Regardless, we left full and our overall opinion was that it was good, but a bit overpriced for the servings.

The food was absolutely positively amazing. And the waitress was just as amazing on top of everything so nice. I will definitely be going back to this place quite often.

A large group of us came here for lunch after a work conference. Our server was great and flexible with us when our party didn’t arrive all at once. Their pitcher classic margaritas were delicious and were a good deal! We loved their carne asada fries and baja dipping sauce. They have many delicious tacos and you really can’t go wrong with any of them! Great place to grab a bite and try many different flavor profiles of tacos! We easily found street parking during the lunch hour and no wait for weekday lunch, even with a large party.

The tacos were delicious! I had the hot chicken & the habanero shrimp (in the photo), and the Baja fish taco. And it wasn’t too loud inside for a busy place which was nice. For anyone new- they do bring out tacos together on one rack, so if you need to separate yours for allergy purposes let them know!

Great food! At first I thought....tacos yea right. After getting my first one was hooked! The variety is great, the quality is even better. I recommend the smothered burrito, the asada sauce is great! My only complaint is that they are I touch expensive.

This place is unique and awesome. Our server was great. We ordered chips and salsa, queso, 4 tacos, cheese quesadilla and French fries, and a Margherita. All were super delicious. Tacos had a slight spice kick to them but were still super delicious with lots of flavor.
